[quote author=Meeeeey post=67397791]Pls mamas help me. This breastfeeding issue is eating me up.

My D's of 11 days is eating more formula than breastmilk. I planned EBF but I'm not lactating enough embarassed :-

I have drank tea, pap, oats(saw improvement with this) and even taken lactating cookies but no much milk.

Sorry for the long post
Pls help a worried FTM

Try to stop worrying, use that energy to rest, lie with baby if you can't sleep during the day, perk up proteins and fluids(nutritionally).
Try a glass of milk or chocolate as you breastfeed.
Don't be quick to give baby the formula.especially with bottles as it confuses them.
However,EBF doesn't work for everyone.
The most important thing is a healthy child.
Good luck.

It is free in Lagos general hospitals or you can try private hospitals such as Rjolad, Gbagada, Kupa Hospital, Ajao Estate.it should be between 7000-9000naira.

It's not free in general hospitals except one that's at shomolu (check previous pages). The actual truth is that the vaccine is an expensive one and the government haven't started sponsoring it. Some private hospitals collect more than 9k sef for each dose. The hospital my son took both vaccines is a military hospital which I can say it's not a private hospital and we paid 9,500k for each dose summing it to 19k for both doses.

I also need this information. The last time I went to UUTH for 12months immunization, the nurse told me they only give vitamin A cos they don't have those diseases down here and asked that I go to pharmacy to buy if I really want to. Eventually got the shot at Ibadan when I travelled. I'm surprised that the whole teaching hospital that should be models to others could say that. UCH in Ibadan will encourage you to get every vaccine possible.... Even when you have to pay.

The vaccines given by teaching hospitals are given to them free by NGOs like UNICEF, USAID etc. All the ones they don't give is because they are expensive and they cannot/will not buy. They have now added jara to their bad behaviour by telling people the additional vaccines are a waste of money, instead of advising people appropriately

GlamMrsO , does it hurt?No, It doesn't
You must have resumed sexual pleasure, does it hurt still? Once in a while if I'm not wet enough
If it doesn't and you are sure through a mirror thorough vagina inspection that there is no hole there, please embrace your package, it might stop with time.
I really hope it does

Myself I had a very terrible tear when I had my son, till today @11months, I sometimes pass gas through my V especially when am lying down Sha.
It is well! Thanks ma'am, regards to zizi!

You're not alone ma'am
It happens to me sometimes too

From what I gathered here, sitting on a hard surface immediately after VD with tear prevents it I didn't do it religiously o

Don't know how it can be corrected now... I'll like to know if there's anything we can do If I find one I will let you know, Thanks ma'am, regards to the little one

Imagine that. 30k for 2 shots is very pricey. Do you think i can take the vaccine much later?

Good. Ojuelegba is quite close to Ambode health centre at somolu where you can get it for free. I think its on Tuesdays.

Use uber/taxify if you're not going with a personal ride for comfort and ease.

its not too late to get it at 8wks. If possible after getting the first dose, stay for another 4wks in lagos to get the second dose.

don't mind them teaching hospitals and PHCs. its just so people can believe they offer free health worever.

The annoying part Is the manner the nurses say its not compulsory like 'if you want to waste your money, you can go and get it'.

One would have expected them to stock it and then at least sell at company price or very low margin.

on another thought sef, most of them cant beat their chest about their cold storage facilities.

Try drinking warm water religiously. It helps to reduce it cos mine was worse when I went on a cold water spree.

@13k that's very fair o. That's the lowest I've heard about sef.
Do you mind sharing the name and area of the hospital?
Thanks

It's from one of the nurses that gives immunization at Amuwo- Odofin LG health center. She buys the vaccines and gives it to the baby there. I have used her several times sha, was just hoping there's a place they give it free since some of the expensive ones they give free in some health centres are not given there at all.

Uw sis. Rotavaccine 1 is taken 6 or 7 wks @ most while rotavaccine 2 is taken 8 or 9 wks @ most (based on my knowledge tho). I dunno how far shomolu is to ojuelegba.
P.S: I am not sure if general hospitals even have the rotavaccine (even if it's not free). To be on the safer side other mamas will tell or direct you to where you can get the vaccine.
