To drive either uber / taxify is not by force or choice.. To work self is not by force, their are others ways to make money... begging on the street, cooperate job, civil servants, ashewo job both male and female job now, stealing etc etc... the choice is yours .. Someone of u people even given a million $ , you would not know what to do with it other than born children have girlfriends part and do big man all over the place... if life gives you u lemon ,try and make lemonade out of it ...
I keep saying uber is great till u have ur own car.. But to get to that stage u have to put in work and hustle. Some of u drivers were given great opportunity to get urself a car and blew it.. Can't blame anybody buy urself o
Off point bro, you’re saying something entirely different from what he said, you probably didn’t read the part he said he drives his own car. You done smoke that thing again. cry cry cry cry cry

Oga dru, please dont mind them. i understand your point. These uber and taxify thing is just a means to an end for me, except you have your own car.

Yes uber collects 25%, which can be annoying sometimes, but its not like you're going to do it forever.

Lets stop these complaining and Use it to get to the next step of life.

Some people are using it to get their own car (HP) so they can move to the next phase of life. maybe get married or something.

Some others have nice ideas, but no capital, they're using it to raise capital to power their business. Once they power their business, they drop their partner's car and buy theirs and move to the next stage.

Yes, its not easy, but its attainable. If you work hard and make 20k weekly for yourself after everything, that's 80k in a month.

Thats good money mehnn, considering the situation of the country.

I think we should quit complaining and get to work. Uber doesn't owe us anything. they dont force us to drive with them.

I had people complain about Balogun market and I always see surge there, so today after dropping a lady there, see requests everywhere, I forgot to put off my taxify. That market is simply a maze, where you have to meander your way through sellers, one way routes, Lastma, Police and other uniformed men, at the end of the day I was so so confused and found myself driving towards apapa and round and round ijora, before finally finding my way back to marina road. Next time I ever go there, na to find my way out ASAP. I was nearly caught making calls.
You need to know that Marina-broad street-Nnamdi Azikiwe street stretch very well before you can make a legal and successful pick up there. If not, .... CBD yard will be your portion.

That car has not been tested by many (as far as I know). But you can be the one to show us how good it is. Just try and see. If it passes the test, you have given us one more car model to consider.

Leaving the trash to lawma.

I have my car I drive
I don't deliver but to myself.

I love being truthful in every debate.
I see the plight of the drivers
I wish them long life

If u feel uber is great go and drive and see

My point remains 25% is much considering our poor state of roads. Thank God there are competitors.

Soon it will tell on them.

I have to say this freely.. I welcome the condition that you have posted. Especially the security deposit, I was saying to myself if uber had done this or encourage it one way or another at the first beginning of their operations in Nigeria... it could have set the narrative... I strongly support the idea of a security deposit fully o.. Am debating to start doing it starting from new tokunbo
cars hence forth ... but 30k to 35k deposit might be too much , that is were am stuck now on.. I don't think a lot of drivers will be able to afford it.. I figure maybe you should ask the driver the amount they can afford to put down.. Some might say nothing, others might say 5k... but for certain most can't afford that's.. 15k to 20k should be OK... once the starting owning their rental to the amount of their security deposit, just collect the car from them.. Once they are ready to drive again ask for another deposit.. It is better for the car to sit than for the car to working and the driver is owning huge amount... At least nobody wants to get F**ked , but if I am going to get F*@ked , I don't want to get F*@ked twice...

Why don't you give it out at 30k which is achievable
so that the driver can make more money for himself and also maintain your car. I am a fresh graduate, I drive my own car here in Abuja and I know more about the business
