Wrong. By 1996, Multichoice, currently DSTV was in lots of homes beaming live games from most top leagues around the World including Europe and South America.

By 1997, cable satellite dishes were rampant in Port Harcourt. I do not know of other areas. Hot live games had people trooping in mass to different homes to catch their favorite teams and players.

I watched Atlanta 96 finals in my neighbors house on Multichoice. Watched the FA Cup final between Liverpool and Manchester United I think that same year on Multichoice live.

I don't think you're getting the point.

Every game is for two hours. If your husband is away for 12 hours, you can only account for two-four hours tops (they use flight), what about the other 8-10 hours?

Your popular, rich husband is not with you half a day and not visible to you for 8 hours? That is different from if you were married to a civil servant. It is not the same level of panic at all. A civil servant isn't popular and is mostly not assumed to be richer than a footballer

I would rather marry a civil servant or someone who works in a multinational company, but basically, a man who isn't in the spotlight where everyone can see him

Marrying a footballer can be mental torture at some point. You see pictures of him with some girls at a club after an away game (cuz he must party with his boys), do you know how that feels?

Jobs are different and some are simply safer than others in a marriage. Work is not work

A cheating husband don't need to be out to cheat, a civil servant can do it with his colleague and even a business man having his shop just around home can do it with his client. blame it on the man not the job

I am not even saying he will cheat, but women tend to be very paranoid and I already stated that "the mere suspicion is heartbeeaking".

Most homes did not have satellite TVs in the 1990s. All the champions league games I watched back then in Lagos was on AIT. I don't think any station showed EPL games live.

To add to the Brazil vs Holland game which had the Kluivert brilliant equalizing header.

Ronald de Boer played on the right wing and he was up against the second best player in the World, Roberto Carlos. When Ronald went against Carlos, we saw one of the greatest decimation of a wing back. Ronald de Boer skinned and dribbled Roberto Carlos repeatedly and put in repeated crosses to Kluivert that it became embarrassing. Towards the end, the Brazilian coach, Mario Zagallo decided to alter things to kill two birds with a stone. One was to save their one goal lead and another, stop the repeated embarrassment of Roberto Carlos by Ronald.

He advised Carlos to forget about marking Ronald de Boer and go to the post to defend Kluivert's deadly headers. Carlos obeyed but it became a big mistake.

With Ronald de Boer having room to pick his cross without having to skin Carlos first, he crossed a brilliant, accurate cross to Kluivert who buried the ball in between the legs of the same Roberto Carlos. That goal sent thrills all over the World.
Ohhh my goodjoe, Reading this was as if you were playing guitar inside my soul. I see before my mind's eye, Kluivert's legs spread apart as he rose to meet that delicious pass and flick it into the net. I still remember where I went to watch that match. Unfortunately Holland lost during the Pk.

Holland won 2-1, Lopez and kluivert had earlier traded goals. 98 is still my best World Cup till date, tho I was still too young to enjoy football in 94. Germany 2006 too wasn't bad, Tho Nigeria failed to qualify, 2002 is the worst, too many upset and plenty ojoro in favour of Korea, 2010 had lots of stalemate and low scoring games bar Germany who set it alight with their all attacking game. the last one in Brazil was OK too, the top teams came to the party and there were goals. I hope 2018 will be exciting to watch.
2014 had more goals than any other. Let's see how things will unfold in Russia.

Steve Bruce the Aston Villa coach who bought Moses odubajo from Brentford during his time at Hull, wants to work with odubajo once again, odubajo's contract with Hull runs out this summer. If Aston Villa overcomes Fulham in the qualification race, they we probably would be having two of our RBs plying their trade in the EPL come next season.

I hope this deal pulls through because Moses odubajo is quality. I will also like Aina to join a team like southampton on loan next season if he failed to break into Chelsea's first team.

Have a glance at our RBs and the probables if things turned out as expected post Russia ;

Ebuehi Benfica
Aina EPL
Odubajo EPL
Ehizibue Bundesliga
Nura Roma

Football America that they normally show at 10-11pm on Wednesdays. Those were not live games.

I can't remember watching live premiership games on Saturdays back then. I think we only had review shows.
