poseidon12: a variant of this is done in UK, Spain and some other parts of Europe. Home owners of alternative powers with excess, can get tax deductibles through selling their excess (excess on solar) to the grid |

Chukwuka16: Your major concern stems from your ignorance. Most of what you stated are already factored into the equation, all you needed to do is to find out how this arrangement works. You do not expect Fashola to spell out all the arrangements in a single interview while on inspection works. What "legislation" are you looking for when the law already states clearly the band that goes to the grid. "Safety nets" and "Technical Constraints" to me are just "whizzle"/vague words that tries to betray the intent. Currently players in the Solar panel business will tell you that there have been lots of power sharing arrangements, where houses in close proximity can concentrate panels in a strategic location. They then decided on what sharing arrangement they deem acceptable. Fashola is simply telling us what had already been in the law that people are not exercising. I have had of investors making overtures to estates for these arrangements. The challenge they face is the off-grid infrastructure. Someone has to pay that price and expecting the government to do so is tantamount to living in fools paradise |

horsepower101: Can we have situation where we explore rent-to-own schemes. Invest in solar power installation in homes and get them to pay a monthly rent that accumulates (with interest and premium factored) and they become owners after a specific period. This is what I think will be more enticing. Nobody wants to deal with another behemoth in "micro-Discos", we already have enough headaches. |

Fashola that letter F in your name stands for failure, you said you could provide stable power supply in six months but you have been there more than three years and power supply is even worse than before. |

ernieboy:horsepower101: :what exactly will be the source of power for these mini generation companies? definitely not gas because we don't have a widespread gas pipeline like in the western countries and diesel is too expensive, solar is also not economical at the present price level for power. How so? |

mapet:solar generation and all the associated infrastructure is still relatively expensive and at the present price per kilowatt, it will take a longer time for an investor to recoup their investment b4 considering profit |

[s] MIKOLOWISKA:[/s] Typical ignorant and unintelligent ipob rubbish. Imagine these backward, and ignorant and lazy youths trying to convince us that a major power supply company not having a website is not a bid deal. How backward and rettarded. This is why you and your kind should never be put in charge of anything, not even street cleaning duties. |
