Eyimba lost today o in their CAFCC game

3:0

People talking about pedigree being the deciding factor in CAF but where was it now?

Enyimba had an easy run to the group stage but people were bashing the other clubs out of ignorance.

These are young guys doing exceptionally well, some are even U20 WC winners, some playing very well in the championship. Despite the fact that Nigeria has left these boys for England. It is either Southy is incompetent or this is corruption on the grandest scale ever. These guys weren't even given an opportunity because they weren't ALLOWED.

Look at the England list again and tell me if any of your listed player is better than the ones selected .....

this sounds more like a threat; the FG and every dedicated super eagles fan should better not anticipate much from the team during the tournament.
We should rather be grateful for what the coach and his technical crew are doing by trying to build a national team for the future. We want a competitive team in the world cup and every other major tournaments, so whereby if they eventually are not fortunate to win the trophy, they can deserve our approbation.

You have a point. But still, I feel we should keep our fingers crossed. They can pull of some surprises you know, but it won't be easy.

Every team is going to this cup with a can-do attitude

England's U-21 coach has not yet released his own list of players. I can assure you Tammy will top the list.

Just like Argentina and Portugal can play without Messi and Ronaldo respectively.

If Moses is unavailable it is a different thing. You have him fit and available and you put him on the bench?

The only chance we created against Poland all 90mins was created and the penalty converted by Moses. That is a kind of player that can single handedly convert a draw to a win or a lose to a draw.

He remains our most dangerous forward.

and thesame team played without Moses and won Argentina ..... i am a fan of Moses but i dont like to see him on his off day , cos the nonsense he will play will affect the good of others ... Conte brought out the best of him , he has stopped his over dribbling ... but i still stand that the team can play without Moses ... its only Mikel that we dont have a replacement for .

You don't get the point. The team can play without Moses and even Mikel.

But the Team is better offensively with Moses on the pitch. Yes Moses was not in the Argentina game but we would have been more offensive with him on the pitch.

Tammy Abraham simply exhibited the folly associated with a juvenile. His decision to play for England is one to regret for years. He won't even smell Euro. Not when other stars are springing up and he's going on loan again. This one's career died earlier than Agbonlahor's and I have zero pity for him.
Once a player rejects Nigeria, watch as his career withers.

Loolll... A left back sef. I believe he is back up to Danny Rose. England even have three natural rightbacks and I ask... What for? Trent is there... Trippier is there... Even Walker (their first choice obviously). But Trent can play in right midfield too shaa.... The England side looks normal to me. Nothing spectacular even in their midfield.

I agree on Josh Onomah. I have followed his games too. He is a quality prospect. I hope with time we can land him and Ademola Lookman. Especially Ademola Lookman. That kid got dare and heart. Just what we need in addition to his obvious talent.

A few others england based or bred Nigerian foreign borns may still break into the picture with time if England keeps ignoring them too. I hope we can land some of the quality ones.

Imagine the names he suggested when he expressed his displeasure with the draft list. Long story short if they are not good for the 3 lions they are not good enough for us too. Nwankwo: I’m Happy With The Opportunity To Vie For Spot In Super Eagles’ W/Cup Squad
May 16, 2018 11:20 am

Crotone of Italy forward, Simeon Nwankwo says he will prove he is worthy of a place in the Super Eagles following his surprise inclusion in the 30-man provisional list for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria. com reports.

Nwankwo, 26, and Kano Pillars striker, Junior Lokossa are the notable first-time call-ups in the list released by Nigeria head coach, Gernot Rohr on Monday who overlooked the likes of Brown Ideye, Junior Ajayi and Sadiq Umar.

The former Gil Vicente of Portugal player has earned rave reviews recently following his impressive performances for Crotone in the Italian Serie A.

He has scored seven goals in 22 league appearances for the club this season an improvement from the three he netted in 21 league games last term.

The striker however has a tough task in his hands as regards making the final 23 for the mundial with forwards, Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa all favoured to be on the plane to Russia.

“The last few days have been a good one for me, my club and family. I have received a lot of congratulatory messages on the invitation and I’m happy with the way things have turned out for me so far,” Nwankwo stated in an interview with Lagos based radio station, Brila Fm monitored by CSN.

“Playing at the World Cup is the dream of every player . This is an opportunity for me to showcase my talent and prove myself to the coaches.

“Already, we have some friendly matches lined up before the World Cup which is a big opportunity for every player to fight for a place in the team, especially those of us coming into the team for the first time
“I will give my best and see what happens at the end of the day.”

The Super Eagles are expected to begin preparation for Russia 2018 on May 22 in Uyo where they will train for a couple of days before proceeding to Port Harcourt for a friendly match against Democratic Republic of Congo on May 28.

The Three-time African champions will play in Group D in Russia along with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.
