It's now exactly 3 year that I lost my very dear friend Opeyemi Fashola aka Gr8ever (May 20th, 2015) but exactly four years that you got your US student visa. (May 20th, 2014).

Opeyem Fashola aka Gr8ever, am thinking about those days but at the same time I imagine how I went bitter for a whole day and how the struggling dictate, my brother we really set the pace and we all came in to scale through the big gate of SAT where I met you in person for the first time.

I must let the whole world know that I and others on this thread miss you and every moment we spent together especially on every first Saturday of the every month...

Rest in perfect peace

Now I see you in a better place (see you in a better)

In WIZ KHALIFA song.

It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.
We've come a long way from where we began, Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again
(Hey)
Now I see you in a better place (see you in a better)

An so sorry for the loss, may Almighty God forgive him his sins. Rest in peace bro

Good day everybody, Please I'll need your assistance. I've seen the way you guys in nairaland have helped a lot of people to successfully get their visas approved after their interview. I'm a 17 year old boy with a full ride scholarship to McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana for the fall 2018 semester. During my previous interview on the 24th of April, I was denied but I'll apply again soon. I am also planning to join Education USA, do you think that would help?

Good day bro...has your VISA been approved yet?

Please could you walk me though on how you got the scholarship?

Hi guys, I have my interview in a few days. My sponsor is my uncle and he has the sufficient money he intend to use to fund my grad studies in his Stanbic IBTC Money Market Funds which can be withdrawn within 24hours. Will this be a sufficient proof of funding for the visa interview?

If not, can I take both his salary account(without the complete amount on my i20) and this Money Market Fund statement to show his capability to fund my studies.

I look forward to your response.

I just want to be sure since some people have posted stuff on liquid fund.

Thanks guys.

Pleasewho can help with an answer to this.

Good morning gurus in the house, I have been a silent reader on this forum and this is my first post here. I want a critique of my proposed transcript at the embassy which is coming soon. I am going for early childhood education at east Tennessee State University. I understand that the most important part of interviews is the explanation about the course of study and the reason for choosing that particular school, so I'll be focusing on those two in order to save time.
Vo: why etsu
Me: Etsu is a very welcoming school and it's one of the few schools with department solely devoted to early childhood education (it's on their website) in the whole of US which makes a destination school for anyone who wants quality education. I believe these put together will help prepare me for the challenges ahead after school.

Vo: what will ece do for you
Me: A masters degree in early childhood education would improve my competence level with the combination of my years of experience as a teacher and the right skills set to shape and influenced the lives of children in order for them to have a healthy adult life.
@walspring, @the American and other ogas, help me critique and give your general opinion about the school. Thanks.

Good day All.

How do I go about filling the health report form for graduate students.

Are there hospitals that are specialists in handling this or I should walk into any hospital?

I am based in Lagos.

Thank you.

@John9912, well done. Please add the other transcripts.

From the one above, I can see that you did not convince the VO on why Biology. You should come up with stronger reasons especially that you're 300l already.

Another question that might come after you scale the above is why dumping the present course at 300l to go start afresh in the US.

These are my thoughts, put out the balance of the transcripts and wait for the more experienced guys to advice.

I know you don't want to hear this but save your money, no point wasting money for the 5th time. Sometimes its not how you answer question but your situation play a part in the decision. You are in 300l already and biology is 4years if I remember correctly. Finish up your undergraduate in Nigeria and apply for a masters in the US afterwards.

His friend is just a student basically recommending the school because he goes to that same school. If you are a prospective masters student you should be able to make your decisions after taking an array of diifferent factors into consideration not just one persons recommendation. That speaks low of your person because you just go with what any friend says without making your own research amd deciding whats good for you.

Friends can recommend rubbish so really that doesn't mean anything ..... a serious student even if someone tells you a school is the greatest , the word of mouth isn't enough for you to choose a school . It can be a start but never a good enough reason

A serious student would spend time researching about the school , the program , the opportunities and see if it fit.

From your transcript yes I can see the VO cut afodam247 , off so maybe he or she had planned to go more indepth

Good day folks.

I had my B.Tech in Chemistry and I want to apply for an MBA in VIU this fall.

I'm making arrangements of the necessary documents since the school has requested ALL documents be uploaded on my portal.

There is a problem though. I need to submit two recommendation letters alongside my application and from what i gathered, since it wont be sent tl the school by email, the letter better be in a letterhead.

I intend asking my project supervisor to write one on my behalf whilst I Need your help for the other one.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

It seems the era of 2013 is back here, why would you want to study a course like MBA at VIU? Why would you even want to attend a school like VIU? IMean dream big, a man that has no dream is a dead man. I know its not my business but its only fair people advice you, whether you take the advice is left to you and only you. At least try to learn from other people's experience. You know what, I wont say much just type VIU in the nairaland search bar and read for yourself.
