parissaint:Jesus Christ said of those who are citizens of the Kingdom of God — those who are born-again(born of Water and born of Spirit) — that they are possessed —Eternally— by the Spirit of Eternal Life and that Spirit of Eternal Life is the same Eternal Life that is of God. He is there 24/7 and as Jesus Christ went on to explain in John 3 vs 8 those who are born of Spirit are aware of His everlasting presence — He does not go away and they come back or anything of that nonsense that your gods of men like to pretend. Now, of course, the Spirit of Eternal Life is not the Holy Spirit — the "another Helper" —that Jesus Christ said the Father would give to those who belong to Him - John 8 vs 31 - 44 & John 14 vs 15 - 27 & John 15 vs 26 - 27 & John 16 vs 4 - 16. The Holy Spirit of God's New Covenant, Jesus Christ is the Spirit of Truth, and as Jesus Christ said in His Gospel, He is available only those those who know the Truth and are set free from slavery to sin by the Truth of God. |

Kobojunkie:The Spirit of God fills an individual and possess. Possessions come from demons taking over the well-being of an individual. |
Re: Difference Between The Holy Spirit And The Presence Of God by Kobojunkie: 9:19pm On Feb 24 |
Bruno3000:What you said is not true at all given that Jesus Christ exactly described the process as a possession. 5 Jesus answered, “Believe me when I say that everyone must be born from water and the Spirit. Anyone who is not born from water and the Spirit cannot enter God’s kingdom. The Spirit that possesses those who are born of Spirits cannot be controlled by them. Those born of Spirit are aware of His presence, an eternal presence, but they can't decipher His ways and His plans for them, nor manipulate Him by their will. |

Beautifulday:1. Correction, I am not a pastor, so please don't confuse me with one of your religious gods of men whose stock of trade is the spinning of lies. Lies with which they control and arrest your minds, sing the name of the God of Israel or Jesus Christ whom He sent only to the Lost sheep of Israel. 2. There are no prophets in the Kingdom of God. According to Scripture, Prophets were chosen and sent by the God of Israel only to those of Israel in the Land of Canaan as part of His Old Law of Moses. However, the same God of Israel announced that by the close of His Judgement against the Nation of Israel(and Judah) in the Land of Canaan under His Old Law of Moses, He would put a seal on Prophets and visions - Daniel 9 vs 24 - 27, this after He had first poured out His Spirit on every man and woman in the land - Joel 2 vs 28 - 30. Recall that even Jesus Christ informed you by way of His Gospel that John the Baptist was the Last of the Prophets sent from God to His people, Israel. God of Israel(YHWH) ceased the making of prophets and visions after the last days ended almost 1900 years ago. 3. Jesus Christ said to you in John 3 vs 1 - 8 that no man is born from His mother's womb with a Spirit. Not a single person comes into this world with a spirit of his own — man is not spiritual from his creation. Rather, it is only those who are born of spirit that are said to acquire a spirit aspect of their being in this life. And as He explained, that spirit wields power over those he rules over. |

Kobojunkie: And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 1 Corinthians 14:32 |
Re: Difference Between The Holy Spirit And The Presence Of God by Kobojunkie: 11:05pm On Feb 24 |
Beautifulday:Again, the spirit of prophets was decreed by God of Israel(YHWH) of His Old Law of Moses. God of Israel closed out His period of prophets and visions at the close of the Last Days of His Judgement against Israel(and Judah) under His Old Law of Moses about 1900 years ago. The spirit of prophets was not of the Kingdom of God but of the Old Law of Moses. And as such what Jesus Christ said of those who are born-again — born of the Spirit in John 3 vs 8 — did not apply to them. Born-agains are not prophets at all. They are just people who have been given citizenship in the Kingdom of God. Prophets and the spirit of Prophets described in the text you posted, were instead of the Old Law of Moses, and that was sealed off from men about 1900 years ago. |

Kobojunkie: Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Roman 12:6 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 1 corn 12 : 10 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 1 corn 13:2 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 1 Tim 4:14 |

Beautifulday:The only gifts Jesus Christ gave to His followers who are of the Kingdom of God are outlined in Mark 16 vs 17 - 18 and Matthew 10 vs 5 - 10. 17 And the people who believe will be able to do these things as proof: They will use my name to force demons out of people. They will speak in languages they never learned.Rather, Paul's list seems to combine both the gifts poured out by the Spirit from the Old Covenant decree in Joel 2 vs 28 - 31 with that decreed by Jesus Christ to be of His New Covenant alone in Mark 16 vs 17 - 18. And he, Paul, insists that it is the very Spirit that controls all the various gifts — those specific to the Old Law and those specific to the New Law. 28 “After this, I will pour out my Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy**, your old men will have dreams**, and your young men will see visions.****These set of abilities are unique to the Old Law of Moses - Numbers 12 vs 1 - 6 - and are not available through Jesus Christ to any of His followers. |

Beautifulday:Paul never in fact said the holy Spirit made him write what he did in his letters. Rather, Paul wrote of how many of what he wrote from drawn from a pool of his opinions. And last I checked, opinions are not meant to be declared God's Truth. |

Kobojunkie: Wahala 😹 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost 2 Peter 1:21 |
Re: Difference Between The Holy Spirit And The Presence Of God by Kobojunkie: 6:45pm On Feb 26 |
Beautifulday:1. First things first, at the time Paul wrote those words to Timothy, his letters were not considered Scripture...even he, Paul, never asserted that his words match up to or should be considered Scripture. Second, to say that Scripture is inspired DOES NOT mean Scripture is the Word of God neither does it mean Scripture is true. After all Scripture also contains the lies of Satan, and men, among other things. Rather, it means that Scripture exists within the scope ruled over by God Himself after all knowledge of good and all knowledge of evil belongs to God. 2. As for Peter's statement, prophet as he made clear there where of the Old Times -- the Old Covenant -- and not the New Covenant, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ made known in His Gospel that John the Baptist was the last of the prophets of Old sent by God --- no other man after John was sent as a prophet. Peter was not a prophet sent from the God of Israel neither was Paul a prophet of God of Israel. And Jesus Christ never promised to send prophets to any man in His New Covenant, so as Peter said, that statement applies as far as the prophets of Old and no others. In closing, Paul himself wrote that many of what he wrote in his letters were of his opinion. Why you seek desperately to elevate those opinions to godhood is what you need to deal with for yourself. But note that what you do is make a liar of Paul in your attempt to deify him. |
