I did it on day 4 (just after my period) . What I understood from ur response is that odds of ovulating are against me.... also I forgot to add that my period is very regular

Estradiol, LH, FSH... day3
Progesterone... day 21.

Do also a Thyroid hormone profiling in addition to it.

I would have wanted to know something deeper but ...

@2ballz cheesy cheesy cheesy welcome back!!!
I weaned my baby 5months ago but ever since then when I press my breast it brings out clear fluid or yellow. I hope it's not preventing me from conceiving because I started trying last month.

The level of prolactin in an adult female after pregnancy is usually not the same before parity. It may fall down but not to the level of nulliparity. This is the reason for what you have seen to observe.

And so,it shouldn't. However, come back to me again should within a gap of 3 months nothing happens with same line of complaint or in addition, others in association.

Doctors in the house, Pls help...

I have a son of 1yr and 4months, I exclusively breastfed him for 6 months, then weaned him totally when he's 1year and one month. I started seeing my period on the 7th month after his birth. I tried to conceive after I weaned him but it's been abortive, do I have a cause to worry. And what do you think could have slowed down my chances of conceiving. Please I look forward to your response sir/ma. God bless you all for the good works you've been doing.

Your son is a year and 4months,you did breastfeeding for 6month and as well did see your period at the 7months after his birth. You may have been wanting pregnancy for 9months to complete the age of your first son.

This period is enough for any woman to worry about not having a pregnancy in the due course. However, in place of that I perceptively adjure you not to bother much over it. The cause could be normal and in another sense could be abnormal.

Are you still having increase nipple discharges?
With an increase or fail in high of prolactin after your puerperum, circulating prolactin could stand as restrain to have proper functioning of hormones that regulate your hormones. This may be a cause.

Did you have a postpartum haemorrhage?
Women with postpartum haemorrhage then to suffer long before carrying another after ban erstwhile pregnancy. This is because of severe bleeding during c-section or during vagina birth that in one way or the other affected brain function and response to her reproduction.

Substances used during your puerperium?
Some of us could have use substances, or native medications that could in one way or the other affected the quick chances to carry pregnancy.

Using of Family planning methods?
Depending on the family planning you could have indulge upon, some family planning used soon after giving birth could become a factor to not carry pregnancy in the time most necessary.

Hormonal imbalance?
A change in your hormone serum distribution after birth can also stand as a factor too.

Do you know your ovulation date after pregnancy?
Inability to identify when you are ovulating just in every cycle after a 12-month break may also be an individual err, though not functional.

Hope this helps?

Thanks doc, but the only thing I experienced which isn't normal is a heavier flow after childbirth. My period became heavier. There wasn't any form of birth control pill, can't say about hormonal imbalance?? okay , no nipple discharges after I weaned him, it completely stopped after few weeks. I can't tell my ovulation cycle because of inconsistency on my monthly period, some come in 30, 31, or 32 days. I've been TTC for for 3 months because I assumed breastfeeding was a form of birth control for my body.. Though I might be wrong.
What do you suggest I do, run a test or something?

You may kindly wait little,as your normal reproductive function may boom.
But after a pass of 2-3 cycles, seek to know whatever could have led to this subfertility by doing just hormone profiling of your reproductive hormone for a start.

I bid you goodwill.

Hello Doc, a friend has not seen her period for 4years now, she says she has been using some herbs here and there. I told her to go to a hospital and get some test done, which she did. After the different kinds of test the doctor said she has entered menopause, that her case is rare to him, that he doesn't have the facilities for her case and all sort without prescribing anything or even referring her elsewhere.
Please sir what can she do? She's in her late twenties and not married. Is all hope lost? She's not a nairalander that's why am asking on her behalf. Will really appreciate ur response.
So sorry for the long post

She is in her late twenties and a doctor consummated her menopausal? A gynaecologist said that?

Well, she should have us discussed using a WhatsApp medium or a Facebook messenger. Though,I will make charges for such a service.

If her cycle was pretty regular why was she having a high range of ovulation date?
It could have been simple and specific. The wide range could have been a miscalculation somewhere or probably from the app. However, she did well to have covered through the range.

She should try a beta-serum hCG test done in the clinic,it is not that early as a week has already past since her assumed ovulation date.

I wouldn't want to get her discouraged, but she should try get a narrow ovulation window to increase chances for pregnancy. And we have helpful measures to see her through that. Let me know what comes around.

Good morning.

If she is pregnant subsequently the HPT will come out positive except in a case of Cryptic pregnancy.
But if she is not, what expect you?

Perhaps, she could be pregnant but her level of hCG produced by her corpus luteum still goes undetected in her urine probably because it might still be in minute concentration in blood or urine as the case may be. Or,she is carrying out the HPT in the wrong hour of the day.

But the underlying issue here is,if she is not pregnant she shouldn't be expecting BFP from HPT or clinic.

If you have had piles and given birth naturally, please share your experience.

Thanks.

I am interested in your telling me where you need education on. We are yet to know all about the human body but for the ones we have known has plenty of diversions as we begin talk in depth.

I haven't had pile as a man neither have I given birth before for the natural has halt me to. But,you want me to tell you stories of those that overcome that difficulties having pile and perhaps delivered naturally or separably of both.

Get me in private, ask me what you want to learn off. I shall mind my charges as an offset to see this through.

Good evening doc. I had an infection (candida albicans and proteus mirabilis) after my last period. I used pefloxacin orally and miconazole insert tablets. My new period started 8 days back, it's mostly very light and spotting and I just noticed big blood clots too. Please what can the problem be? Side effects of the antibiotics?

Yes! the antibiotics could stand as a factor but really may not also. Clots happens sometimes too where you could have less clot-breaking-factors in the blood. These factors necessarily have a role in loosing the menstrual fluid to ensure a proper flow. Another normal reason for clot could be as a result of increase uterine tissue breakdown during menstruation.

Apart from these, others could be abnormal such as those ones seen in fibroid,Pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, uterine cancer, dysfunctional uterine bleeding and what have you.

If this is coming from the use of medications, it will stop as soon as those drugs leave the system. It is okay, not really a problem. But should it continue and with other secondary pelvic problems, let's know.

Good morning.

Good morning.

Sure it is,madam. But the attempt is not by attaching your complaint to the drug used,it is only a mere exercise in assuming factors randomly.
I kindly refer you to a former post on this matter as to see how this clotting could be seen beyond medication effect.

Is this not the first time experiencing this clot?
