Personally, I have decided not to view the videos (genuine & edited) of IGP's speech which his detractors have been using against him but few minutes ago, I received a musical video from a friend in the US on this same issue. The IGP is fighting a spiritual & political fight. In 2016 when the President's health first failed seriously, I posted on nairaland about the CCT issue threatening Saraki's Senate presidency and the Ilorin Alfas. Last year also, I said the same thing just before he left for the long medical break. During his sickness period, the RCCG Holy Ghost Theme was "Abba Father". While naturally, the IGP is under pressure considering his position & may not have time to proof read a speech written by a senior officer who is grossly incompetent, there is an element of a spiritual attack which MFM church called ' Spirit of error' at work. I visited some offices on the island, it is the IGP's transmission's blunder that was constantly used as jokes, while in other offices, nothing like that. I observed those offices where transmission has become the new joke have affiliations to those that benefitted immensely from GEJ government, while the offices where there was no such joke or even discussion at all are companies whose owners are from the same geographical axis with IGP or with political support for PMB. Under this scenario, PMB will not remove IGP, because the feud between IGP & the Senate has made the 2018 budget to be passed & accelerated passage of two other bills after Omo-Agege & Diino saga. The IGP should be very vigilant to avoid another error. 2 Likes |

If Idris does not receive full punishment for all the killings by Herdsmen, then it means there is no Divine Justice. He may be shield from prosecution now by Buhari, but he can't be protected forever. |

I hope Nigerians especially our youths could support PMB in the corruption fight and secure him the seat in the 2019 election. PMB second time would be solely for imprisonment of the massive looters and many of his mighty and hidden projects will be manifested, this man of integrity is on a mission to fight and reduce corruption to the minimal and this has been a huge worry for our nation destroyer. All this concocted and sponsored story of IGP being incompetent is just a distraction and empty noise from the so called heavy looters who only want him removed. 3 Likes |

The story is not far fetched. The IGP single handedly garnered and contributed additional 1 million fictitious votes in Kano when he was the CP then. The killing of the INEC REC in and family in Kano had also remained an unravelled mistry. Romour has it that it was he refusal to absorbed the additional 1 million fictitious votes that resulted to the burning of his house and killing him and his family under police watch. He was however compensated with the IG position no wonder more than 21 AIGs were forcefully retired to make room for his emergence! His larger than life attitude and his many anomallies could be traced to these facts here above. The IGP is practically above the law! May God help Nigeria..! 1 Like |

It's so unfortunate what Nairaland has become. You come here and all you get to read is the submission of paid agents of politicians and I mean the selfish and bad politicians, who have only succeeded in using their position to Impoverish us. These agents tactfully target the mind of the undiscerning and simple ones, trying to sway their reasoning and make them align with theirs. Their moniker changes but their position about important national issues is the same -Hate. No objectivity! Can somebody please tell me what good Saraki or Dino has done in this govt that the IG should be axed because he dared to stand up to them? Or isn't the legislature part of the govt anymore? Dear Nairaland youth, you are intelligent and not lazy. The present govt has fared badly and we deserve and must get something better come 2019, but let's be careful who we allow to control our mind online, so they don't lead us astray again. 1 Like |

Hmmm, since he's refused to obey the executive and legislative highest authorities, who do you think he would listen to? They have all made a mockery of Nigeria governance with their unclean hands. Now everyone appears to be holding at least one trump card against the other. It can only be well with this country. If only the killer herdmens abi their other Bornu cousins could be really patriotic and target the deserving targets, we will know all that remains is to start from the beginning like we did when God himself intervened in the era of Abacha. Until then, that guy is not going anywhere until he retires, he resigns of his own accord or the authorities completely change. Fasten your sit belt buddy...its gonna be a long ride. 1 Like 1 Share |

President Muhammadu Buhari says he has done no wrong by giving political appointments to his “long-suffering” associates who have been with him since his days at the All Progressives Party (APP) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC). https://www.thecable.ng/buhari-done-nothing-wrong-appointing-trusted-hands-app-cpc-days/amp The man appointed those like him thereforr can a man condemn himself. Retiring him or any of his ministers or appointee will be tantamount to passing a vote of no confidence on himself. We have not yet forgotten how long it took for him to setup this best team according to him. So for this reason he cannot do anything to any of them but for us observing we can only see the type of terrible human being Bubu is. If his best selection are men of such calibre. SMH for this government. |

NOETHNICITY: Imagine, it's now his turn and IGP is no more competent and also a lazy reader. I don't even know what Nigerian youths want, they said PMB is selective in his fight, now his party members are in trouble, their tone has now been changed to witch hunting of the challenger. Who are the challenger and what are they challenging? Are they fighting for the masses or their personal interest? what has been their achievement in the past 16years? Are they truly for the masses? These are the questions we should be asking. 1 Like |

Our problem in Nigeria is that we report and comment with sentiments-the president appoints the IG with confirmation of the Senate-other ministers can be summoned as you like not the service chiefs whose appointments are just approved by the presidency without any rigouroius exercise like other ministers. The Nigeria constitution does not make it compulsory for the IG to come to the Senate. However he can appear bfr the house if it is necessary to do so- In my humble opinion both the Senate and the IG need to change their attitude.First the Senate wants the IG to come primarily because of Dino melaye's matter-What is the business of the Senate with Dino Melaye? Is he above the law? How many times has the senate called the IG to come and explain why police are collecting #50 on the road? How many times have they called the IG to come and explain issues of stray bullets in Nigeria?is Dino the first Nigerian to be taken to court in a wheel chair or stretcher? Why the noise about his case? No wonder the IG replied the Senate and described them as people who want to pervert justice in their own interest-The Nigerian house is filled with people who are after their daily bread not the interest of the common man.The IG even replied their letter of invitation deciding to send one of the AIG s to the hoiuse-The senate did not allow him.why not listening to the AIG first and if not satisfied you reinvite the IG himself?-On the other hand, even though the constitution does not make the IG accountable to the House he should have come in the interest of democracy. This is an area for the IG to make adjustment-Strict adherence to the black and white document does not end matter at times-Finally we should know that it is only the President who can remove the IG any times any day as he wants not the Senate. This is the time for Nigerians to wake up and stop having pity for the politicians who care less for the common man on the road. .all their interest is to amass wealth for themselves everyday- |

Front0line: My point exactly! It's ironical you had to bring tribal sentiments to reinforce my point. They were either fired, made to retire or simply removed not just because they were found wanting but because the call for their removal was thickening (the administration listened). For balance sake let me throw in Tafa Balogun, Michael Aondoakaa (they are not Ibos abi?) and other examples. And FYI Stella Odua wasn't indicted (except there's another meaning) neither am I ibo (another daft point of argument) 1 Like |

EFFRAKATA: Go back to the record and check who takes lead when it comes to kano presidential election. PMB do not need to bribe anybody before he could flawlessly defeat opposition in kano, he has a very strong fan base. Despite obj popularity in the north, he found it so difficult to defeat him kano, same goes to yaradua and Jonathan. |

ubergold:state one offence of the current IGP, don't tell me because he didn't appear before the senate, that was babyish, because the core reason of his invitation was Dino melaye, no responsible IG will honor such invitation. Those past ministers you mentioned were involved in vicious corruptions. Stop being mischievous in confusing issues. |
