So this argument came up in my office today. Even though most guys there were indifferent about the issue, some claim they are cool with it provided the money doesn't enter her head by preventing her from doing her homely responsibility. Other guys said a blatant NO to it. That is they don't pray for their wives to be richer than them because it will bring pride and disrespect. As to the ladies present there, most said they will still be loyal and supportive to their husbands if they happen to be richer while the remaining ladies said they prefer their husbands to be richer than them. So nairaland ladies and gentlemen, air your views about this issue. |

Ladies it’s money it’s not extra life. Being richer than ur hubby doesn’t mean the wife should disrespect him. Especially if he’s working, loving caring n not lazy. U are just more privileged than him in that aspect. |

Well to be richer than my spouse has always been one of my dreams, so I'll say I'm kinda acquainted with the feeling, and its gonna be awesome, not that I'll put him under lock and key and such, nor would i not submit to him, but he's got to know that i got my own thing going and i ain't about to become a full time housewife, I've got choices and his attitude would determine the choices i make, simple ofcourse most men would feel paranoid and insecure like maybe you slept your way to the top but who cares?Marriage ain't a do or die affair or an achievement, making a good home is, I'll just make sure he knows what's on the table before tying the knot, i cannot come and be nursing one jealous overgrown baby in the name of husband, bottomline is, he has to be richer than me, if you know you know  |
