May 17, 2018 8:58 am

Nigeria forward, Henry Onyekuru, is in line to link up with German club, Borussia Monchengladbach on loan for the 2018/2019 season, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Onyekuru joined English Premier League club, Everton from Belgian side Eupen last summer but spent this season on loan at Anderlecht.

Everton and Anderlecht had an agreement for the player to stay on for another season, but Onyekuru according to a report in Belgian online news outlet, m.hnl.be , is opposed to the idea and instead prefer a move to Germany.

The striker believes that he does not get enough trust from Anderlecht coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck, who has repeated several times over the past weeks that he is not fit to play following his long term injury an assertion the player disagree with.
Turkish giants, Besiktas are also said to be interested in securing Onyekuru’s services, but his preferred destination is the Bundesliga.

Abdullahi: I’m Honoured To Make Nigeria’s Provisional World Cup Squad
May 15, 2018 12:22 pm

Bursaspor of Turkey defender, Shehu Abdullahi, is honoured to make Nigeria’s provisional squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria. com (CSN) reports.

Abdullahi played a key role in the qualifiers as the Super Eagles edged out Zambia, Cameroon and Algeria to secure a place in the mundial.

The right-back barring any unforseen circumstances is expected to be named in the final 23-man squad for the competition.
“The journey started in 2015 when I made my debut. Ever since then, your tremendous support have been amazing. I’m honoured to be listed in the World Cup provisional squad. Thanks @thenff, Gernot Rohr & @NGSuperEagles backroom staff. Thanks Nigerian media!,” Abdullahi tweeted on Tuesday.

The 25-yer old has been capped 12 times by Nigeria but is yet to register a goal on the international scene.

He was part of the home-based Super Eagles team that came third at the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa.

The former Kano Pillars star also won bronze with Nigeria’s U-23 side at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Joel Obi Gets World Cup Boost, Returns From Injury For Torino

Nigeria midfielder Joel Obi boosted his chances of making the country’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after making a return from injury to the bench in Torino’s 2-1 win against SPAL in a Serie A fixture on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

Obi has missed Torino’s last three league games due to injury, which put his participation at the World Cup in doubt.

The former Inter Milan player last featured for Torino in their 1-1 draw against AC Milan on April 18 as a 57th minute for Tomas Rincon.

Obi has featured in 22 league games for Torino this season and has scored five goals.

Torino rallied back from a goal down to win the game.

Alberto Grassi put SPAL ahead in the 22nd minute but Torino scored two goals through Andrea Belotti and Lorenzo Silvestri.

No worries, bro. There's no hard feelings here, I would probably buy you a drink when we meet. But I'd just like for you to slow your rolls with some of these ridiculous arguments. Kayode's non-invite would not and does not change anything on whether we perform well in Russia. Hence, to hold the entire forum hostage over Kayode makes me question your motive. If I didn't know better I would think that Rohr had suddenly refused to invite Leo Messi or something grin

Awesome. The stars definitely seem to be aligning for a great world cup outing for the Super Eagles. We don't have any major injury concerns. I mean, aside from Carl Ikeme, we're in good shape: Balogun, Ebuehi, Joel Obi, and Ndidi are all fit and ready to go.

In addition, our strikers Kelechi, Iwobi, Ighalo; Musa, Moses, and Simeon all seem to be hitting form just in time. I just can't wait for June 15th! Bring on the Croats guys!!!

All Rohr's Worries Are Over: Leicester Ace Ndidi Starts Swimming, Gym Work

Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi is pushing himself to be fit even ahead of schedule after he was named in Nigeria's 30-man provisional roster for the World Cup.
The hamstring injury the defensive midfielder suffered against Crystal Palace on April 28 is expected to keep him out of action for six weeks but he has stepped up his recovery programme in the swimming pool and the gym.

The Nigerian Federation and coaching staff are amazed at the way the energetic midfielder is recuperating very fast, that is better than they earlier thought.

''Ndidi is doing very, very well. He is recovering very well, all the worries are over now,'' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com .

''It is confirmed that he will go to the World Cup. He has not started training on the pitch but he's doing treadmill workouts and swimming exercises.''

Gernot Rohr has identified Ndidi as one of the key players in the Super Eagles squad since he was appointed coach, and handed him starts in all the Super Eagles 2018 World Cup qualifiers apart from the game against Algeria in Uyo.

SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF RUSSIA

TIPS ON HOW TO IMPRESS RUSSIAN MEN ( To whom it may concern) smiley

When looking at Russian men as potential matches, there are a few things you should know. Russian men are slightly easier to impress than Russian women, but they also make much faster judgments about whether or not a woman is right for them – and they can be very dismissive if they decide you’re not the one (and difficult to convince otherwise). Just as is the case for Russian women, there are certain things that Russian men like and even expect from Russian women and would like to see the same in a partner who is not from Russia – although they might never admit it.

If a Russian man has stolen your heart, here are some ways to impress him.

Challenge Him

Russian women can sometimes be headstrong, and while they may complain about it, Russian men like a woman with a strong opinion. So if you have one, don’t be afraid to express it. This doesn’t mean challenging him on everything he says and does of course, but if you disagree with what he’s saying, speak up! Or, if you’re sick of him sitting in front of the TV all day, poke fun at him for it – he’ll find it refreshing and motivate rather than annoying.

Make Him Breakfast

Yes, almost everything that follows from this point is very gendered, but unfortunately, stereotypical gender roles are still alive and well in Russia. Russian men typically show a slight preference for this, even in small, sometimes almost unnoticeable or unexpected ways. One of these ways is that they will really appreciate if you make them breakfast, especially without being asked.

Clean His Room

This sounds strange, and you shouldn’t do it all the time, but if you find yourself in the situation where you’re in his house without him and it’s a mess, and you want to impress him, you should do a little bit of tidying up. This doesn’t mean going through his stuff, but just doing small things like washing the dishes, putting away the video games scattered all over the floor, making the bed, folding any clothes strewn about the place, and so on.

He might not even mention it, or he might act offended, but he will actually be pleasantly surprised.

Let Him Be a Gentleman

Russian men are trained from a young age to be chivalrous, and you shouldn’t fight him too much when he tries to do the same to you. This means letting him pay the bill, letting him carry heavy items (and even ones that you could easily carry yourself), letting him give you his coat when it’s cold, pick the wine, fix stuff around the house, and so on. He’ll appreciate being able to do what he’s used to. This doesn’t mean you have to play an 18th-century damsel in distress, but just allow him to treat you like a lady when he attempts to do so.

Dress Tastefully

Russian women can be a bit over-the-top in their style, and Russian men can either love this or hate it. However you choose to dress, most Russian men will appreciate you looking put together. This could mean something as simple as clean jeans and shoes instead of tattered ones with old sneakers. As long as you try to wear high-quality, clean, neat clothes whether they’re simple or outrageous, it will be appreciated. Russian men have a bit of a distaste for messy looks, due to their upbringing, so doing that little bit to look nice will again help him to feel more at ease.
