Cretaceous: I’ve not flown BA but I had a very good experience with KLM. No fit to fly needed and infant ticket was cheap. I paid about N40,000 in their Nigeria office through my hubby. I heard BA charges a lot to add infant ticket 1 Like |

What of in a case where LO’s passport was received in less than 5 working days before departure? I’m asking because I only got my LO’s passport last Friday and sent the application for the voa that same friday. I’m yet to receive the approval letter and my travel date is May 2. What can I do, please? ozymes: |

ozymes:I think you can apply up to three working days before your trip. I applied today 30th April for a trip on 3rd May and I received approval documents same day. Probably because tomorrow is a public holiday in Nigeria |

All of you people flying KLM and BA una be multimillionaires ohh..checked their fare yesterday I dey see like a million plus for just normal economy..Never knew it is as expensive as that. The likes of Emirates are co are not as expensive as that but the hours you will use in the sky is just too long..I mean do they allow pregnant women to fly 16hours non stop?I wonder if pregnant women can survive that far distance or am I just being afraid 1 Like |

Pls gurus in the house, someone that is applying for a B2/ medical visa, should she fill the doctors address as contact address in the Us or she should fill her aunty's address she have been using previously on her Ds160 form. And pls for her child's form as well, which address can be used as they are applying for the visa together. Note: she already has correspondences from doctor and hospital. Thanks. |

Congrats ....triple happy .quote author=Ms2ra post=67157596]Hello All, I just want to say a very big thank you to you all. This forum helped me with my visa application. I’ll love to share my story as it might help the next person. I’ve been to the United States several times in the past and still have a valid visa expiring in July (exactly on my EDD). I decided to renew the visa via Dropbox as I wasn’t comfortable being in another man’s land with an expired visa (I later learnt from this forum that this wasn’t an issue as your duration of stay is determined by the CBP) I applied through Dropbox with 3 other members of my family (our visas were expiring on the same day). All 3 of them got their visa but me. I was asked to schedule a follow-up interview based on a 221g category. Many thanks to this forum I got all my supporting documents ready, scheduled the interview and below is my transcript. VO: Good Morning Me: Good Morning and how are you doing? VO: Very well thank you. And why are you going to the United States Me: Vacation and to have my baby VO: I see you’ve traveled several times to the U.S, do you always stay in New Mexico (this info he clearly got from my DS160) Me: Oh no, my sister just moved there from Visalia, California, it will be my first time in Albuquerque NM. VO: I don’t know which is worse Visalia, CA or Albuquerque, NM...hahahha Me: hahahha (I didn’t get the joke though) VO: So what do you do Me: I work with so so so and so VO: For how long? Me: x years now VO: Are you married? Me: Yes VO: Will your husband be traveling with you? Me: Sadly no because of work but my mum will be joining me later on. VO: What does your husband do? Me: He also works in the same place as I do as so so so and so VO: What’s your budget for this trip? Me: $15,000 VO: Have you made any payments? Me: No I haven’t, I decided to wait till after the interview just in case VO: Good decision. Do you have an appointment with a doctor and can I see statement showing you can pay for this trip. Me: Sure...handing him the appointment letter from the doctor’s office, the hospital and doctor’s bills and also my statement of accounts. VO: Oh great, after reviewing for about a minute. He returned all documents and starts typing for what seemed like forever and then he says... VO: Your visa has been granted, you can pick up your passport at the address circled after you receive an email or text message for pick up. Me: Thank you very much. From time of entry to exit all took about 30minutes. [/quote] |

Biodun1234: Now you need to get an appointment at the embassy in Lagos . Please note that the notary doesn’t come everyday and the appointment date is over one month so I will advise your husband to book and appointment soon even before your baby comes . The Nigerian US embassy was really difficult, because you don’t pay for the notary service . My husband finally went to Ghana to get this done .My advice will be to get an appointment date early in Lagos and please call them to confirm what day the notary comes . |

ozymes: You should only apply 14 days before your departure date . I got my LO’s passport 4 days before and I applied immediately. I also called the number on their website after 24hours and explained the urgency since the weekend was approaching. I got my approval letter the next day. 2 Likes |

I read it was 10kg too and was told 10kg as well when i booked the infant ticket on the phone. So i packed 10kg and was slightly overweight on my other suitcases. When i got to check-in in America, the lady said i would have to pay excess on my other two suitcases but i had 23kg for the infant. So i just asked to her to give me sometime to repack. Actually had to go and buy a travelling bag to do this. So I ended up checking in 3 23kg bags and her carseat and had 4 hand luggage(diaper bag is treated same as handbag) plus pushchair. The second time, I was going to the UK, didn't need the 23kg when i was going but coming back i checked in the 3 23kg and nothing was said. I think it's 23kg for their long haul flights.
