Flakka is the Drug that scares me the most. Refered to as "the gateway to demonic possession", addicts behave in a scary manner that other drugs dont cause. They say the flakka epidemic makes the crack/coke epidemic look like beans. 3 Likes |

GdexFolami: For a start, to be a drug addict you need to a drug to be addicted to. Banning basic pain medication just means that in a country with woefully inadequate healthcare provision, millions more will be denied pain-relief. 1 Like |

Tramadol! That drug is a poison and a slow killer Both Codeine and tramadol ain't good but Codeine is preferable The rate at which Nigerian youths consume these drugs I wonder if some will not be using walking stick at age 40. 3 Likes 1 Share |

shammahyaro:The root of Nigeria's problem. In Europe, North America and Asia, people save themselves - in Nigeria, they've spent 60 years praying for God to save them whilst going backwards. 1 Like |

Proliferation of Abuse of Drugs is rooted in lost of Faith, Hope and Direction in Life. We are great in treating symptoms. When the youthful population are meaningfully engaged in activities, they will not be distracted. I tend to agree with Buhari that the Youths are lazy. Reading culture is totally gone. People do not read to occupy themselves but the little money they have they waste on alcohol and sex and continue to be a burden on others. The drugs epidemic is, from what I am reading here is so bad. 1 Like |

They cannot continue banning drugs like this and while there is a non addictive substitute for cough syrup there are no non addictive substitutes for pain killers like tramadol that is why they are heavily regulated in developed countries pure heroine is even used as a pain killer for very painful injuries but alas in Nigeria it would be very difficult to regulate most of these as the government does not have the infrastructure to regulate even most of the hospitals and corruption makes it near impossible to regulate the few that they can *if the government wants to help they should start by tracking the flow of these drugs from their production/importation to their sale in pharmacies and use maybe even make it that only registered hospitals can buy them or give those hospitals special government issued papers to give to patients who want to go to the pharmacy to buy it and periodically run checks and balances on the drug number in random pharmacies and making sure to get to all* 1 Like |
