don't forget that Simy gategrashed. Maybe one of Umar, Dessers, Nwakaeme, Kayode would have made it. Rohr just wanted to add a couple home based players. andrew444: |

Taliban:I remember metaljigsaw saying Lokosa deserved to be on the list but some waive it cos of home based tag, meaning good to be hardworking. Oyekwuru the injury did not help the young man, still young, hope to see him in post WC. Dele Aiyenugba, well Rohr already made up his mind on Uzoho, Akpeyi, Ezenwa and Ajiboye. Kayode,i think is a lesson to our players to always look at their future before signing any contract, man city was a mistake. Good list but Ajiboye, Eze,Lokosa,Agbo,Agu,and Nwankwo will need to work their socks off before they can make 23 man list. 5 Likes |

This list is so predictable....Dele Ajiboye drops out, stephen Eze n Awaziem drops out...Uche agbo drops out n stephen nwankwo n junior lokosa drops out while injury will drop d seventh player |

It's a fair List, and kinda a reflection of Rohr's credibility. It's apparent he's pressured to include some Names, but he didn't bow rather absorb it to his own Good. GK Either Dele or Akpeyi won't make the final List DF I expect Eze and perhaps either of Aina or Ebuehi miss out. I know some Dudes expect Echiejile to miss out, but his Experience gonna be needed at the Mundial. MF Uche Agbo and either of Agu or Ogu won't make the final Cut. FW Junior Lokosa and Simmy ain't going to the World Cup except injury happens to any of the remaining FWs. It's a good List, and all the Invitees merit the Call. Eagles shall soar higher in Russia! 2 Likes |

10 defenders. 2 or 3 will have to be dropped. Ebuehi and Aina were also picked for LB position. These versatile full backs will make a strong case for themselves. We'll see if Rohr would stick to Echiejile. TheSuperNerd: 2 Likes |

I think we'll go with at least 7 forwards. Considering some of the players listed as forwards are also midfielders. Oasis007: |

No surprises. Typical conservative Rohr. Personally I'd have added Kalu ahead of one of Simy/ Lokosa. At least we know this is all Rohr and no pressure from "external forces" 5 Likes |

That right there is the only major decision Rohr has to make in defence. Echiejile in or out... Big decision he faces. Echiejile in will mean one of Aina or Ebuehi to be dropped. Echiejile out to mean well... You know the rest. And I see Rohr picking Eight defenders.... Four CBs and two for each fullback/wingback role. Least he will pick is obviously 7 if not 8. Joebie: |

Yes Sir AiG... Form and this.... Simy got this recognition and chance because he is doing the deed in a BIG LEAGUE {a top 5 league in Europe) and in a position (CF) that Rohr feels he can get maybe one more player to add firepower or battle Ighalo for his spot. Or maybe even complement as his backup? Time will tell... One thing I know is that Musa, Iwobi, Moses, Simon, Iheanacho, and Ighalo are WC bound. The only question is whether Simy will be our 7th forward or if he will be dropped with Lokosa and we go with Six forwards... This here is the little mathematical puzzle. AIG07: |

Oasis007:Echiejile experience doesn't count again but performance cos at club level his experience did not help him in lowly Belgium division two,so better for him to prove to Rohr that he is still the man to beat. I don't see Agbo and Agu making it based on last friendlies, Agbo has not played under Rohr but keep on getting invitation and Agu was dropped until he was called to replace injured Etebo. On goalkeeper it will take a great performance from Ajiboye to make it cos Rohr doesn't rate him but on level playing ground he should be among the best three. 3 Likes |

Joebie: He didn't play the remaining games since April 28 yet no one could catch up with his runaway tackling stats... The likes of Senegal's Gueye of Everton and France's Kante of Chelsea were always gonna finish in Ndidi's shadows. Meanwhile, come back soon our tackling octopus... WC beckons... 6 Likes 1 Share

If we must go by his decisions and utterances so far, I think Ebuhi's position is secure. Echiejile as well just because of his experience. I don't think Aina will make the final cut. If he picks 8, our 4 CB picks will be Ekong, Balogun, Awaziem and Omeruo. Echiejile and Idowu at LB Shehu and Ebuehi at RB TheSuperNerd: |
