He build a site which only spent 7 days online...
The next thing I kept seeing is "your site is under
construction " I made effort to reach him
severally, he stopped picking 'my calls and my
whatsapp messages remained unanswered.

Right from the on-set, I showed you samples of sites that are similar to the work I was given you, I had to dropped most of the features and gave you just 3.

I bought and hosted the sight myself, you told me you are okay with the price that it will be ready within 7 days, I waited for more than 2 weeks. And the site goes off just after you told it's ready.

What happened to the missed calls I gave you? Not to talk of the messages, both whatsapp and line messages.

I would say you give him more time and to the developer, he is a client even if you had agreed 1k, it was your choice regardless of whatever resources you used so he needs to briefed and try not to ignore his calls next time, give him your available hours.

I appreciate your view, the work is 6 weeks & some days now, this is a site i already started advertising. Apart from that, what of the domain & hosting expiring date that is fast approaching?.

I kept reminding him of all these.

He has my bank details, If there are other lucrative jobs taken up his time, why not send back the money.

So i could give to someone that is less busy..

Please don't complain about the price if you agreed on it, as long as he did not add more job for you. Don't accept to do more than what was agreed, if you decide to do more. If you decide to do more, then explain to your client. Explain to them if you need more timew to wrap things up. Don't ignore their calls, unless you've just spoken with them and they still disturbs you.
I usually tell my new clients to put things in writing so i can refer to it later, either the y send email or send message through the social media.
Also immediately you are done with the website and upload it for them and they confirms it and everything looks fine. Let them change their admin password, unless you've work together for a long time and have some cool relationships, where you can access their website dashboard anytime. If they change something on their website after then and something goes wrong with the website, you will charge them to have it fixed, unless is all your fault or you want to help them out base of relationship. Some developers do give out like a month to take care of the website for free if anything goes wrong depending on the agreement or the type of project and payment.
Usually, a working website don't stop working unless there was a change made to the website, to the backends or browser displaying it etc, there is usually something that causes the website to stop working.

Tell him the time you need to fix things up.

When you said codes, I thought you were building from scratch bro but what I saw there is just a wordpress and which shouldn't have crashed cos you took a theme and modified it.

one thing about a web design job is to be transparent. if the job is to setup 3 page with agreed payment of 12k, and the owner decided to add more pages and features, then you have every right to charge more if necessary but if the agreement is made and you have not done half of it, then you need to work on the project because you both agreed.

while checking the site, I noticed you imported the theme data and it is really making the job more difficult to get done. this is why I often advice designers not to import theme data while working live. theme data can be done on demo via localhost to test run the theme and get familiar with it so you can then use it on the live site without importing the data.

the site in question seems like a mobile data service. just get in touch with the site owner to resolve issue. you shouldn't have taken the job if you don't have chance to get it done.
