You are right about the 4 assists but it doesn't dissanul that fact that all these players performance woefully this season which is below their standards.

All had a poor first half of the season, nevertheless Kayode performance in the first half of the season was still far better than Iheancho and Musa in the league.

Like I said all are in the same category. Nothing spectacular.

Shakhtar Donetsk is still far better than Leicester City, CSKA Moscow and Cronte. Even if these clubs plays in the Ukrainian league, they will still be dominated by Shakhtar Donetsk and if Shakhtar Donetsk plays in these leagues Shakhtar Donetsk will still be in the top 4. If I am lying or exaggerating ask Manchester City and Roma.

It doesn't take away the quality of Shahktar Donetsk.

My good friend, Kayode will be deceiving himself if he thinks he has a future with the National team under this present coaching crew. He should focus on his club career and forget about the National team. This is my humble advice to him and this is not the first time I am saying these.
,

Even if we have 50 man list, pipu will still complain. The list has been released. QED. Let's rally round them. Its just 1 player out of many. Means the coach is 99.9% correct.
We for kii ourselves for the 2014 list if na like that.

I have already addressed the first half of the season as regards Nacho, Musa and Kayode. Kayode had far more minutes than them both and didn't perform. So how can they bebsaid to be poorer than Kayode in that first half of the season? undecided Second time I am saying almost exactly these words.....

Where is the fitness that had his game time run at topsy turvy levels after thst Arsenal game even to the extent he missed 12 straight games? Nacho never got the run of games he deserved and his fitness, physical conditioning (no thanks to lack of preseason) and settling in all played an interwoven part. His second half of the season even improved with him featuring a bit more after his fitness issues were over which was what I predicted correctly in January after Slimani and Ulloa each moved.

Shakespeare kept mentioning updates about Nacho's physical conditioning and his fitness because he never had a pre-season and also picked up a toe injury in his only pre season game even... He had a niggling relapse of same toe injury in that Arsenal game. Shakespeare admitted that he was just trying to get Nacho up to speed because his toe injury was still a worry but he also had to give Nacho a fee mins Here and there to help with his conditioning due to lack of preseason on Nacho's part.

How you can so blatantly lie to yourself and choose to ignore whole facts about these beats me. But it is fine shaa. It is okay.

This is the truth behind Nacho's first half of the season... No excuses. Just the honest truth. And you wamt me to bring myself and tell a lie that he had a poorer first half sesosn than Kayode?? Holy smokes... Just cannot and won't happen. Kayode had far more mins and blew it... He was that poor. No injury factor even... He just couldn't perform in LA liga. Live with it.

forgiveness:

Plesea, let us agree that we are still discussing both players first half of the season. Agreed?

I answered you according to the tenor of your comment based on the bolded. You said got toe injury relapse after the Arsenal game which ws the first game of the season for the club, right?

How many matches did he miss after the match? Only two but he was one the bench after the Arsenal match which is one of the two matches.

He started two in two of the matches he played at a stretch before he was left on the bench for the one match and played another 3 matches at a stretch. Meaning he missed only 3 matches in 3 months.

Please, where is the injury in the first half of the season that had him played in almost all the matches for 3 good months?

Admit, Iheanacho was poorer than Kayode in the first half of the season. No excuse.

OwnGoalNigeria had reported that Umar, Kayode, Ideye, and Musa Muhammad all made Rohr's 35-man provisional list. They are now trying to make a case for their earlier story after the names they mentioned were not included in Rorh's 30-man list. OGN is now claiming that Rohr defied NFF's request for 35 players, naming 30 players instead.

My guess is the NFF had sent out invitations to players that would prosecute the Atletico friendly match (which I believe is not part of Rohr's World Cup plans). OGN must have got it all mixed up.

Who release the list? Rohr or NFf
Last time I check the list was released via twitter handle of @NGsupereagles not Rohr handle
OGN will soon close shop if care is not taken.

They should release their own list nah

You only say the bolded now because you refuse to acknowledge the argument line that says EPL and Serie A are Waaaaayyyyy bigger than the Ukrainian league. And The Russian League is also bigger than the Ukrainian league. If Kayode was playing in the EPL now, and Maybe a Musa in the Ukrainian league for Shahktar, you won't play the "Shaktar is bigger" card Egbon... You will play "the EPL is way bigger" card be it in terms of quality of oppositions, players and more.

I remember when Kayode signed for Man City on loan... You were rubbing it in everyone's faces that Man City sold Nacho and signed Kayode... You didn't even wanna acknowledge that Man City sold Nacho with a buy back clause. You were just on and on about Kayode joining City . You and I Know that if Kayode had played one game for City, you will be using that as yardstick as well... Dont lie Egbon... We have played this kinda ping pong before so we know each other wink

Kayode had more chances to feature in the first half of the LA liga season compared to Nacho and Musa in the first half of the EPL season... Kayode had more minutes than both of them all before January even. #Fact.

Musa was not rated by Shakespeare and Nacho had to battle with a toe injury which limited greatly his integration into the Leicester team.

Fact is that Newcastle wanted Kayode. In fact, agreement was sealed. Kayode was even in England because of the Newcastle deal. You are only using work permit ish now to cover for Kayode's inability to gain any relevance at the etihad. Kwantinue okay. smiley

There was no mention of work permit ish when this Newcastle deal was almost sealed. Kayode was immediately farmed out to LA liga by Man City and began playing sef with no hitches... How e come be work permit ish? You are just cooking up inexistential excuses for him. It is stale Egbon... Very stale. Fact is Kayode was never in the picture at the etihad. It is the Truth you refuse to acknowledge.

On K.Nwakali.. Even when he was at VVV Venlo... We all knew what you said. Holland is less in quality than so and so...

So playing for Ajax or Feyenoord or PSV would have done it ba? What about the league strength? cheesy Eredivisie is not even mates with Ligue 1 these days not to mention Portuguese league before even the Biggest Four comes in (Spain, England, Germany, Italy).

Egbon Forgiveness, I remember you said that Ajagun as AM was doing it as the only Nigerian in Europe more consistently than any Nigerian in the world... He was in Holland ooo.. Now he is in Belgium oooo... Playing for Kortrijk not even Anderlecht or Club Brugges... But you didn't send oooo.. It didn't matter to you abi... You were all for his performances... Oya do same for Simy too... Crotone... But difference is that he is in a BIG LEAGUE. You just cannot dribble pass that fact... It is glaring. cheesy

TheSuperNerd:
Kayode have never trained at the Etihad. I think that is a good place for you to start. What I have told you is what it is.... but ofcos I don't expect you to believe it.

Kayode chose wrong because of greed and the lure of "big club" so that he may get Rohr's attention in a bigger way. He went about things the wrong way. Newcastle was there and Who knows how his season would have turned out had he gone to Newcastle and showed the EPL the Kayode that no one has seen yet.

Look... your defence for Kayode is over the top. I too felt for Kayode when the 30-man list was released but move on we must. It was always between Simy and Kayode.. and unfortunately for Kayode... Simy was picked and justifiably so too when you consider why.
Kayode plays in Ukraine and only started his resurgence... Simy does his thing in the Serie A and have shown his stuff against teams like even Juventus. Serie A and Ukrainian league no be mate on any universe. This is what you would normally say if the tables were turned.

When it comes to K.Nwakali, you are first to remind everyone that he plays in Holland bla bla bla... bow do same with Kayode and Simy... you refuse. Sir Forgiveness.. plsss be consistently objective. We want the good of this team... The forwards picked merited their places. That is the whole truth.

Manchester City have agreed to sign Austria Vienna striker Olarenwaju Kayode for £3.5million but will loan him immediately to FC Girona.

The 24-year-old Nigeria international had also been a target for Burnley and Newcastle United.

But they would have had to pay more to ensure he gained a work permit to play in this country this season, as he just two caps to date.

Was Kayode qualified for work permit even if he went to Newcastle? But you presumed he was greedy and would had played in the EPL.

Did Newcastle offered more than Man City? shocked

This a known fact and all you have said are just your own opinion. EOD

Simy resurgence started when?

Over 45 matches in the Seria A for two seasons and how goals has he started as a striker?

I know Simy more than many of you here and I knew he also flopped twice in the Portuguese league before he came to Seria A.

Kayode has also performed against Roma on two occasions. So, it's not a big deal.

Performing against Roma should not be the yardstick of measuring quality.

He flop-ped, that's a past tense and like kome.kn always say, itvis donkey years ago. We are talking of present situation. He is just lucky, he hit a bicycle kick against Juve grin and everyone started talking about him. He didn't stop, he added a few more.

SCORECARD: How Super Eagles World Cup 30 Have Fared This Season

Ahead of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Completesportsnigeria.com’s JOHNNY EDWARD presents the scorecards of the 30 Super Eagles players listed in the preliminary squad by Gernot Rohr…

GOALKEEPERS:
Francis Uzoho (Deportivo La Coruna, Spain)
Francis Uzoho is a surebet for the 2018 FIFA World Cup barring any last minute injury. The 19-year-old has been outstanding for Deportivo La Coruna’s Team B, Deportivo Fabril, who are in contention for a Segunda Division promotion. The Nigeria international has kept 15 clean sheets for RC Deportivo Fabril this season in 25 games. The 19 year old shot-stopper has conceded 17 goals so far this term for RC Deportivo Fabril who finished second in the Spanish third tier, the Segunda B division, in the regular season.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 25
Goals conceded: 17
Clean sheets: 15

Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Enyimba FC):
Ikechukwu Ezenwa’s recent injury worries, loss of form and experience at the big stage may have cost him the No.1 spot. The Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper did himself good grabbing his chance when Daniel Akpeyi sustained an injury in training prior to the World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in Uyo where he kept a clean sheet. He is expected to be the second choice goalkeeper at the Mundial.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 5
Goals conceded: 6
Clean sheets: 1

Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United, South Africa)
Nigeria’s most experienced goalkeeper in the squad is Daniel Akpeyi but a poor outing against South Africa last year has seen him drop down in the pecking order. He needs to regain the trust of the coaching crew if he is to reclaim his place, as Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Francis Uzoho are reportedly ahead of him.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 25
Goals conceded: 18
Clean sheets: 11

DEFENDERS:
Abdullahi Shehu (Anthorsis Famagusta/ Bursaspor FC, Turkey):
Shehu’s recent form for Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor makes him the first choice at right-back considering the recent sidelining of Tyronne Ebuehi who was earlier tipped to displace him from the position.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 33
Assists: 2
Goals scored: 1

Tyronne Ebuehi (Ado Den Haag, The Netherlands)
Tyronne Ebuehi’s form has dipped and he has battled with injury in recent weeks and he must show more than zeal and vigour in to make the final 23 man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He failed to build on his impressive debut performance for the Super Eagles against Argentina in their 4-2 win over Argentina when he fumbled in the team’s 2-0 defeat to Serbia in London in March.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 28
Assists: 2
Goals scored: None

Ola Aina (Hull City, England)
Ola Aina will be a good squad addition to the Super Eagles at the World Cup due to his versatility. He is one of the few Nigeria players named in the provisional squad list to have played over 40 league games this season, having played the most games for his English Championship side Hull City. Aina can play comfortably as a full-back on either flank.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 46
Assists: 3
Goals scored: 1

Elderson Echiejile (Cercle Brugge KSV, Belgium)
Elderson Echiejile got few games under his belt after he joined Belgian second division club Cercle Brugge KSV on loan in January. They gained promotion to the elite division. Despite being the most experienced defender in the current Super Eagles squad, Echiejile still has the youthful Ola Aina and Bryan Idowu to battle with for the left-back position.
2017/18 stats:
Total games played: 12
Assists: 1
Goals scored: None.

Bryan Idowu (Amkar Perm, Russia)
Bryan Idowu boosted his chances of making the final cut for the 2018 World Cup in Russia by posting a decent shift for the Super Eagles in their friendlies against Poland and Serbia.
2017/18 stats:
Total games played: 30
Assist: Nil
Goals scored: 1

Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes FC, France)
Chidozie Awaziem struggled in his last game for Super Eagles in their 2-0 defeat to Serbia. The inclusion of Stephen Eze in the provisional squad will make his chances of making the final cut tougher.
2017/18 stats:
Total games played: 23
Assist: None
Goals scored: 1

William Troost-Ekong (Bursaspor FC, Turkey)
William Troost-Ekong is another sure bet for the World Cup in Russia barring injury. The centre-back has formed a formidable partnership with Leon Balogun in the heart of the Super Eagles defence. He has been consistent for club and country for the past 10 months.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 31
Assists: None
Goals scored: 2

Leon Balogun (FSV Mainz 05, Germany)
Leon Balogun’s season has been plagued with several injuries in the German Bundesliga with FSV Mainz, but what he brings to the team surpasses what the most of the other defenders can offer. The medical team will be at their best to ensure the 29-year-old regains full fitness before their high profile game against England on the 2nd of June.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 15
Assist: None
Goals scored: None

Kenneth Omeruo (Kasimpasa FC, Turkey):
Kenneth Omeruo is in a straight fight with Chidozie Awaziem and Stephen Eze for one of the two available spots as back-up for William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun who are the team’s first choice centre-back pairing. The Chelsea loanee has been consistent for Turkish club Kasimpasa but it remains to be seen if he will make the final squad.
2017/18 stat:
Total games played: 28
Assist: None
Goals scored: 1

Stephen Eze (Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Bulgaria)
Stephen Eze will be eager to impress if he does get his chance with the Super Eagles. He is yet to make his debut for the main Super Eagles squad after excelling with the home-based team at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in January. His height is a big advantage for him but he faces stiff competition from the experienced defenders in his position.
2017/18 stat
Total games played: 11
Assists: Nil
Goals scored: Nil

MIDFIELDERS
Mikel Obi (Tianjin Teda, China)
Mikel Obi remains the brain box of the team, his influence and wealth of experience playing at the highest level with Chelsea before his move to China over a year ago will be looked upon for inspiration when the going gets tough in Russia.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 10
Assist: 2
Goals scored: 1

Ogenyi Onazi (Trabzonspor FC, Turkey)
Fit-again Ogenyi Onazi will be heavily relied upon to screen every danger from the midfield. The tireless midfielder is one of Gernot Rohr’s trusted men in midfield.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 23
Assists: 2
Goals scored: 3

Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England)
Wilfred Ndidi was one of the most consistent players for club and country in the last one year. But his hamstring injury could mean the 21 year old may struggle to reach his best level. The medical team of the Super Eagles have assured that the Leicester City midfielder will be ‘super fit’ for the World Cup but the biggest question is if he will be in form for the Super Eagles when he anchors in midfield.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 38
Assists: 4
Goals scored: 1

Oghenekaro Etebo (Feriense/Las Palmas, Spain)
Oghenekaro Etebo is another player battling to be fully fit for the World Cup after a muscle strain made him miss Las Palmas’ last two games. The midfielder has been immense for Las Palmas who suffered relegation at the end of the season.
2017/18 stat
Total games played: 29
Assists: 3
Goals scored: 4

John Ogu (Hapoel Beer-Sheva, Israel)
The 29-year-old John Ogu will be brimming in confidence when he reports at the Le Meridien Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo on Monday, 21st May in preparation for the 2018 World Cup. Ogu is the only player in the provisional squad to have won a league title this season. Having missed out on the provisional squad to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Ogu will give it everything to make it to Russia.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 31
Assists: None
Goals scored: 2

Uche Agbo (Standard Liege, Belgium)
Uche Agbo has been a top performer for his Belgian club Standard Liege but that seems not to have swayed Gernot Rohr in any way to hand him a debut for the past one year. The final preparatory games for the World Cup will offer him an outside chance of nicking a place in the final 23-man squad to Russia.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 39
Assists: 3
Goals scored: 1

Joel Obi (Torino FC, Italy)
If Joel Obi can overcome his injury worries in training it will be difficult to drop him for either of John Ogu, Oghenekaro Etebo, Mikel Agu and Uche Agbo in a midfield department where the Super Eagles are spoilt for choice. Aside from Mikel Obi, Joel Obi is the most experienced Nigerian midfielder around and he plays in one of the top leagues in Europe.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 25
Assists: 2
Goals scored: 6

Mikel Agu (Bursaspor FC, Turkey)
Gernot Rohr has so much faith in Mikel Agu, a reason why he has always been called up unless injured. He did not finish the season on a good note as he lost his place at Bursaspor and it remains to be seen if he will make the final squad.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 23
Assists: 2
Goals scored: 3

FORWARDS
Ahmed Musa (Leicester City/CSKA Moscow, Russia)
Ahmed Musa rediscovered his goal scoring form byplaying regularly for CSKA Moscow whom he joined on a six-month loan deal from Leicester City in January. With his confidence back, a couple of decent performances will earn him another World Cup appearance in Russia.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 23
Assists: 6
Goals scored: 9

Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City, England)
Iheanacho gained momentum with Leicester City towards the end of the English Premier League season, scoring two goals in his last two games he started out as a striker. Ihenacho remains the national team’s most prolific player in the past one year, scoring four goals in seven games for the Super Eagles, though he was a shadow of himself playing in the John Mikel Obi role in Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Poland in Wroclaw in March.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 30
Assists: 4
Goals scored: 9

Moses Simon (KAA Gent, Belgium)
Simon made a return from a knee ligament injury that kept him out of action for two months last Sunday in Gent’s 3-2 loss to KV Oostende. Simon, a tricky winger, was also instrumental in Nigeria 2018 World Cup qualification. He provides width and pace on the flanks for the team.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 23
Assist: 2
Goals scored: 5

Victor Moses (Chelsea FC, England)
Victor Moses is arguably one of the biggest names in Gernot Rohr’s 30 man squad; he has been impressive playing as a wing-back for Chelsea for the past two seasons. Moses played crucial roles as the three-time African champions qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup without losing a game. He remains a catalyst in the Eagles attack in Russia.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 36
Assists: 4
Goals scored: 4

Odion Ighalo (Changchun Yatai, China)
Apart from Odion Ighalo, the Super Eagles do not have lacked a centre forward that could get goals consistently. Despite firing blanks in his last game with Changchun Yatai, the former Watford striker has scored seven goals in 10 league appearances in the Chinese Super League this season.
2018 stats
Total games played: 10
Assists: None
Goals scored: 7

Alex Iwobi (Arsenal FC, England)
Iwobi remains a great hope for Nigeria if he rediscovers the form that shot him to prominence. The 22-year-old has blown hot and cold in games for Arsenal this season to suggest that he can be the missing playmaker the Super Eagles craves for in Russia.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 39
Assists: 7
Goals scored: 3

Simeon Nwankwo (Crotone FC, Italy)
Despite being highly rated in the Italian Serie A with Crotone, Simy Nwankwo remains a dark horse in this list and will have to do the extra ordinary to make it to Russia despite scoring seven times this season for Crotone who need a win to avoid relegation.
2017/18 stats
Total games played: 23
Assists: 1
Goals scored: 7

Junior Lokosa (Kano Pillars)
Junior Lokosa’s inclusion in the provisional squad list for the World Cup was greeted with mixed feelings. The Nigerian Professional Football League top scorer must continue his form with the Eagles to stand a chance of making the final squad. He must also show his readiness when he gets his chance.
2017/18 stats

Are you saying he missed 12 straight games after the Arsenal match? Can you pls show me the lists of those matches?

Pls, show me facts and I will believe you my good friend. That's all grin

So Newcastle were gonna kill themselves for a player that will not feature in the EPL abi? Lol... I followed the kayode to Newcastle saga... Bemitez badly wanted his man. Kayode was that man. They were ready to do whatever possible to sign him and in fact kayode was already in England to seal the deal.... But the greed of "I am in a big club" made him mess up the deal.... Newcastle offered more. New outlets did say that work permit was a concern at first but Newcastle were very confident of a deal that will secure work permit for Kayode... It is all there on the internet.

Newcastle being that confident shows that they were willing to cough out more than 3.5 million for him. Kayode was Austrian league's MVP for Goodness sake! They knew the cards they had to play to get him that work permit. Transfer fee and pay package is also a major determinant in determine if a deal is qualified for a work permit apart from a player's international caps (He has three at the time I think).

SO your sources only showed Man City paid less and not having this permit was obvious because the transfer price was even too low for Kayode. Thus he could be farmed out... And did he meet a brick wall in Spain? Nope... He just walked right in. cheesy No hitches and began playing his football.

The fact remains that you celebrated Kayode's move so much that you even said that it meant he was better than Iheanacho because Man City under Pep sold him but went on to buy Kayode..... When people reminded you that Pep and Man City inserted a buy back clause, you didn't care to listen to that Angle... All you care about was that Kayode was now at a BIGGER CLUB, Man City, than Nacho was which is Leicester... It was so funny and really again showed your personal attachment to this kayode cause.

It is not bad to like a player. In fact it is okay really... But don't let your likeness for that player make you see others in realy bad light because you want me to even lie that Nacho and Musa had a bad first half of the sesosn than Kayode... Kayode got his chances and was not even performing compared to the little Nacho got and the chances Musa never even got.

Fast forward now... We can see NLS who the better among them all are... And this is part of why Kayode is not on the list to Russia. It is unfortunate for him but he should not sulk for long... He should keep his head up and keep working because Shahktar may even sign permanently and he gets to ppkay UCL football.

The 24-year-old Nigeria international had also been a target for Burnley and Newcastle United.

But they would have had to pay more to ensure he gained a work permit to play in this country this season, as he just two caps to date.

I have liked a couple of your comments this morning. Eg we can't compare nwakali in Holland div 2 with Kayode. And I agree shak donk are better than Leicester and crotone. However what you just typed about mane and keita are exaggerated. A mane dazzling for Liverpool, who shone for Southampton would definitely be our best player, same for naby keita.

u no read OGN tweet? They are claiming Rohr defied NFF and named 30 players instead of 35 players.
I'm thinking they got stories from inside sources as regards some players invited to prosecute the Atletico match. Then they assumed from there that those fringe professionals invited will also be in Rohr's 30 man list. Now they are trying to put a twist to the story. The truth is Rohr has always said he would release a list of 30 players (not the maximum 35). These reporters are a joke

Nope not after the arsenal game naa... Didn't you see where I said we should not address just the first 10 games alone...?

But in that first half of the season, Nacho missed 12 straight games between October 21st and January 20th by either being on the bench or not making the squad altogether.
Puel was in now or later along the line and Nacho's physical conditioning was still not up to par before January even.

Nacho didn't have a preseason and suffered a toe injury in Leicester's final preseason game (or last but one preseason game coz I know they played Wolves too) that limited his influence/performamces on field for weeks going into a few months... He never got 90mins or even 80 mins again after that Arsenal game... Does this not mean or signify anything to you?

Prove it with facts with a reliable source.

Is it Kayode that had preseason or is it Kayode that didn't have injury and missed 5 straight matches from October to December? In January he was already out because he demanded for transfer. How come you are not using that same excuse to judge Kayode?

Pls, note that before both had injuries Kayode was better during those moments. That is the koko.

The price Newcastle wanted to pay was never truly revealed becos Kayode was in Englamd for final talks which never happened again. Simple. No thanks to Man City's interference. But Newcastle and Benitez were confident of landing Kayode before that twist....

I really don't have time now to begin digging up archives of reports of the happenings leading up to Kayode's potential Newcastle move and layer hijack by City... But look at this...

Newcastle are reportedly favourites to sign Austria Wien attacker Olanrewaju Kayode this summer after he smashed his way to the top of the Austrian Bundesliga goalscoring charts last season.

African outlet Score Nigeria claimed sources have revealed that the 24-year-old is expected to sign with the Toon within the next few days, with only a work permit likely to be the only stumbling block.

However, those behind the deal are said to be confident that Kayode’s work permit will go through successfully and the three-time Nigeria international will be a Newcastle player before the end of the window.

Newcastle badly needed Kayode and were willing to negotiate a price that will make his work permit case valid and good....

Now here is a site to show you something on Prices/transfers of players affecting work permits...

The appeals process is a points based system under which the panel will award points depending on the circumstances of the transfer. If a player scores four points or more, the panel may recommend that the application is granted. Nonetheless, the panel can still reject the application even if four or more points are scored.

Criteria:
The value of the transfer fee being paid for the player is in the top 25% of all transfers to Premier League clubs in the previous 2 windows

Point: 3 points

Criteria:
The value of the transfer fee being paid for the player is between the 50th and 75th % of all transfers to Premier League clubs in the previous 2 windows
Point: 2 points

Criteria:
The wages being paid to the player by the applicant club is in the top 25% of the top 30 earners at the club
Point: 3 points

Criteria:
The wages being paid to the player by the applicant club are
between the 50th and 75th % of all the top 30 earners at the club
Points: 2 points

Criteria:
The player’s current club is in a Top League[3] and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes
Points: 1 point

Criteria:
The player’s current club has played in the group stages or onwards of the Champions League, Europa League or the Copa Libertadores within the last 12 months and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes
Point: 1 point

If the player does not meet the above points based system review, there is a secondary examination under which if the player scores 5 points or more, the panel may recommend that an application is granted. Points can be scored if, for example, the player has played in the final qualification rounds of the Champions League, Europa League or the Copa Libertadores within the last 12 months and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes. The review at this stage is more flexible meaning that the panel can take into account the circumstances if no transfer fee is payable (perhaps because the player has reached the end of his contract) or if the player satisfies some but not all of the automatic criteria.

Based on all these... Kayode was surely in with a good chance of landing a work permit had the Newcastle deal been carried out to fruition. He took the "greedy" route of "Big club" lure....

By greed I obviously mean the pride of being associated with a big club... Man city didn't offer more... They just offered prestige which Kayode craved.

forgiveness:

At least, I am gving you facts to debunk your opinion.

Can you pls tell me what will qualify Kayode for a work permit if the reliable source is not correct?

Prove it with facts with a reliable source.

While you are it, KAYODE WAS NOT QUALIFIED FOR WORK PERMIT BASED ON THAT RELIABLE SOURCE. Except you want to tell me Newcastle was ready to pay hefty price than Man City for him. This one to must be confirmed by a reliable source.

It is nolonger greed, na big big club!? grin

Dear Forgiveness;

Though some think you are a Tribalist, but I only see you as a controversial Person. However, it shouldn't be every time you would feel discontented with the List.

The Argument seems uncalled for, it ain't necessary and simply a Distraction to the Thread at the moment. We ought to be discussing our Chances based on the invited Players. Those who are likely to be dropped and the Reasons for it?!

Enough of this Argument pls. You gonna have to move on, and support the Team as a true Nigerian/ a loyal Fan. We can't always get what we want/desire, we can't be satisfied either.

Kindly end the Discourse before it gets out of control.
