nwoke37: You need to see a doctor. In financial recessions, big cities are most affected while villages barely notice it. What this means is the GDP of Lagos definitely receded more than the average national GDP and that $62 billion is definitely the best it could be. Only a Nigerian would think their economic heartbeat increased in GDP by over 50% while the rest of the country reduced by 31%, lol. |

Daejoyoung: The GDP of Kenya is $88 billion in 2018, that's about a quarter of your GDP - our population is also a quarter of yours. You'd be a special kind of foolish to find our too small whilst boasting that yours is a giant GDP. |

Kenya is doing well - we've grown for the last 15yrs - and will definitely grow for the next 15yrs. our economy has grown from 12B to now 88B - and so in 15 yrs - we expect that 88M to transform into 500B. And it' won't be cooked. Our growth sectors are well known and not cooked 1) Agriculture & livestock is main source of economy at 25% - tea & horticulture bring about 3B dollas and we are global leaders in both.Dairy industry -we've overtaken South Africa and produce billions litres of milk - by investing in modern dairy farming. Coffee..best quality beans out there. 2) Manufacturing 10% (we are second biggest source of manufactured goods in comesa after Egypt) . 3) Financial & inter-mediation 10% ( arguably now one of Africa's most developed after South Africa - & globally one of fastest growing). 4) Retail & trade at 10% ( Without doubt Africa second most developed retail & wholesale sector after South Africa - with so many homegrown super-market and malls that are starting to rival south Africa) 5) ICT at 10% (Without doubt Africa best -and probably equals South Africa). 6) Real estate & Construction at 10% (Without doubt Africa fastest growing & most profitable - with so many skcrappers under development including Africa tallest building at 70 floors...and couple around 50 floors). 7) Social sectors - you know we have budget the size of Nigeria...so we spend a lot in education, military, social services. 9) Tourism & hospitality - Invented the world safaris and definitely the choice destination for many travellers worldwide. 10) Energy (Example of having green energy - largest geothermal power in Africa - and largest wind farm ) And other small sectors. Kenya GDP IS VERY VERY SOLID. NOTHING COOKED. Danielnino00: 1 Like |

You nigerians are not to blame - you've one worst education system. Only 15% of Ethiopia is arable. 10% of Kenya is arable. Around a whooping 40% of Nigeria is arable. Obviously that has not stopped kenya from being an agricultural power-house. obaaderemi: 1 Like |

rvp2018: That’s why I said transmission. Low transmission capacity is why Nigeria can’t give out its full 12000 mw to users.Nigeria is working on improving its transmission... And have you heard of the private sector. In many projects, the Nigerian government doesn’t have to spend a dime, but they’ll encourage the private sector to invest |

Daejoyoung: Look at it this way, economists say the backbone of the economy of Kenya is Agriculture yet Nairobi generates 40-50% of Kenya's GDP. Interestingly, there's no farming in Nairobi. You get the gist? I hope you do - see, the oil doesn't have to necessarily be mined in Lagos for Lagos to be dependent on it. Read some economics for heaven's sake. |

First I when I said Nigeria GDP was over-cooked this was merely an hunch based on all COMMONSENSE - but the more I digged in the more I was convinced it was totally over-baked.Okay I guess all that didn't prepare for the SHOCK I got 1hr ago when I actually took the trouble to check GDP figures from the SOURCE. Okay so at it's apex (and now) - NIgeria GDP was 500B plus Impressive yeah. Dig down a little bit.... Agriculture (farming), Fishing and Forestry accounts for what WHOOPING 40% of that GDP. Forget that Nigeria's agriculture long collapsed for a second...and actually the talk is to revive? So just stop there. Nigeria Agri/Fishing & Forest is 40% of 500B. That is 200B dollars worth of GDP right there. I am not sure which country in planet earth has really BIG AGRICLUTURE/FISHING/FORESTRY - But I started from US ( I think Netherland, Brazil, Russia, Canada etc are some good examples). And you know when I checked..US's FARMING, FISHING AND FORESTRY HAS NEVER BEEN WORTH 200B dollars. In short Nigerians are telling us their AGRICULTURE/FISHING/FARMING IS WAY BIGGER THAN US. US that probably has 10 times Nigeria farm land...and 10 or 20 times it's productivity. THIS IS TRULY NIGERIAN. I mean 401 Nigeria con. It's audacious. I'll next check Brazil Agriculture GDP - Netherlands? just for the laugh of it. Apparently Nigeria has the world BIGGEST agriculture and we didn't even know And to make it even more hilarous - their biggest part of that agricluture is wait a minute PEANUTS and well some ground nuts, simsim and throw in some cassava, yam & well some cattle. And just before we check say Brazil - which has huge agriculture - huge fishing - and Amazon forest - remember the peanut 200B worth of agriculture that Nigeria boast about IMPORT BASICALLY all it's food - rice, wheat, milk, tomato paste - name anything - the agriculture basically long collapsed - and all petrol dollars are used to import food. 2 Likes |
Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp20182: 3:54pm On Apr 27, 2018 |
Example 2: Brazil's Agriculture ( Which in GDP mean ISIC divisions 1-5 -includes forestry, hunting, and fishing, as well as cultivation of crops and livestock production) It's apex in contribution to GDP as you would expect in any country (not nigeria) was 26% of GDP in 1960s - and now it's 5.5% of GDP as of 2016. Naturally all countries except Nigeria will see contribution of agri to GDP reduce to nothing - because it's has little value ( all the peanuts in the world are worth maybe 1,000 iphones ). Kenya GDP /agri gdp has similarly dropped to now 23%...and dropping annually. Brazil GDP is 1.8 trillion...and it's share of Agriculture is 99 billion dollars...about size of Kenya's GDP. Nigeria are telling us their agriculture is TWICE BRAZIL, more than US and apparently it one of world hidden wonders. Now just imagine how good brazil are in agriculture (think of sugar, soya beans, name it), think of Amazon forest and think all that is worth 99BILLION dollars..when measured by somebody with a brain cell... Yemi Kale tells Nigerians - you have 200B dollars worth of Agriculture I mean Granted...you have all the peanuts in the world but surely - you agriculture is bigger than US of A - bigger than Brazil? Sorry but I haven't stopped laughing the last 2hrs...I think folks around me think I am crazy 2 Likes |

rvp20182: I wish I could give you ten likes! AHAHAHAHA! Negroes,do you really imagine you're in the same league with Brazil!? On any level? This post is for the genius posting about CBK Kenya shs issues he didn't understand. The Kenyan shilling (KES) shot up in value against the U.S. dollar amid renewed political stability, which has led to a resurgence in strong capital inflows. On 20 April, the shilling closed the day at 100.1 KES per USD, which represented a 0.7% appreciation over the same day of the previous month and marked the highest value since July 2015.https://www.focus-economics.com/country-indicator/kenya/exchange-rate Our fundamentals are solid as rvp1018 has stated repeatedly and its reflected in shilling strength. As we're exporters it shouldn't get too strong and by end year I see it at 94 to 96. Like I said earlier Anglo Zionist false flags severely hit our tour industry reducing dollar inflows. Again, our economic fundamentals on the macro are SOLID. |

So I think the chart on their website is confusing. I have seen dug into their reports..and I see their agriculture share still around 20-25% - still that is humonous - they are claiming their agriculture is worth 100-150 dollars - US agriculture is around 1.1% of it's 17 trillion economy - around 180B dollars. And Nigeria are telling us - at their apex - in 2015/2014- there was BIGGER 1 Like

Everything is starting to make sense now. Their cooking is audacious though. Anyway that is Nigerian we all know. As regard to kenya - I can easily give a quick ran through of where all 85-88B (WB-IMF) is coming from. Our agriculture is around 25% of 85B-- around 21B dollars. Dairy alone is like 5% of our GDP - we finally have kicked South Africa butt on that!!! - and are exporting to east, south & central africa - middle east and Asia. That about 4-5B dollars or more - for dairy with around 5B liters of milk - tea around 1.5-2b dollars (global leaders( - horticulture I think is now 2-3B dollars(global leaders). Coffee around 500Musd. That is already more than 10B dollars...and those are stuff that are verifiable because they are mostly exported..then add internally consumed sugar, maize, potatos, cattle production, rice, wheat...fishing..forestry..and you get the next 10B. We can go to each sector..and show these nigerians that you don't count BEANS,PEANUTS and COWPEAS - and call it GDP. kikuyu1: |
