Saraki was referring to a court pronouncement which says National assembly has power to summon IG, but same court made pronouncements at different times that national assembly has no power to suspend a senator. Saraki and his Co rookies are not going to equity with clean hands.

If the 8th Senate can not have the courage to launch an impeachment process against Idris boss who feels, Nigerians are fools to have him as president, I doubt what again they will offer to demonstrate their resolve to correct the wrongs of this presidency.
I want all Nigerians to join voice in condemning this nonchalant attitude from the IGP.
The national assembly is sacred and more so, symbol of our democracy which must be respected!

I suggest that the national assembly amend the law that created the offices of the service chiefs and remove the appointment of service chiefs from the hand of the executive (the president ) and do appointment themselves by majority vote on the floor of the house. I think that will curtail all these executive excesses and abuse of power and intimidation.

So they can take over a constitutionally guaranteed and traditional function of the executive, in addition to their own that are already keeping their hands full, and over which they serially falter? Or is it so they can get to appoint into executive positions only persons they can cow? Lol.

Why would anyone think the NASS would not abuse such additional powers in turn? They might as well amend the Constitution to put all executive positions under the NASS!

In those affected area by herdsmen don't we have member house of representatives and senates there ?
