2 goals and 2 assists.

You're absolutely right about Dessers. He's only living on past exploits on this thread. When last has he scored a goal, or how many in the last ten games?

This is common practice in Africa. Almost every club and country have at one time paid some gratifications to match officials to influence games. Football is not so pure as some people will think.

NIGERIA REFEREE OGABOR BANNED ONE YEAR FOR ATTEMPTED MATCH MANIPULATION
The CAF Referees Committee on 28 April 2018, has confirmed the recommendation of the CAF Disciplinary Board to ban Nigeria referee Joseph Ogabor from any official mission for one year for attempted match manipulation with respect to the Total CAF Confederation Cup 1/16th round first leg between Plateau United (Nigeria) and USM Alger (Algeria) played on 7 April 2018 in Lagos.

The decision follows investigations conducted and evidence submitted by the South African match officials of the said match, who were contacted by Ogabor to provide “technical assistance” to the Nigerian team.

Also, Plateau United was cautioned to refrain from the practice of hospitality gifts which tend to create wrong impression.

In a related development, the South African Football Association have been ordered to render an apology to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after investigations proved there was no evidence of whatsoever of any official of the NFF regarding an allegation of US$30,000 bribe.

but I still fear for Moses Simon....
any good play from Henry or yinka should the latter two get to play for the super eagles... prior the release of the final list....

may erase Moses Simon chances....

Of course. Do you think the Ghanaian ref influenced the SA vs Senegal world cup qualifier on just his own accord? It's a pity due deligence wasn't exhausted on that incident. Could be the ref received "hush" money to be the fall guy. (You know what I mean)
Nigeria is not exempted as well. The presidential tax force in 2010 comes to mind. Lol

Puel: I Hope Ndidi Recovers In Time For World Cup

Leicester City manager Claude Puel hopes Wilfred Ndidi will recover in time from the harmstring injury he picked up in Saturday’s 5-0 loss to Crystal Palace to be part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ndidi was replaced by Aleksandr Dragovic in the 51st minute of the encounter following the injury.

“I hope it is not a serious injury for Ndidi and I hope he can play in the World Cup, all the scenarios today were bad for us. We will see,” Puel told the club’s official website.
“It is a hamstring injury. I hope it is not serious of course because it is an important moment.”

The midfielder has featured in 33 Premier League games for the Foxes this season and has recorded four assists.

He played a key role in Nigeria’s qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia in a group that has African heavyweights, Cameroon and Algeria
Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr will also hope the player shake off the injury in time to be part of his squad to the mundial.

Guilty conscience is worrying this man. He knows he should have considerably rested Ndidi... He should have spared him some action.

Talking as if he has no idea of what to do to avoid the ugly occurrence.

8 goals and 5 assists in 24 matches he played as an AMF.

Meaning, he contributed in 13 goals directly or indirectly in 24 matches. That's a good one coming from Ajagun.

Is there any Nigerian player that has contributed for a team in the AMF role in the whole wide World currently? grin

I don't think so. grin

Amuneke: Iwobi Must Be Aggresive For Bigger Role In Super Eagles
April 29, 2018 11:56 am
By Johnny Edward:

Former Super Eagles assistant coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, wants Alex Iwobi to be more aggressive in showing for Nigeria, a stern quality that will make him a mainstay in the national team, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Amuneke believes Iwobi can fill in the creative void in the Super Eagles if John Mikel is missing, but admits he needs to take that extra step to ensure he fulfils his tremendous potential for the team.

“He’s a player with great ability, he can play in tight areas, that he turns the game forward, that he’s very mobile, which is good for the team,” Amuneke told CSN .
“There’s a lot more to come from him, but he must be aggresive to succeed as an attacking player.

“Personally, our midfield lacks enough creative spark and he can fit in well slightly off the striker.

Iwobi is expected to feature for Arsenal later today (Sunday) when the Gunner face Manchester United in an English Premier League game at the Old Trafford.
