It was here some folks were arguing that at worst Martial will make squad as a substitute in Russia even when we were saying his place on the team isn't sure...
Back then we were critical of Mourinho's decision to give Smalling an ended run of games to increase his chances of making the England squad even though Southgate had openly said he doesn't consider Smalling capable of playing for him as he was too shaky, we appealed that same favor should be extended to Martial since he had a host of talented players in contention for the LWF position of France (Rojo and Rashford don't fall in this category because their respective national teams are not blessed with players good enough to challenge their place in the squad) but Mourinho turned a blind eye and instead opted for Sanchez who isn't going to the Mundial.
As much as I think Deschamp is a joke and his selection is wide off the mark, Mourinho didn't help or show any bias to the Martial course.

I see him leaving, if not next season, maybe the one after that. He can't play any other position but the LW and with Sanchez around, he's going to be on the bench. The AM that Mourinho might play Sanchez in to give Marital chance on the LW, Mourinho plays Pogba there when he wants to go for defensive football with 2 DMs, or even Lingard there when he wants to play Mata on the wings.
