Congratulations to "Daddy and Mummy..." I remember that one time Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos warned its members not to call priests"daddy". It is just baseless. And so you know "Daddy" isn't the same thing as "Reverend Father". Reverend Father connotes that the bearer has attained a level in the Lord's vineyard(there is Reverend Brother), meaning the bearer is an ordained priest. Simple. |

BBC is there to record fake miracles. RCCG should please not embarrass Nigerians with their bogus claims of raising the dead. 3 Likes |

Firgemachar: I see no reason for such. If you think such things are boast worthy then there is something wrong with your mental faculty. Of what use is gathering 1 million worshipers? The same God present"where 2 or 3 are gathered" is the same present in a million worshipers, my boy. Besides the Catholic Church practices orthodox Christianity. That is something to boast about. 4 Likes |

Use your tithes and offerings money to register for remedial course in English Language for JSS 2 student, instead of rushing here to expose this poor and deprived knowledge in putting together simple sentences. Now I can appreciate the enslaving dynamics because you will not even be permitted to attend the school built with your contributions. The scam is real 1 Like |

Paradigm777: RCCG is actually not growing. Everyday they share flyers to other Christians who aren't members of their church, inviting them for one program or the other. When they come to those RCCG church programmes, The church extracts their phone numbers and start calling n texting them everyday to come for one program or another.......weeks or months later, Those Christians head back to their church...... And the cycle continues......winning souls in RCCG isn't about winning souls of atheists, Muslims, Hindus, etc. ....... Its all about dragging Christians who are already members of another church to leave their church and become RCCG members . 6 Likes 1 Share |

RCCG most obviously should be the fastest growing church in the world. That's why there have been strong attacks on Adeboye, as if he is the only pastor collecting tithes. The kingdom of darkness shall continue to be disgraced. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

In a country with; -Abysmal infant mortality rate - More than 70% people living on less than a dollar. - Kidney disease epidemic -Thousands of children on the waiting list for heart transplant abroad. -One of the highest rates of non-conflict emigration in the world. -One of the last places on earth where Polio and Lassa Fever are endemic -Highest population of Internally displaced people in the world -Second highest population of people living with hiv in the world -Top 10 highest concentration of poorest people in the world In a country with all these stats (and even more gruesome ones), we celebrate Daddy G.O, the popular tithe collector who is expanding his business at such a rate that the world has been forced to take note. Nigerians are generous givers. But not givers to societal causes like preventing Hiv Aids and malaria, or to internally displaced people, or VVF prevention, Heck no! That's for the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, or the Rockerfella foundation, or the United Nations and world bank. Nigerians give money to Adeboye and Oyedepo for the expansion of their churches. So more branches can be opened nationwide. So more Private Jets can be acquired and more tithes collected. The BBC is just here to poke fun at the very interesting and ironic contrasts that shape daily life in Nigeria. 12 Likes 8 Shares |
