For me, i was taught how to push, how to bathe baby, still on still, couldn't bathe my baby till he was 3weeks. As per pushing, the first time i did, the nurse said i was just playing , someone had to lift my shoulder up.

So long as u see your doctor and you are certified to be ok, then no ish. Just that antenatal will give u the opportunity to share ideas and ask questions.

Personally, i never liked antenatal classes. I just wanted to do my scan, do tests and go home.

You have to make time o, YouTube ain't the real deal. Especially now that you're almost due, you need to be with fellow preggos and rub minds.
1. Bathing a newborn isn't difficult, just technical. You just need to know how to do it thoroughly but quickly so your baby doesn't catch cold. I dunno if they teach that in your antenatal o, but they do here esp govt hospitals.
2. My dear, trust me when it's time to push, nobody will tell you how to do it. Na DH hand suffer am that time, dude was just confused and sorry for me.

Basically, they teach baby related stuffs and we do exercises and sing and dance. Tho, some of us go there to sleep and escape work ... my Oga must not hear this!

Since the beginning of my pregnancy till date, the only water I can take is cold water very chilled I can't take any other water even when the weather is very cold. I don't think there is any side effect cos my baby is so hyper active and always kicking.

i am heartbroken. i gave birth to a baby boy thursday lastweek and lost him on saturday morning. i had prolonged labour. i was in labour for close to 48hours. for the first 24hrs, i was dieing in pain, yet nurses will check me and say am just 2cm dilated. It was when they decided to section me that i finally gave birth, inside theatre room. my baby came out and did not cry, was very weak. they supported him with oxygen only for him to die after 2days. since then hv been in pain. pain that i lost my child, and vagina tear they gave me. please pray for me am finding it difficult to move on. pray for God to bless me with twins and wipe my tears.

Mamas pls help my situation. I don't seem to understand.

I'm 36weeks+ and observed yesterday that when i walk, it seems like my tummy has dropped. All through yesterday, baby didn't move around so much, seemed like he was stuck but could still feel his kicks but inwards. Tummy was also hard all through so i thought baby had engaged or something.
Today he has changed position cos some places hard yesterday are now partly soft. Movement is not so much, although active. My stomach still looks downwards when I walk.

Can anyone help explain what I'm experiencing. I thought engagement meant baby won't move around much but kicks should still be felt. Google not helping or maybe I don't know the keyword to search for.

Any mamas experienced this before or can help me understand.

Hahahahaha.. No make me choke on my food biko. Mine is a place where they sell roasted plantain, soft beans and grilled fish. Even if am not going to stay at the shop for long,i am always armed with food flask to buy and take home . It's so filling.. I don't eat so much during d day after eating that. Abeg, can i drink cold water? My grandmother said I should stop taking cold water.. Pls does it have any harmful effect in pregnancy?

Things we do in pregnancy
As for the cold water, I drank o, even when they all said I shouldn't. This my pregnancy came with internal heat so I had no option than to drink it. I only stopped this week because am almost due and mumcy them is claiming baby wont come if I continue.

Been having this itching on my labia, did detol and hot water and sat on it for some time, have been using tribotan and mycoten cream but this itching no be hear oo, I have been to the hospital the doc asked me to continue with the detol preferable Savlon, but the itching is just too much, any preggy mama in my shoes how did u conquer this

If you can get ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar), you can put some in water and use to rinse anytime you use the loo. Also try not to wear pants all night.
Wash all your pants with dettol too.

Pls this question is for mamas dat have done CS b4....had my DS through CS 2016 with regional anaesthesia,It was so difficult for them to get the spot to inject,so I was injected up to 20 times or more.
Pls mamas thinking of going for general anaesthesia this time.Do you think it's better than the regional ?Just thinking I should be put to sleep so I won't experience the torture I experienced last time.

Your abdomen dropping means your baby has engaged actually.......
But reduced fetal movement is always a cause for alarm......
Pls visit your doctor ASAP.....
