Icon4s: But there is the experienced Akpeyi and an Ezenwa who stood in well during the remainder of the WC qualifiers. And Uzoho is a rookie yes... But I think you of all people should ask yourself why a conservative and experienced coach like Rohr (who believes in rhe fine balance of youth and experience and also harps on good experience in his side) still considers Uzoho in the picture of things as regards that GK role. Maybe he knows something we don't? Maybe only he sees something at close quarters that we cannot see from where we are here? I don't know Dad... I am as concermed as you are but then I cannot drain myself with worry. Rohr is on the hotseat. He knows the magnitude of what is up ahead... Some risks will and must be taken on his part. There is something he knows that we probably don't. Some little details that only one at close quarters can pick up. I say we just stay positive and trust his judgments on the team in that role. He is closer and it is his call. He wants to do well and he knows he must do this or that to do well... So trust his experience. He is the coach and have brought the team this far. Frowning will do you no good in the long run... Just be calm... Calm is a super power. I have learnt to use it... Cheer up Dad.. I choose to believe... 1 Like

DrLikita12: My brothers forgive me for this write up but I can't help it The woman is the glory of Man- 1Corinthians 11:7 Beauty and the Beast- French traditional fairy tale. I had read past this and didn't want to talk about it but let me just say this: my point might be misconstrued but I'd say it: if women continue to look at men to get the bearing on how to behave they will become beast. Throughout civilization it is the women who have raised the men up to higher standards of behaviour. Women are the keepers, the holders, women are our redeemers. The woman is the glory of Man. If the one who is the glory decides to become inglorious, there's nothing for men to aspire to. Thats the reason i decry this consciousness seeping in that makes a woman look at the worst in a man and goes ahead to bring out her own inner devil. That is the inner kernel to my writing earlier on. Nigerian women today say: men are bad, therefore we must be bad, they are cheats, therefore we must cheat, they are devils, therefore we must be demons(and of course what a man can do, a woman does better, ). No home has survived such a thinking, no civilization has survived it. Women are the keepers!!!! Our fathers were not better than us, our mothers were only far better than the men. Women hold men to higher standards. Men behave crudely(not justifying it but merely stating a fact) . Women refine them. If the women choose to say 'okay I'm done, I'm tired', believe me that's the end both for the men and the women. Fighting a man with beastly behaviour, with nastiness has never worked. Fire for fire takes us all to hell. It is the nobility of a woman's spirit that's lifts a man from the crudities of his behaviour and inspires him to fineness of soul. That's why I detest crude women with mouth full of cursing cos with such a woman everything leads down to the infernal depths- no hope, no future with such a woman. This is what one of my most beloved Catholic writers Bishop Fulton Sheen (back when I was in religion but I still love Sheen) said:when a man loves a woman, HE HAS TO BECOME WORTHY OF HER. The higher the virtue, the more noble her character, the more devoted she is to truth, justice and goodness, the more a man has to aspire to be worthy of her. THE HISTORY OF CIVILIZATION COULD ACTUALLY BE WRITTEN IN TERMS OF THE LEVEL OF ITS WOMEN If in the name of feminism you guys want to join us in the gutter, welcome then. If women forget that they are Beauty and instead of bringing out the Prince in men decide to become beasts themselves we are all done for. Instead of one beast with the possibility of becoming a Prince, we will have two beast with no hope for either. Who drives corruption in Nigeria, who do the yahoo boys dupe people for? Who do the thieves, drug pushers, wheelers and dealers lavish the money they steal on? I swear down let all the women agree and say No we do not agree to so and so behaviour, watch and see (it might not be immediately but over time) if the men will not double down and rise to the heights the women set for them.(on the positive side who do men write ballads, songs, deep inspiring poetry for? Who motivates them to die for kith and kin, in war in battle?) Now to feminism:feminism is a a communist pysch-op. Yes. (please you can go to henrymakow.com and read the articles there) Go back and read the history of feminism. Gloria Steinam, Betty Friedan, Simone de Beavoir who wrote major text for second wave feminist movement were all communist. What's the overriding purpose? The end is the destruction of the family. And who do you think the propagators of this agenda sought to bring into their ideology? Women!! The keepers!!! Once they get the keepers to abdicate their place everything will collapse. It's classical knowledge(devil got to eve first abi) that once you take out the women, the men are pap. That's why when I see a woman fight to be treated with dignity and respect, I join her. But once she starts spouting feminist bull crap I just laugh. Naturally I hate all isms, all belief systems, all ideologies and feminism is no exception. My writing this morning had a background and this is just a tip of it.Cheers Drlikita12 (curious - this your 12 stands for? ) 5 Likes |

Hahaha just like airing “change begins with me” jingles. Typical approach. You ask question with a view to finding answers. You ask questions with willingness to drop a preconceived notion, with a view to modifying your beliefs or knowledge. A whole different approach. Not a negative, nit-picking, whining approach. forgiveness: |

Exactly. And we don't even need this friendly match, IMHO. The boys just concluded a very long season, we should give them a couple of weeks to recuperate then the team should camp in London (or somewhere in Europe); play all our friendly games in Europe and proceed to Russia from there. All this idea of playing a game in Nigeria so they'd get a proper "send off" doesn't make a lot of sense to me. After all, in 2014 we went to Brazil directly from the United States. O pari Joebie: |

Martz101: Look, if he cannot face criticisms then he is not ready as a SE Goalkeeper. If you know he is that feeble minded why canvass for him? Do you know the weight of responsibility resting on a goalkeeper at a WC? You think it is just about staying on the line and "paring" balls. You saw how uncoordinated and destabilized Uzoho was in our last two friendlies. Goal keepers improve over years and not just within weeks. I just pray we have not shot ourselves on the foot already in that department. We are taking a very huge gamble, I hope you know that. I personally do not feel comfortable with gambles. |

Icon79: England almost always? Lol They either do or they dont! 2002 World Cup: England Argentina Sweden and Nigeria was easy? 2014 world cup: England Italy Uruguay Costa Rica was easy? Wonderful! The host nation in theory should always have an easier group than they perhaps may have had because they are placed in pot A alongside most of the favourites. 1 Like |

Feminism is what is destroying the black americans family because the white man knows very well that once you crush the structures of family the society is ruined and the easiest way to do that is to penetrate the feeble mind of the woman and the job is done. 99% of the women championing this feminism agenda are black women and vast majority are black americans. Same black american women are raising thugs and gangsters while they blame their men for being dead beat fathers. The scary part of it is that Nigerian women are beginning to behave just like these black americans....The institution of marriage in Nigeria is collapsing and our girls are popping babies for random guys just for a wad of cash. Baby mamas are celebrated and girls openly discuss their sexual escapades because according to Chimamanda Adichie ''if men can do it so is women'' ,after all ''men and women are equal''. This is coming from an educated women...Very shocking . I raised 2 sisters in school but I made them understand there are better ways of winning a mans heart than fighting his authority. 1 Like 1 Share |

Actually, that England group in 2002 was comparatively a very easy group. The goal was for England to qualify behind Argentina. FIFA knew that the Nigerian team was in disarray and nothing much was expected from them. The 2002 Sweden World Cup wasn't one to scare nobody. Zlatan was young and inexperienced. Freddie Ljungberg was a little above average player. Henrik Larsson - average. ON paper, who do they really have exactly to challenge England? O pari wayodude: |

The other day I was having a marital discussion with a black american woman and I asked her what would she do if her husband cheats on her and she said she 'd ffuck all his husbands friends ....That feminism 101 as thought by Chimamanda and her co feminists....If a man can do ot why cant you, they actually want to be like men...classy! |
