I've read a lot of comments in this thread and learned a lot even though I've not really attained my desired goal... I'm a new seller on fiverr... I've been active for close to 4months now...I have 2 gigs for writing and virtual assistant... I've made 12 sales so far with total earning of around $180+...I never bought reviews...i just try to improve my appearance by updating and optimizing my gigs... However, I'll like if someone can advice on how to better improve so I can attain level 1..

Yels... for those having notification issues on android nougat like myself, I think I just got the fix, try it out and let us know the outcome, my app is been alerting faster since yesterday.

Step 1: Go to app permissions in settings, then special access, then battery optimization, locate "fiver" click on it and set it to not optimized.

Step 2: Under the same app permissions, locate unrestricted data access, look for "fiverr" and ensure to remove restriction, click on the toggle to change it to blue (in my case)

Step 3(optional): Got to notifications in settings, locate "fiverr" click on it and toggle the override do not disturb in order to give its notification higher priority even when your profile setting is on DND.

step 4 (most important): In your menu look for this app "phone master", its the main guy causing the wahala. Open the app and go to auto-start management, ensure you change "fiverr" from prohibited to allowed. (And if you are like me and your only important social media na NL, you can prohibit the insta-wateva and FB so that your ram will not cry too much).

step 5 (still important): Go back to the landing page of the "phone master", top right corner click on the gear symbol, click protected apps, check "fiverr" so its protected, and as before you can uncheck the insta and FB.

I think that should solve the issue, other android versions having same issue can follow the guide, they should be similar.

The next hurdle for me now na how to make the notification ring for longer, the phone just lets the music I set as notification, play for only about 10secs, that can't wake me up at say 3AM na >:

I don't think there is any other way for you to withdraw the money. Because even if you want to shop online, you still need card details. If you want to use sendvalu, atm would still be needed. Just apply for atm

Talking of growing our business, like mrphysics, I am also worried that this thread is no longer serving its purpose, especially in recent times.

The thread is now rife with TOO MANY adverts. We no longer share valuable tips like before. And When some people come here with their challenges, they hardly get lasting solutions, perhaps except for those who are willing to do so for a fee. I'm not happy with this.

In lieu of this, I too support that we create a new thread where we can explicitly discuss freelancing business, especially as it relates to fiverr. Apparently, some of the info on this thread are becoming obsolete due to the recent changes in fiverr's ToS. That said, most of the info contained here are still relevant which is why I'd suggest that we archive this thread. Heck, the innumerable number of pages is even somewhat overwhelming for new readers.

Who else share in my sentiments? Would you prefer that we open a new thread? Please indicate.

I will also Like to add...after all the tips and you start making a killing on fiverr, dont rely on the 1k you making on fiverr alone. Invest that cash and diversify, fiverr money is seed money. Be glad and happy you can post 1k screenshots today but dont get too excited , you dont have control. Create a passive business for your self, remember no work , no pay on fiverr and this is not the business mindset you should live on. Reason why the big chaps in the thread are silent and the thread seems very much derailed. Its cool the way you encouraging each other thou, but I dont see the new for a new thread, any self leaner would no how to dig deep the thread and get important ingredients for his own success.

First change your Gig video and image ( Don't change any other thing only the ones l mention)

Secondly use Twitter to share your Fiverr Gig link and make sure many people retweet your post.

Repeat it for 2 -3 day. Go back and check your ranking and report it here.

If you can't do it then Let me help you.

Nice one bro. This month didn't end the way I expected. I was thinking I could make about $1200 and I am running short of that goal. Most buyers don't come back to mark their order as completed, so I have to wait for 3 days for it to get automatically marked as completed. This is basically what is holding me from reaching my target. I have delivered 3 orders and with other 3 order in queue.

I also noticed that my response rate isn't increasing even when I reply all messages in less than 30 minutes after they were sent. Due to this decrease in my response rate, I wake up inbetween sleeps to ensure that messages are responded to at most 1 hour after they were sent.


I agree with you that we need to create new thread to discuss fiverr business/sales. I am only afraid that the exchangers will also fill it with their exchange adverts. While it is important to create that thread, I think we need the mods to help us moderate it. Someone need to flag those advert and review sales posts.

Exactly! That's the same thing I am facing. My response rate had dropped form 100 to 98%. Same with completed orders.

You have to respond within 15 minutes less the bots mark you down. I also noticed that cancelation of gigs adversely affects one's account: I had a recent experience with a customer who made a large custom order and refused to communicate for over 48 hours despite my persistent messages to him. The chap decided to cancel the order, says he wanted to test his card or something - can you imagine? Anyway, I sent him the cancelation request and after that I have been on 'late 90s' ratings since.

Going forward, always insist that they CONTACT YOU FIRST before placing an order to see if you are available. This is good for level 2 sellers and above as you ought to be getting sales organically.

Finally, I noticed if you optimize your gigs before evaluation day - descriptions, images, videos and tags - the system will rank you on first page within 24 hours and you will start getting organic sales. Provide your account is in the GREEN of course. This is from my own experience thus far.

I don't know if this will work out, but try it.

Find someone to send you an invoice and you transfer. But I'm afraid nobody will be willing to do that because the fund is meager(relatively speaking).

Yea, I understand the importance of optimization but stop doing that when there's no need for it. Anytime you tamper with keywords, you lose your current position for a while. 12 sales in 4 months, that's an average 3 sales monthly. Things can get better. Since you don't have much review yet, you can't charge premium. Meanwhile, make sure you're not leaving money on the table. Don't sell yourself short.

Create more gigs (think what other services your clients need that you can deliver). Also, consider charging more with gig extras. If you are really good at what you do, never forget to ask for a tip.

Some of us were lucky to hit it fast, some of us weren't. Continue to keep your heads high. God bless

If the keywords of your gigs have fetched you great orders and deals before now, please don't tinker with them. My guess is that some of those keywords have become less popular lately. Don't worry, they'll turn green soon.

Ignore my advice if they don't begin to improve after 1-2 weeks.
