Most footballers only get ONE chance of playing at the World Cup. And Tammy Abraham threw his chance away.

At the end of the day he would have NO ONE else to blame but himself if he never gets that chance again. sad

If Tammy agreed to play for Nigeria, he could have been dropped too.

No Walcott.

Chai! Some players are just destined not to play at the biggest stage. He was called twice but ruled out by injury. Now that he is fit, invitation was not extended to him.

Such is life.
Walcott is one for the future

I dont think so, considering the lengths to which Pinnick went to, so as to get him to play for Nigeria. Last last, the list would have been extended to 33

Why 'Poor Man's Kanu' Was Picked Ahead Of Kayode, Ajayi In Nigeria's Preliminary Squad?
Al Ahly SC striker Junior Ajayi, Manchester City loanee Olarenwaju Kayode, Malaga duo Isaac Success and Brown Ideye missed the cut for Nigeria's 30-man provisional World Cup roster, with manager Gernot Rohr opting to hand a maiden call-up to Crotone's Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo.

Dubbed the 'New Nwankwo Kanu, Simy is Nigeria's most in-form striker playing in Europe's top five leagues, having netted six goals in his last seven matches in a league with the meanest defenses in Europe, the Serie A.

''The Serie A is a very tough league, it is a league where teams are built on solid defenses and we have ruthless man-markers,'' Super Eagles Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye explained to Channels Television why the lanky striker was invited.

''He's under the watch of our scouts for a long time not just because of the World Cup, he has scored some good goals, a spectacular overhead kick against Juventus.

''Now he has the opportunity to come to camp and show to the coaches why he should be at the World Cup.''

Simy spent the formative years of his football career at Future Hope Academy Nkpor, G.U.O FC and Imo United before joining the youth team of Portimonense in August 2010.

Federal Government Warns Super Eagles: Qualifying For Second Round No Longer Acceptable

Federal Government Warns Super Eagles: Qualifying For Second Round No Longer Acceptable
The Federal Government has warned the Super Eagles of Nigeria that just qualifying from group D of the 2018 FIFA World Cup is no longer acceptable while insisting the team should aim to win the World Cup.

Special Adviser to the President Muhammadu Buhari , Femi Adesina, also charged other African teams not to have low ambitions, adding that funding will not be an issue for the Super Eagles team.

''Nigeria should do well, do very well at the World Cup. You know our target used to be qualifying for the second round, then at a time the target of Africa was getting to the quarterfinal,'' Femi Adesina said.

''I think we should be more ambitious this time, let's go as far as we can get and if we can win, why not, but let us not have low ambition.

''Funds should not be a problem as long as everything is put in place timeously, those who should make the request should make it in good time. If everything is done when it should be done, there should be no problem.''

Nigeria’s best outing at the mundial was finishing at the round of 16 three times in five appearances.

Coach Rohr has released a 30-man provisional squad for the World Cup, as the Super Eagles prepare to play Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in the group stage when the competition starts in June.

this sounds more like a threat; the FG and every dedicated super eagles fan should better not anticipate much from the team during the tournament.
We should rather be grateful for what the coach and his technical crew are doing by trying to build a national team for the future. We want a competitive team in the world cup and every other major tournaments, so whereby if they eventually are not fortunate to win the trophy, they can deserve our approbation.

Shebi una dey see ENGLAND SQUAD abi,23 man direct just like brazil,no be all this nonsense 35 man list, some people for this thread self even want 50 man list so that dem go put all the oyinbo player and their favorite so them go get time to argue.

For our mind now we go say make lakosa fight for shirt or na simmy nwankwo,we are very sure that the both of them will be dropped even if nacho and ighalo are playing badly,we already know who is going to the world cup so it will be better for some people to stop crying like a sheep.

I am not God but tammy might not make next world cup,I dont know if Wilfred Zaha had not change to ivory coast if he would make this team because england like partial.

Wilfred Zaha is england best winger this season after raheem sterling,Better than lingard and co,i like he changed to ivory coast because the english team cannot be trusted.

What matters is the final 23.. Tammy's form could easily have got him dropped for Nigeria unless Pinnick tries to influence Rohr.

he would have gotten a goal or assist in the Green White Green and that would have been enough to secure a seat.

Tammy goofed big time. That's why I'm praying for Aina to make the final cut... Him and Ebuehi.

To Komekn I am disappointed and gutted at the real Southgate not the pseudo one. Why did he leave out such talented players as
JOSH Onomah
Seyi Ojo
Dominic solanke
Tammy Abraham
Dominic Iorfa
Lookman
These are young guys doing exceptionally well, some are even U20 WC winners, some playing very well in the championship. Despite the fact that Nigeria has left these boys for England. It is either Southy is incompetent or this is corruption on the grandest scale ever. These guys weren't even given an opportunity because they weren't ALLOWED.

Tammy Abraham simply exhibited the folly associated with a juvenile. His decision to play for England is one to regret for years. He won't even smell Euro. Not when other stars are springing up and he's going on loan again. This one's career died earlier than Agbonlahor's and I have zero pity for him.
