Well, goodbye to NSE till November. Diamond Bank is the last stock I was hoping to buy and "chop" once they surprise the market with a good result and I was watching/waiting closely with my bid ready. I can't recall how my times I had to refresh that NSE page.

Well, I hope members are not heavy here.

That was a candid post sir. If he's as heavy as he said, he should take a vacation and go cool off. I have been there and I am saying what worked for me.

He still has oando and Transcorp.Hope is not lost anyway. He can recover all from these two if his investment in diamond is not 80% of his portfolio.

I have also found this a bit confusing too. Fidelity's Qualification Date is 11th of May, Closure of register is 14th-18th of May and Payment date is on the 25th. What does the Closure of register mean?

As the name implies grin

Register is closed at that time grin. Meaning that even if you qualify and the Registrars don't add your name during this 14th to 18th of May, you will not receive your dividend.

Example: if it is your first time to buy Fidelity and you bought on the qualification date (11th May), and you fill your e-dividend form and sent to the bank. You actually qualified to receive the dividends. If the bank doesn't send your form to the registrar between 14 - 18 May, they will close the register and your dividends will not be sent to your account. So your dividends will still be with them and you will need to go to their office or until the form reaches them before they process.

This result might bring panic to the whole market. No amount of Q1 result will save face here. There is a problem. A serious one.

When I saw other Tier 2, I suspected there was problem and advised we enter Tier 1 for safety.

It is still not late. Buy a mattress for storage or enter Tier 1 at a good price. GUZ

Most likely FCMB and FIDELITY may have to slow down and shift backwards as a ripple effect from diamond's woes.

Double tragedy. So sorry Loco. You will surely regain the losses somehow, somewhere (in another stock), someday. sad
I like the fact that you are consoling yourself. Just keep your hopes up.

Daily volume hasnt exceeded 10m unitsin the past 7 days.
And the trades have been going both ways.

Weak market activity is whats making it slow.

Sentiments will soon change.
