EgunMogaji: For a 10 bedroom building the 70mm is theoretically fine, assuming you will have full occupancy. Are you using acs? Those are your biggest load. 1 Like |

oyb: I will have AC. I doubt full occupancy except during major holidays but definitely not on a continuous basis. |

twinskenny: Now I have a better understanding now. So the 70mm is the actual powerline cable @ 400'. My person will be buying it and I will pass the info onwards about the potentially frauduletn conversion to 50mm. I'm in some kind of village in Ibadan. I've seen some of the installations and I don't think any professional NEPA was involved What should I be looking at for the recline? |

EgunMogaji: 18000 btu ac is around 2 kva if I recall. So thats 22 kva. Lighting is no big deal in these days of led. You may also have to consider water heaters. Basically, you want to size for 30 kva or more.if money is no object, get over of those pole mounted transformers (30 to50 kva) you will however need bare aluminium conductor for that. |

EgunMogaji: the alluminium guage inside must at least be correct measurement..if they are given u 70mm it has to be 70mm if its 50mm which i think will work for u it has to be 50mm.. allcopacetic explained some pages back how to detect this.. even if you buy the cable yourself.. u will still need to get the involve, they will be the one to connect for you. i think u will pay some fees in this regard... so what we do most time is to run either the recline or armored cable to the pole and call them for termination 1 Like

EgunMogaji: Professional and nepa do not belong in the same sentence.most of this work is done by nepa 'approved contractors' who will shock you with their arrogant incompetence Their goal is to maximise the money from you. 2 Likes |

Rubbiish: 1) Nigerians don't embrace technology easily. But not to worry, the Chinese will come in, introduce it and make you guys their slaves all over again. 2) Instead of staying here being just another frustrated EgunMogajiHolic, why don't you stop being just another #LazyNigerianYouth and lead the charge? Abi those using it have two heads? 3) What's stopping you from positioning yourself as the future supplier of bamboo? You guys were given brains yet you fail to use a small percentage of it. |
