being that eze made the 30 man list means he is well rated by rohr and his crew

Rated higher than Omeruo?

Oga, Eze is the least rated player on that list of defenders. He should even celebrate being among 30 best Nigerian players at the moment.

Oga, we are going to the FIFA WC, this is not a time to keep slots for the younger ones.
The younger ones should wait for the next series of AFCON qualifiers to see if they can have a chance to break in, which should also be by merit.

We have passed that experimental stage. It is time for business now.
I hear you oooo
whoever the German tactician pick...has my support.

that one is better....
better ball control and passing accuracy...
though a little bit of lapses in defending...but i believe he will step up as time progress

Ain't got much to say on the list... it was very predictable. no surprise.. Simmy Nwankwo really did earn his place by hitting form at the right time.. I guess playing in a better league places him ahead of d likes of Umar,Dessers and Onuachu.. as for Lokosa,I don't expect him to make the final 23 man list and his inclusion might just b an attempt to improve the league. but if he does well in the friendly, I see no reason why he shouldn't make d final list..
Really gutted for Onyekuru tho.. injury came at a bad time.. but he is still young.. let him keep doing his thing.. Qatar 2022 awaits him and the many young bubbling talents we have out there..

If Rohr is serious about being fair in his final selection, he must give d fringe players their chances in the friendly... I'll like us to play DRC with this team

Omeruo prone to error is exaggerated. He had 37 caps and apart from South Africa and Zambia match where his errors were visible i don't see any one again or do you remember any Omeruo error match apart from SA and Zambia.

I have been following this thread for a very long time now and I must confess that this is the most interesting and informative thread about the Super Eagles. From my viewing of the thread I've been able to identify a few Bosses who are good and I must start with paying homage to them before I officially join the thread. Tbaba1234 Icon4s Komekn and Thesupernerd I greet you all. I am now a member of this thread and I want you guys to accord me any privilege you accord the old members. For what's worth, I'm a product of very late 80's so my knowledge of Nigeria football dates back to 1999 U20 tourney. I am an ardent supporter of Super Eagles so we are all on same page.

Good lineup but i want to see Omeruo/Awaziem pairing coz Ekong/Awaziem combo is not working.Ekong has done it well with Balogun and Omeruo.

Anyway, I don't want to see him on the final list and I hope nothing happens to our strikers. That's all.

The biggest winner in the Nigerian list is Junior Lokosa and Kano fillas. Being on the list is a wonderful boost on his CV in his search for greener pastures.
By the way, If it was between Lakosa and Umar, I will choose Lakosa everyday of the week.
He, Lokosa is currently in Belgium , negotiating with a club interested in him. That's an insider information. Honestly we need to give him a chance at the national level. I have personally watched him play on two occasions at the Sani Abacha Stadium. His hunger for goal is second to nill compared to any NPL player at the moment.

Hmm. Omeruo is not too solid but not to be compared with a rookie who hasn't proved his mettle when the chips are down. For the records, Omeruo was outstanding in our 2013 Afcon conquest

The thing is they just like to see new players all the time. That was the argument they held against Omeruo with which to promote Awaziem. And the Awaziem has not impressed in the two SE games I have watched him play.

I still say it that Omeruo is more reliable than Awaziem. Not to talk of Sunday Eze.

We should also note that the replacement for any injured player, who is part of the final 23-man squad, doesn’t have to come from the preliminary list, per FIFA regulations.

So, if for eg Moses Simon cops an injury 2 days before the first Nigeria’s first WC match, a Kayode or Umar cheesy could be called up to replace him.

That's more reason we always have It difficult with Ekong/Awaziem pairing.

Rohr need Omeruo in the team cos of Balogun fitness cos better to see Omeruo,/Ekong in the absence of Balogun.

Personally I feel Omeruo is better than Leon Balogun. Omeruo save for a few blunders sometimes is rock solid. He may not be tactically good but he has that defensive statement in him which comes in handy when a match is tough. I mean the energetic clearance and push. Leon on the other hand is good tactically but too soft for a modern day defender. He practically loses focus most times but our sentiments (Cos he is white) won't allow us to see that. Take for instance the Algeria match, Injury or no injury he shouldn't have performed that bad but we all swept it under the carpet. Leon flops a lot of times but because Ekong covers for him a lot, we seem not to talk about it. I still remember Balogun's debut against Mexico in 2014,his performance was so poor that day that when he eventually got injured, it was like his saving grace. He was just making reckless and unguarded tackles like Fegor Ogude.

Welcome on board bro.
And know that this is a forum of analysts of all generations. Nobody is too young and nobody is too old here. Some people here watched the 1978 WC qualifiers while I have seen someone that started following since Germany 2006.

No idea is stupid as long as you can justify and defend it. So feel free to share your ideas and knowledge of the game.

I agree with u. Please if Rohr is thinking of dropping Aina instead of Echiejle, our captain Mikel should intercede on Aina's behalf because he was d one who convinced Aina to opt out for Nigeria and also, captains always have a big say in the final list. Mikel cannot turn blind eye to Echiejile's mediocrity na. Its too glaring that he has passed his prime

qe Don't need such, if Rohr thinks Echiejile ia better fine
