If they are out of top 4, then the 4th team loses out. I think it's through the Europa Cup route that a league can have 5 teams in UCL.

Also 4-4-2 limits the wingers and thats why EV benches Dembele most times when when he wants to go very conservative. So lets assume it was a stop gap measure due to the circumstances surrounding how we started the season.

Next season theres no more benefit of doubt because it'll be assumed that he has bought people that he needs and would fit into the bill.. So by then his head would be on a spike if we don't win all there is to win.

The fact that we spend so much on outside players even more than Madrid is testament to the fact that focus has shifted from homegrown players.. It's not about the golden generation, because every now and then we hear of talent in the youth team, but how many have been given real chance and performed well in the past 3 years?
