Stoke city ended their 10years stay in the english topflight-the EPL with a 1-2 victory over fellow relegated side Swansea city.

The britannian boys will seriously be missed. Their style of play characterised with long and high(police) ball couple with ruggedness will remain with the fans as memory.

During their spell in the EPL, The britannia stadium was home to two of our guys- Osaze Odemwinge and Victor Moses.

On behalf of your fans in Nigeria, we say thank you and wish you the best in the championship.

So Long Stoke.... The "leg breakers" of the EPL...

days of accommodating junks and mediocrity for personal gains are gone. rohr's new injection of players will be strictly on talents who will add quality to the team. and do we have anything to lose if any player of Nigerian descend turns us down? no one is going to beg any of them to play for us but should not be ignored just because we feel our pride is at stake cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy the CIV pursued zaha for years even when he publicly turned them down but they never gave up till it was clear to he that he isn't regarded by the english fa before he switched to his father land. who knows the likes of torunarigha, tammy, lookman and ibe may come around to realize their best shot to international football is Nigeria but if such happens should we allow our ego to deprive us of these players? like i said earlier no one is begging any of them to switch allegiance to us but the needful must be done by talking to them once in a while to know if they can recind their decisions
with the way things are going now with these aged under 20 players... we gonna rely much on these foreign born players and beg them to come play for us....

because many of the current super eagles players are way younger than this paraded under 20 guys of Paul agbogun. ..

In fact, they were the one team in the EPL that EPL fanboys ans some analysts subconsciously use very well in argument to show the "physical power" and "absolute ruggedness" of the English league... cheesy

YOU HEAR statements like...

"Messi never jam! Make him go play Stoke for Britannia stadium... Him no go see ball play! That mazy run he dey do for LA liga, Stoke and their henchman, Shawcross go scatter him tibia and fibula!!!" cheesy grin

Or...

"Madrid's Ramos and Barca's puyol dey shine for Spain abi... Make them come EPL come play Stoke... Dem go know say gra gra pass gra gra ....." cheesy

Or maybe even....

"The EPL is the toughest league in the world... Can't you see Stoke?! angry They are diehards !"

Na so. That's why Arsenal with their fanciful football always find it hard at the Britannia.

Who will ever forget Delap whose throw-in was like an indirect free-kick!

They decided to change their style of play but got relegated.

If Arsenal are the Invincibles, maybe Manchester City will go down in history as the Untouchables?

Arsenal fans will claim their 2004 Invincibles still hold that honour, having gone the whole season unbeaten, a fabulous achievement in itself.

But the fact is that the Invincibles chalked up TEN points fewer than Blues, scored 33 goals fewer and City only conceded one more.

The Blues also won an amazing SIX games more.

Arsenal's achievement is rightly lauded – but the fact is that it pales in comparison alongside what City have done this season.

Avoiding defeat is a bit Mourinho-esque, and the Gunners drew eight games that season.

City have gone out to win games, and done so in breathtaking style.

Ederson: The Cold-blooded mammal on a Blue Planet

His calmness under pressure is, in some ways, unsettling. It’s like he’s not human, like you’re not watching a footballer on Match of the Day, but some kind of cold-blooded mammal on Blue Planet. You could easily imagine that his resting heart rate is a steady three beats per minute.

The things he does with the ball are not normal, either. This is not hyperbole; last week he set a Guinness World Record for the longest goal kick in football. It was 75.35 metres. From a dead ball. At Benfica he set up a goal in a Cup final by landing a goal kick on the very edge of the opposition penalty area. A couple of times at City he has put team-mates through on goal, but they have not been able to convert. City players know he can find them from anywhere and so do the opposition; that’s why they don’t know whether to push up when the Blues have a goal kick, or drop deep and guard against the ball over the top. If you do neither, and get caught in between, you’re done for. Ederson does not just kick it far, he kicks it accurately. Against Everton at the end of March he picked out Leroy Sane in acres of space in the centre circle. City had the ball in the back of the net about seven seconds later.

And that’s just the balls off the ground. His distribution out of his hands is something else completely; the ball finds the same team-mates, travels the same distances, but in a completely different way. He can drop-kick it 60-80 yards, but it’s not unusual for the ball to never be more than five yards off the floor. His throws go almost as far.
It’s all so eye-catching.

And that’s what makes him such a compelling, unique character. He is not the first goalkeeper to come out of his area, not the first to play the ball out with pin-point accuracy. It’s the way he does it that’s different to the likes of Peter Schmeichel and Manuel Neuer.

He is a one-of-a-kind.

Super City - The Untouchables

City is the first team in English top-flight history to reach three Figures (100 points)

City set Premier League bests in terms of wins (32), away wins (16), goal difference (+79) and goals (106) and the most matches won in succession (18).

Just because that's what you think,Epl is the toughest league in the world but pep won the league with a record 100 point and 106 goals you guys aren't even ashamed, the so called leg breakers stoke chop 7-2,pep has never scored 106 goals with his Barca team a team with Messi and pep has never won laliga with 100 point,I think pep make the Epl look like farmers league.

Go and ask pep if he has ever won a match at anoeta the home of real sociedad, the last time I remember the top 5 team in England has won stoke in their stadium.

Now please prove me wrong if what I am saying is not correct.
