And Zenith? The bottom line is that our dear NSE is the worst teacher ever to transverse this earth. My opinion.

Dangote Flour might come with a shocker by Q2!

You mean Diamon'ic shocker or CCNNic shocker?

If Diamond reverses and reaches N2.00 next week, many here will claim they entered at N1.49 today.... grin
Even Peter will say so... grin

Let's keep deceiving ourselves here.... grin

I respect those who are bold enough to state their stand!
I have no lessons to learn from those who have never lost since they started trading... grin

I am going to do a census today, don't claim you never read this post.... grin

Those who bough or sold today should CLEARLY state so, if not, don't come here later to deceive people.
I remember when Fidelity was collapsing, immediately it made a u- turn around N2.19, almost everyone claimed he got in at the bottom.... grin

Add 20 to 30% to the price at which it was being loaded. Thats where it will reach before falling again

Can any Ogas comment on the N138.126billions (i.e about N4.39/Share) that Zenith bank wrote off their Retained Earning in 1st quarter 2018 report, they tagged it "IFRS 9 transfer to loan reserve". You can find this transaction in the "Statements of Changes in Equity".

Sorry for taking us back.

They implemented IFRS 9 in Q1 2018. It deals with financial instruments. That transaction deals with how impairment is treated under IFRS 9.

Read till you read your comment here.
You will miss ALL the money Wanajo, Agba, Rabbi, Fxuser etc etc made all these years.

We used to have one BullBearMkt here who broke into CBN and is working on acquiring the exchange, he no longer have time to contribute and help the feeble here with TA. Fxuser is much around.

Follow Fxuser with extreme caution. The appeal of his melodious sounding technical jargons may hypnotise you and you may at times over stay in an unprofitable position..... grin

When CP show you a stock, buy, but you are on your own if you wait for him to ring a selling bell, his bell was stolen long ago and at times he may have to chose between selling and ringing when he borrows another bell.... grin

Argue against Wanajo's analysis/position untill you discover your stock is irreversibly stuck in a lagoon, learn this very lesson yourself, first hand experiences are better sometimes.

When you hear Jaaaaaaaa from RabbiDoracle, first escape, questions have their season.

You will be happy you escaped all the traps that knocked my head severally against the wall and separated me from my hard earned cash... grin

Flirt with Greed, Flirt with Fear, but take none to bed.

Keep it in mind, There is no place for regrets in this game.... grin

Regrets breed a trading complex that leads to a string of losses due to several mind games popping up... grin

Read, read and read, then plant cautiously, but incrementally as your feets get steady .... grin

You are in the right place.

Good luck! grin
Wow! @IchimokuPilot , I just enjoyed every bit in this post.

Meanwhile, I still dey kampe, I am only trying to diversify my (family) portfolio into other areas which has been taken up much of my attention

Thank you my oga for your response.
But does it mean going forward, company wiĺl quietly write off impairment without it reflecting in the income statement?

A game changer in my opinion. As the details unfold, I expect the market to respond. A much needed catalyst imo.

MSCI ADDITION FOR 16 MAY 2018/GENERAL MARKET COMMENT

MSCI index is considering the next move. No activity yesterday 16 May 2018. By Wednesday next week we will know the next move of the market.

Point of correction for 15 May 2018 MSCI index, actually the fund sold some quantities of Nestle and Transcorp. This is reflected below today’s movement chart below.

This is a time one can buy a good stock at a bargain price. Since I know that the market is dull and only few buyers, I want to bid for small quantity of Transcorp at a limit price of NGN1.58 today. My stop loss for this order will be NGN1.38 while my immediate target will be 1.98 or 1.80, this is another entry where I have followed the right process and I don’t care if the stock moves up or down.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source.

They sold transcorp on monday, bought back on tuesday then sold again on wednesday all within the same price range. Those guys are just too much.

...sometimes I wonder which analysis is better. Is it fundamental analysis or technical analysis? I remember about a month ago when I posted on the forum the likely price rise of Brent oil when it was hovering around around 71. Then, a respected member of the forum gave us some fundamental reasons why it cannot go above that level... as they say, the rest is history.

From my little years of experience trading in financial market, I've come to realise that, fundamental analysis is good but what really matter is the perception of other investors to the fundamental data of the "asset" - be it stock, currency, commodity or what have you.

A fundamentally sound stock can keep crashing down like a log of wood while stock with poor fundamental continue to rise higher and higher.

It all depend on how overall market perceive the fundamental of the particular stock - sentiment.

However, technical analysis can be a handy tool to gauge the market's perception of the fundamental of such stock.

Reality is Fundamentals moves the financial market and not technical analysis, but with TA, one can determine the good time to enter a market and best time to exit and come out with sound profit.
