This doesn't really sound good. I thought i heard things are now pretty fast. By now, you should have gotten a final decision. let's hope for the best, maybe after sometime, you may need to ask them what's going on. Pele. Martswoll: |

harde116: Returning from Canada would help. It’s best to take a medical examination when you are called if you feel there is ample time for your resumption. Upfront medicals is for those who feel they might be out of time for resumption. It’s best to wait for medical call so you do not incur unnecessary expenses should God forbid you are not granted and you have already gone ahead and taken medicals. Each application stands on its merit, not whether you have taken medicals and passed already. Best wishes!! 1 Like |

There's no definite answer for this. Advantages of online are as follows: 1. U can submit from the comfort of ur home 2. If u do not have much docs to submit, online is best for dt. U don't need to sit nd wait on the queue to submit ur application. Disadvantages 1. It's more expensive than paper route 2. No guidance from anybody if u are submitting a wrong doc or not. 3. U will still need to wait for a biometrics invite after days of submitting ur application 4.U will also still go to the VFS to do the biometrics. Advantages of paper route 1. It's way cheaper than Online route 2. U will be guided at the VFS center at the point of submitting if u r submitting wrong documents or not 3. u get to do ur biometrics same day u submit(u will need to go early to achieve dis tho). 4.If u hav much documents to submit, paper route is d way. Disadvantage. 1. The major disadvantage is dt u will have to go to Lekki to submit,no matter where u live. Dis not a disadvantage to me tho.. 2. You will need to wait for ur number before u can submit. So d Choice is yours. Good luck charlyduru: 4 Likes |

To the best of my knowledge, Proving ties to home country requires you to prove you are financially and emotionally invested in your home country. Financial ties can be shown through any investment in physical property in your name or parent's name (you as a beneficiary). Emotional investment can be shown through family living there, relationships with people you are leaving behind, etc. A business in your name and as well employment in your home country can also be used to prove ties. charlyduru: 2 Likes |

jnyuwa02: You are on point Jnyuwa02. This has been my mindset from day 1. Even though we pursue our goals and dreams steadfastly, God's will is paramount in our lives. Meanwhile, I submitted my study permit application today at Abuja VAC. After much running up and down to gather my docs. Whew!! I was sent back twice for not filling my Form IMM 1294 correctly. Tips for Applicants: Input your name and place of birth details exactly as it is in your intl passport. No modifications. I read this on the website but forgot and added the state of my place of birth which isn't on my passport. Also, when filling employment details, make sure you leave absolutely no gaps in dates of employment on the app form. They want to know everything you've been up to in the last 10 years. So, if you've been unemployed for any number of years, put it there. The dates on that section must tally back to back. Also, make 4 copies of your intl passport data page and 2 photocopies of the bar-code page after IMM 1294 form validation. Photocopies not printouts. Goodluck to everyone who has applied and is waiting. As for me, after reading the threads here, I felt so discouraged because I could be disqualified on so many levels, but I have done my best by submitting an honest application and my trust and hope is in God, 110%. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Hi @edosunday1, I am a sister not a brother. I only just helped with my two cents. I am not sure I am in a position to extend any expert advice. The reason is that I have not submitted my application myself. I probably may be in a better position to advice more when i have applied and gotten my study permit which i am presently working achieving by the Grace of the almighty God . There are more seniors and experts in this group that can help. Feel free to reach out to them. goingforward. |
