Fine result, may not be sustainable though going by Q1.

What's your fair price biko, mine is around 200% discount

cc:Mcy56 (Insurance food don land grin)

It is sustainable actually.

Linkage Assurance owns almost 12% of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers which makes up the bulk of it's value.

Stanbic Pension Manager's will pay Linkage N2.5186 bn as dividend for 2017 which will reflect in the 2018 results. Stanbic is the market leader in the Pension Administration space and any body that buys linkage is indiirectly buying Stanbic Pension Manager's at a discount.

Yes, you are correct Sir. But it now depends on what the the management now decides to do with the largesse from the dividend income received from its investment in StanbicIbtc Pension Managers. Watch out if they are spending it on acquisition of motor vehicles for the management , payment of bogus salaries and bonuses etc. Bayelsa Government has too much stakes in the Company. the day they finish chopping the coy finish the directors will just transfer 12% holdings in Stanbic Ibtc Pension Mnaagers to themselves.

They put the dividend received in 2017 into Tbills buying N3bn worth of Tbills which falls under other financial assets.

They also have a listed equity portfolio of N4bn while the Pension manager stake is worth 11bn.
From all indications they did not waste the funds and they have the fire power to make some strategic investments for example, the dividend they receive in 1 year can buy a 5% stake in a tier two bank.

Please note that besides the dividend from Stanbic, the value of the linkage increases as the value of Stanbic PM increases.

Not a matter of badt guy.I use a broker to buy fundamentally sound stocks(analog) and I use online platform to buy sentimental stocks without fundamental(digital). Its not even up to a year I started using the platform and I invest small money in the online while I invest heavily in the analog.I will advice one to secure his money with an old broker that has the ability to meet capitalization issues when the need arises.

Qualification date is the date for closure of register and only the names that appear in the register as at COB that date will be paid (dividend) while the markdown date is the date the dividend is deducted from the share price, usually the next working day as soon as market opens.

In the case of Fidelity: Qualification date is 11th May, 2018 and Markdown date is 14th May, 2018.

CCNN ehhhh.............it's really wanting to show it is severely undervalued.

Even at N27.03 full bid price, there is still a 50% upside before it reaches WAPCO.

As for dragging with Dangcem, never say never but for now it's unlikely.
