Let it work ooo and the internet connectivity undisrupted ooo

It must work

The technology we need in this country
I think I have a similar machine like this in my office, all it does is to save whatever thing entered and store it in the memory, nevertheless, it has a limit to the number of entries due to memory.
I don't think this machine also use the internet.
It is just a collation stuff. It takes the total number of people administered and print out the result easily.

There you go again

Can you answer these questions with facts?

1. Who purchased the electronic voting machines? Kaduna state government or INEC?

2. Was the purchase of the equipment an open tender bid? Was it advertised in the national newspaper?

3. Which company is responsible for the manufacturing and coding of the software?

Till when you answer these questions, I won't take you seriously again... Because you are just blinded with partisan politics which it's gonna consume you sooner or later...

Electronic voting is a threat to democracy in Nigeria, because the country is riddled with corruption and nepotism

Stop asking silly and irrelevant questions.

If you are concerned about procurement you have the FOI to assist you.

You say electronic voting is a threat to democracy. I'm sure you prefer the time trusted version of ballot box stuffing and snatching .

Nonsense.

It is a good development, but if there's no provision for fingerprint identification before the voting option comes on,then the machine becomes another avenue for rigging.

Outside of the little Naira in my pocket I can see £190, $25 and €10 in my wallet.

Money you would give thanksgivings for as it would be the highest figure you have ever touched in your life.

I'm not responsible for your life misfortunes.

I'm not jobless and worthless like you on a faceless forum..

Have some sense in your dead brain cells... Do not allow N30,000 monthly stipends to bury your conscience.

I won't quote you again... Because I am a productive citizen and I pay my taxes, and ain't gonna waste more time and data on an unproductive youth

Also, with the EVM printing out receipts with the name of the party voted for, it will be easy for those that will want to give money for vote.
It will just be, let me see your receipt with my party name and collect 2k.

What has CAN got to do with this ?

If you knew the first thing about tech you would not be so opinionated. In a nation where mass illiteracy reigns, someone wants to introduce electronic voting.

Who wrote the software ? Who controls the protocols ? Will the opposition be given a chance for software audit ? How do you ensure there are no overrides and backdoors ?
Can the people understand the process ? Millions of people today in Nigeria cannot operate smartphones and ATM machines without assistance; how can they be trusted to vote electronically ?
In case of dispute can the legal system accommodate technical issues that may arise ? No. Our legal system is incapable of dealing with cases that may arise.
What is the cost compared to paper ballot ?

Electronic systems place our democracy squarely in the hands of people who control the machines. They may be the incumbents, IT specialists or foreign powers.

Electronic voting is NOT suitable for Nigeria. Democracy is under attack. Option A4 remains the best system. Even El-Rufai knows this.

The problem with the Nigerian electoral system lies in insecurity and non-implementation of laws, not in the manner of voting. If votes could be rigged in Florida in 2001 during the Gore-Bush contest, then I wonder what the fate of Nigeria will be.

God help us.

I didn't read this long love letter beyond the first paragraph but I get the import of your stance.

Did you vet the software of the ATMs you withdraw from?

If not what's the basis of your apparent trust of a machine installed by the most capitalist institutions whose entire stock-in-trade is money?
