jakeporeshenko: This is very wrong. The only thing that matters is operational reliability. How long and how many times can it go on a mission, come back, again and come back . A this for minimal maintenance and lower cost over the life cycle. These are the important things. A UAV might be capable and break down 95% of the time or is difficult to operate or drops signal many times and becomes hard to control, this won't be acceptable. We lost CH3 UAV once and many could not be operated. Has China solved the problems with CH5? |

SternProphet:Even the most advanced systems fail, could also have been due to human error, Egypt, Pakistan UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and countless other countries now operate UCAV from the CH family of drones and not the YAhbon despite the fact it originates from that region, that doesn’t mean anything to you ? Is that not enough to prove it’s capable ? |
Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by bidex111: 8:23am On May 02, 2018 |
SternProphet: I totally disagree with you on these two twins that most of the CH3 could not be operated and we lost one of them. I disagree with the fact that many of our CH3 UAV his non-operational. We lost a CH3 at the height of BHT heat and at that time we just got them. Our UAV pilots where not properly trained and its a new hardware in our inventory; bokoharam had an upper hand at that time in bringing one down. Secondly drones are high tech hardware, even the most advanced drones fail during operations , we've seen that in Iran, Syria and Iraq etc... Even the Saudi Arabia was given license to produce the CH series was in 2017. |

bidex111: DO 128 should be retired or in storage now. Some DO 228 are operational. Nigeria should revamp all DO 228, the Germans might even do it for free |
