Kanu To Attend Wenger’s Last Home Game As Arsenal Manager
May 1, 2018

Nigeria legend, Nwankwo Kanu, is among former Arsenal players that will attend Arsene Wenger’s last Premier League home game in charge of the Gunners against Burnley on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The North London club, according to a report on British website, Daily Mail, have written to all their former players who have made 100-plus league appearances
for the club to grace the game at the Emirates Stadium.

Kanu, who joined Arsenal from Inter Milan in 1999 made 119 league appearances for the club and hit the back of the net 37 times.

He spent five years at the club before linking up with another Premier League side, West Bromwich Albion.

The likes of Sol Campbell, Thierry Henry, Tony Adams, Bob Wilson, Frank McLintock and other legends are also expected at the match.

Arsenal will use the fixture as a key element of their celebrations to commemorate the Frenchman’s 22 years in charge.

Wenger recently announced he will quit Arsenal at the end of the season. The Frenchman won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups with the club.

Oliseh Officially Announces End Of Fortuna Sittard Contract
May 1, 2018

Former Super Eagles captain and head coach Sunday Oliseh has announced that his contract with newly promoted Dutch Eredivisie club Fortuna Sittard as chief coach has come to an end, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Oliseh was appointed the Fortuna Sittard coach in December 2016 when they were struggling in the Dutch second-tier. He saved them from relegation to the third division last season and then got them into the promotion play-offs before falling out with the management.

He was suspended allegedly for insubordination and was suspended. The former Ajax and Juventus midfielder’s case with Fortuna Sittard had to be resolved through arbitration.

“Today 1st Of May 2018 officially ends my contract with Fortuna Sittard as Chief Coach. A big thank you to all who helped make this past 17 months a phenomenal success, especially Gino Facenna,Alex Voigt,my players, people of Sittard and all well wishers. Stay blessed,” Oliseh tweeted on Tuesday.

Oliseh also set a new record as the first coach to ever win eight consecutive home games in the history of Fortuna Sittard and was also the first coach ever in the club’s history to win seven consecutive games.
He congratulated Fortuna Sittard last week on their promotion to the Dutch top flight.

Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong returned to action for Bursaspor who defeated Konyaspor 2-1 in a Turkish Super Lig clash at the Bursa Buyuksehir Belediye Stadium on Monday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

I’m not the only one who have argued this in the past. If his performance as AM in Arsenal’s last game did not convince u, nothing ever will.

How many times have you seen him perform with such magnitude? Do you know he could give almost the opposite of that performance in the next game. That's Iwobi for you.

Iwobi is inconsistent, that is the issue. Why not Let's see more of it before we can give it to him.

I hope Rohr is watching Uzoho's games. If he is, he would know that it is a little too early for the boy.

Still too many rough edges....

Hmmm coming from an experienced keeper. Who do you then recommend we turn to, Jelly fish Akpeyi, unserious Ezenwa or perhaps Aiyenugba should be given a look in. I don't know why Rohrs interviewers have not asked him about Aiyenugba.

Liverpool Loanee Awoniyi Keep Interested Teams Waiting For Him As His Wedding Draws Near

On loan Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi is currently not in talks with teams interested in his services as he is focused on his wedding plans as the date draws near.
Awoniyi will tie the marital knot in June according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com, and that for now happens to be his many focus and not a new club.
The 19 year old has emerged as a shock target for several teams around Europe after a stellar season on loan at Belgium side Mouscron where he has scored ten goals in all competitions this season.
Liverpool are keen on sending him on loan to a team playing in the Europa League to ease their chances of getting him a work permit using other means aside the national team appearance which is the first requirement.
Presently out injured for the rest of the season. Aside his rehabilitation which is going on well, he has been very busy coordinating plans for his weeding which will come up in June in Nigeria.

Moses Simon Coy On Allegations Of His Ex Agent Tarnishing His Image Via The Press

Moses Simon with Mowiz

Gent of Belgium forward Moses Simon who has been a victim of negative press the past few months has refused to confirm or deny reports that his ex agent Tony Harris is behind the issue.

Since parting ways with his long term agent Tony Harris for D-W Sports Management Company, Simon has been targeted by a notorious Nigerian website ran by a blogger Ifeanyi Abanum who is famous when it comes to making false claims and accusations against Nigerian players.

The attacks spread to his long term mentor and close associate Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman of Liberty Radio Kaduna, who knew the forward while he was growing up and still stays close to him despite his fame.
Based on the recent bad press, he was asked about the incident by the media in Belgium following suggestions that his former agent could be behind the mess surrounding a fictitious non existing story about the player been older than his original age.

”I honestly don’t care who is behind it. I won’t say my former agent is behind it, but then you never know what to expect from people at times. It’s none of my business really “, Simon said.

“Most times when I read the stories I laugh out loud. Funny enough the person (Mohammed Suleiman) I usually rely on for advice is now suffering from what he knows nothing about . We laughed over the allegations that he is behind the mess. That’s so untrue”, he concluded.

Money is good in marriage but it is not the only ingredient.

The thing with marrying this early is a good number of the men would later want to remarry.

I wish Taiwo Awoniyi a happy married life in advance.
