Let's look at specs

Now to the main the main

Processor - performance -
The xiaomi comes preloaded with a Snapdragon 636 processor and a mali sorry Adreno 509 GPU. while the other a MediaTek MT6763 (Helio P23) and a Mali-G71 MP2 Graphics processor.
Lets break this down a little.

As of now, there isn't really any site comparing the side by side intricate detail. So ill belittle the 636processor and compare it with the P23 processor.

Here's the link for futher comparisons
https://versus.com/en/mediatek-helio-p20-vs-qualcomm-snapdragon-636
I'm sure you have a winner already right? Note that the the P20 doesn't support Big.Little technology but P23 does. Note that I compared the P20 against the 636 and it won meamwhile comparing the P23 against P20, the P23 over dust am lipsrsealed.
Its also noteworthy to know that P23 chip has the World’s First Dual SIM, Dual 4G VoLTE/ViLTE Support

Hi. I believe you've been misled by the versus site, because the Snapdragon 636 is way better than the Helio P23; heck, the Snapdragon 625 is even marginally better than the Helio P23.
First off, the Snapdragon 636 comprises the equivalent of cortex A73 cores. The A73 cores are more powerful than the cortex A53 cores residing in the Helio P23. The versus site erroneously reports that the Snapdragon 636 contains only A53 cores.
Secondly, even though the Helio CPU has a higher clock speed, it still can't beat the Snapdragon 636. It's like comparing a 3GHz Pentium CPU to a 1.8GHz core i3 CPU, the core i3 will defeat the Pentium every time.
Finally, here's a link from notebookcheck comparing the Helio P23 with the Snapdragon 625, and the Snapdragon 626 (which are both inferior to the Snapdragon 636).

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Helio-P23-MT6763T-vs-626-vs-625_9510_9196_8168.247596.0.html

Mediatek's direct competitor to the Snapdragon 636 is the Helio P60.

The truth is, shipping time is mostly determined by the Logistics company, so expect irregular time frame for goods to be delivered. They all have their trying times. Singapore post had their downtime, but is fast now, an item I ordered on the 25th of April, landed Nigeria yesterday. Another item I ordered from Gearbest via PostN took over a month to arrive this week. I know with time, delivery time will improve, it's like seasons.

. It uses Kyro 260 cores. The Kryo 260 uses a combination of four 64-bit ARM semi-custom Cortex-A73 'performance' cores clocked at 2.2GHz and four Cortex-A53 'efficiency' cores clocked at 1.7GHz.

The one on P23 is 2.2Ghz octa Cortex A53. Btw, the P23 trumps the 626 qualcomm

I dunno what you mean by the S625 being better than P23.
625 8 A-53 cores capped at 2Ghz and DDR3L-1866.
P23 8 A-53 cores capped at 2.3Ghz and 2.5Ghz for single core and LPDDR3 . Hope you know LP is better than DD memory?

Tests, and benchmarks don't lie. Please check the link I provided. Specifications are just that, specifications. From the link I provided, both the S625 and S626 performed better than the Helio P23 in almost all the benchmarks.

Just add the Zero and resend, guess its the new bug in town for owners of Redmi note 5A/5A prime especially, though a user around me is not facing this currently. Which network are you using?

Used to have same issues on my RN4. There're 2 workaround it.

1) Simply restore your phone contacts by adding international dialing code +234 before your contacts.

2) Go to your contact each time you want to send sms, click on the sms dialog in front of the contact no & proceed to type your sms & send.

Cheers

Trying time? The only saving grace for SingaporePost is Aliexpress? They make sure almost every buyer use alistandard shipping which is going from bad to worst this days...

Go to their twitter handle and see so many complaints cool

I now negotiate my shipping co with the seller before going ahead with my purchase oo...

Now moving to GPU.
Adreno 509 vs mali G71. Adreno 509 is just a slight upgrade(if there is at all) to the GPU found on RN4X which is adreno 506.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/7065968_screenshotchrome20180504181800_jpeg2b29a0b8f723a7e82b943f58d10dd9d1

Here's a link for more proof

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Adreno-506-vs-Adreno-509_7443_8782.247598.0.html
!!
Why I'm stating this is because I'll be comparing the GPU on CamonX pro against that of RN4X which is almost same with RN5 pro.
"Adreno 506 in Snapdragon 450, 625, 626 chipsets will give you between 120–130 GFLOPS depending on the clocking. The Mali-G71 MP2 in Mediatek MT6753, Helio P23 and Helio P30 chipsets will give you between 52–65 GFLOPS depending on the clocking. Since a better GPU will have higher GFLOPS, the Adreno 506 is the better one in this case. BTW, these are GPUs, not CPUs."
Culled from Quora and verified by me grin.

So the Redmi note5 pro wins in the GPU department which is more important to me wink.

Now why the need for all this long gibberish talk and yarning
Some folks here claim to know, (some, if not most) and like to dish anything tecno or infinix asides. I dunno if they use the tecno yardstick
Of 2012 to that of now. Some use No. of sales grin

Last last, no be say i too know but lets not over relate tecno or the like to trash.
The camon is around 77k. While redmi almost 100k.
So...

You've done an amazing job in this comparison.

I'd like to just add that Redmi would always offer best value for specs, it's MIUI that makes everything somewhat unenjoyable.MIUI can have some very crazy bugs that would have you questioning the essence of the 'smart' in smartphone. I personally prefer HiOS 100 times better.

TECNO on the other hand is marketing the Camon series for camera freaks. It's worth noting that Xiaomi don't try too hard with camera on the Redmi series so you may get very grainy indoor snapchat/IG stories without a doubt.

Both have excellent battery life but somehow i think Redmi would outshine the Camon based on the Redmi Note 4X that i still use(I am probably wrong)

Lastly, TECNO design finish work especially coz of that shiny logo at the back (I use the Camon X Pro, check my profile for review, can't post link abeg) but people seeing Note 5 Pro in your hands would think it's a cheap iPhone X knockoff. No worry na dem sabi. Na you get am, you sabi wetin you hold for hand
