That Chukwueze could turn out to be Nigeria s best LEFT FOOT ATTACKER in history the way he is going...better than Friday Elahor....He seems to have some finesse about him.. Amuneke was an action attacker cum winger...Elahor had flair...but this guy..Chukwueze..left footer, attacking from the right...is something else..almost sumptous 1 Like |

Relax my good man... Let him keep growing... He is indeed an outstanding quality young talent. From his 2015 U-17 exploits, it is so obvious in his plays that a robben may have just been reborn. He reminds me of Robben so much but I also see drops of a few other left footed geniuses in his style of play. In the end, he will grow to be Chukwueze Samuel. gamaliel9: |

Icon4s: I was always Nigeria. And I made the WC final in my hood every damn time. The only time I lost the title in the final... Was to my elder brother who was France that year. Goal was scored by a counter top with the name "Thierry Henry" Table soccer, also called "Bottle tops league" in my hood because we could play it on large or good wide-sized tables, flat rug surfaces, concrete grounds and even carpet-covered floors, was one of my very favorite pastimes as a kid when not reading from my mum's library or watching Cadbury breakfast show(usually after chores is done) or all those Saturday football shows or even best of football on Sundays on NTA. I was never tired of winning... I played to trash opponents. I didn't give a damn... I just love how winning makes one feel... 1 Like

10th hmmm... That's still a round of 16 finish. They don't see us in top 8 obviously. I have a funny feeling about this 2018 edition. The pundits' scripts won't be followed to the very last dot... In fact, most of it MAY be torn to shreds. tbaba1234: |

The stadiums are scanty now compare to what we have before, you see guys then in Basketball court,Track and field, table tennis, boxing arena, handball, volleyball and football fields doing massive training especially during weekends. Now they are in clubs jamming WizKids and Davido songs '30 billions in my account 'wey no dey but fictiius' if Yahoo yahoo no gel, then kidnapping and robbery. Most of Taiwo Awoniyi's mates that started the game with him are into yahoo yahoo, blasting music up and down and wasting away. 1 Like |

realpoacher: Sir Realest poacher.... What I see here mostly are Men of Olds from different Oldies timelines.... Unlike "boys" or 90s kids abi na indomie generation lads like myself whose first full WC was 2002 Korea/Japan France 98, me was just 6 and followed it without much interest. I only saw some games especially Nigeria's and the final because my dad did. I was just one year away from being infected with the football bug. And so it happened in 1999... I stumbled upon an archive of Great sporting and football events kept in organised formats by my elder brother in different files in his famed hideout.... That day, I was infected and my serendipity began for me a journey into the beautiful game at age 7. It had been brilliant since then.... I still have that child-like wonder from time to time as regards football. But mehn... Reading Asha80, Mujtahida, Tbaba1234, Icon4s all talk about their good old days when Dad and Mum never even meet na real wire..... To make matters worst, Elder Kog45 dropped hints say him watch 1982 WC. Meaning Baba saw 1980 Afcon and Maybe Elder Enomakos saw 1976 Afcon... Mehn... I have always known that we get Super Elders and Youngie Elders for hia but mehn.... I never even call Sir TheGoodJoe, Sir Joebie and others who I spot... All fall into various grades of the Elders classifications... The youngie Elders, The Middle age Elders, The Grand elders, The Super Grand Elders... And the Elites (those who possibly saw the 1950-1970 WC editions and watch from above on this thread and will never ever drop a comment... I mean like never!) Una don fully expose unaseleves this weekend.. And I look around and I be like... "Wetin give me mind bikonu to stand where dese men dem dey stand for football discussions sef?" Thanks goodness say I get fellow 90s kids like Safarigirl, Sir Humility017, and a few others for hia... The likes of Maidaboi and Abusule007 dey give me hope at least... Good to know I get younger siblings here... And Hey! E be like say Elyte89 follow for the younger siblings sef... Bia I read your confession too ooo... Hehehehehehe.... It is all good... All these timelines in our football experiences provide a fine solid bridge we can all walk on anytime either for a visit to the past or into recent times or for a glance into the future while keeping eyes on the present..... It's like a family cutting across different times. 5 Likes 2 Shares
