Very tricky. What is the “good life” you are promising? The problem is when they get SICK on your neck. Can you afford their medical bills? Then the poor help is abandoned and the bad blood starts. Giving “the good life” does not mean NO DAY OFF. She must have HER OWN ROOM, not shack up in some cubby hole/den. Or sleep on the floor of your baby’s room. I had someone from Nigeria. She was 40, with no husband or child. She was disappointed by life in Nigeria and needed a break outside Nigeria. I made sure she could braid hair. She always had FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OFF to work on a braid shop to earn extra $$$$. She cooked her own food and ate whatever she liked. She had her OWN ROOM WITH TV, her own phone I PAID FOR EVERY MONTH. I made it clear she is responsible for her own health care o. She has never fallen sick! I DON’T ENSLAVE HER. It worked out well because she only worked from 7AM and went to bed by 8PM. She got paid EVERY MONTH in $$$$, not NAIRA. Above minimum wage too. You respect yourself, she respects you. Thank our lucky stars. 9 Likes 1 Share |

bad people has soiled the good ones and truncated the chances of an unusual opportunity. i had a nanny here in nigeria which was introduced to me by my mum .shes a widow nd grandmother in her early 50's. i relly enjoyed her services nd care. she was also very prayerful and humble. OP i pray u get someone trustworthy and safe for yor kids. u can put hidden cameras in strategic places of ur house for the first few weeks so u can monitor the childminders activites on ur children. goodluck |

pharuk:I didn’t get any assistance in my quest off here so helped myself. There is a category called a domestic visa that lets you bring helps such as nannies, cooks and cleaners. It is straight forward but costs £496. The entry officer requires; Proof she/he will live with you and have their own room. Copy of Nigerian contract. Copy of uk contract. Data page of all parties including children to be cared for and that’s all. Resident permit of child’s parents Tuberculosis test certificate which has to be done at IOM Buchanan street Wuse two and costs 48,900. Six months bank statement of child parent not nanny and a letter of iv to the nanny stating his/her full name/pass number/dob/and what you are bringing them to do. Believe it or not that’s it...They most have previously worked with you or your immediate family in Nigeria for a year. |

Guessing it worked for you? We are in need of a nanny and we are somewhere in Essex. Issue is that this visa is just for 6 months, we need someone for a minimum of 1 year. doing this every 6 months is really putting me off Tutu82: |

goodday all. I just came across this now. if anyone is in need of a nanny to take to the UK and will pay at least the minimum wage over there, feel free to contact me. no disappointment or dishonesty or whatsoever. the fact that we have so many bad eggs in Nigeria doesn't mean everyone is like that. you can send a mail to bbme3168@gmail.com |

This thread is a few years old but am interested as am after some help. Hi, I live in London and recently welcomed a set of Triplets.I intend to stay at home for two years to tend to the babies but would need some help i.e a live in Nanny to join me and cook, clean and care for the babies with me. I would provide accomodation, feeding,Sundays off and £600 (£1-750 that’s 450,000 monthly if you would rather be paid in Naira). I have also considered bringing a nanny/househelp from Nigeria to look after my baby and learn the ropes but Domestic visas is a pain and young girls come here to disappear.I don’t want to have any issues so not facilitating visas. Please contact me if you live in London or looking for this sort of Job role.If anyone knows any agency details am open to the information too.Not bothered about religion but would prefer an African as would like babies to learn culture and manners.Must be Female and above 21years of age. Thank you. |
