People imagine that once they cross the border into Canada that it's happily ever after...They don't know that many asylum seekers are eventually deported. In 2017 Canada deported over 8000 asylum seekers according to reports. You can bet that number will increase this year. This is fast becoming a topical issue in Canada and with the coming elections next year, the sentiment might move to tightening the immigration process that the Liberals have put in place. 7 Likes |

rusher14:lol....the word hypocritical is abused. Aboki means an uneducates hausa man in street palance. Tell me apart from yaradua (who I think is the best Nigeria ever had) any other northern ruler with education so far? Dankwambo on the other hand is a phd holder and an accomplished accountant. Are northerners not Nigerians? I dont hate them...i just hate the uneducated ones who happen to get their masses support to run the country aground because of bigotry 3 Likes |

Our leaders should be totally ashamed of themselves reading all these things happening to Nigerians. I mean this is a country blessed with everything and I mean everything. Good weather, good aquatic splendour, natural resources, beautiful people, tall and able bodied men and women, Oceans for seaport and trade and tourism, minerals, coal, oil, good arable land for agriculture. So why on Earth are we still see so beggarly. No Nigerian should ever be seen in a situation like this smuggling their way to go and become refugee in a hard cold environment. The enemies of our dear country should please leave her alone let visionary and patriotic nationals bring out the milk and honey flowing in our land. What sort of wicked leaders do we have in this country that cannot think of country first. If we need to break this nation then let us agree to agree we cannot continue like this. We don't belong where some wicked people in this Nigeria want to put us. No we don't belong there. We are great because God has made us so, we have everything to be greater than America and Canada put together. 10 Likes |

LordAdam16: So you think because Canada is more liberal, they should just throw their borders open for any illegal immigrant in US. Just to enlighten your ignorant suggestion, Canada population is mere 36 million compare to US that is over 325 million. Influx of illegal immigrants from US will significantly affect the welfare system and economic plan of the country. Anyone that gets into the US should be able to enter Canada. For the quoted above, after September 11, you need a visa to enter Canada from US and vice versa unless you have a Canadian passport or US passport. Even a permanent resident in Canada needs a visa to enter US and same applies to US permanent resident. The fact that Canada is still accepting these illegal immigrants without Canadian visas shows how hospitable Canada is. US will never do the same if it were to be the other way round. US should get their shiit together and be accountable for people they give visiting visa Just so you know. Canada and US are 2 separate countries. 4 Likes 1 Share |

I expect to see Northern Christians from Borno and Adamawa states with names like Mshelia,Msheliza,Balami,Zoaka etc and Muslims in same region with names like Abba kyari,Bulami,Bukar Mandara,Maina,Bantam etc as names of those seeking asylum from Boko Haram. Not Chukwuma who lived all his life in Owerri and Lagos and has never been to the middle belt talk more of core north. Some are even seeking asylum based on sexual orientation.SCAM!!! 6 Likes |
