Akchi32:You do not need to write extensively about your previous refusal. They already have details of your refusal. However, you must answer yes on the application form to the question of having been refused a permit or visa before. Your SOP can include how you have responded to the previous refusal issue in a paragraph or two with exactitude. Also, make sure the documents submitted in support of your application or claim(s) speak more for you than what is written. UCI: Unique Client identifier. harde116: Hahaha... This really cracked me up. Almost as if CIC knows that you were checking everyday. Well let me guess. You applied on 22nd April? This is a norm. As long as you have checked the option "I would like to receive monthly updates about my application" in you application profile, you will continue to receive that email every month (until a decision is made on your application). |

Please gurus in the house... How long does it take to receive visa rejection/refusal message from IRCC. Will it still take the 8weeks processing time to get it or it comes earlier? Also, would it be a red flag to apply for a study permit to study for a professional program without paying a dim for school as my acceptance letter states that i must have a study permit before i can pay my registration fee and register for my courses. I attach this document to my online submitted application on the 13th of April 2018 but yet to receive any update on my status. Thanks |

Austinpee4: Just to clarify, in my second application attempt, does that mean that I will be able to link the file online with the existing one (i.e. the one I created during my first application)? Please for somebody who was previously refused Visa and wants to link the application online, what will be the process to link the application online? |

originally: @originally, congratulations on your admission. I’m sure i will be saying another congrats to you in two months time. kindly ensure that you put up a good application. Be clear on your purpose of visit, ties to home country, assets if you have any, your parents property can help. Also ensure your previous study/ current job is in line with the Current program, explain all gaps, share your travel history (if you don’t have one, share the travel history of you family members that obeyed their visa conditions), share your after study plan and make sure you finances are adequate and the sources are clear. Pay part tuition if the funds are available or tell your sponsor to transfer sufficient funds to you. Ensure you explain every major lodgement. You can use sub headings for each point on your SOP. It is clearer that way. Back every statement on your SOP with clear documents. Lastly pray, pray and continue to pray Come back here in two months to share your testimony. See you in Halifax 1 Like |

Hello House, Please who has had an experience with Niagara college, I just received my admission letter to study human resources management (1year graduate course). In the letter, it was not stated whether I need to make an initial deposit kind of. It was only stated that I should confirm my acceptance before so so date with no conditions attached to the offer of admission. And that I will need a study permit prior to the start of the program. Lastly, I studied finance and all my past work experiences have been all finance related. Now I am changing pata-pata. Pls advice oo |

chisiudeh:chisiudeh, Considering that you've already quit your current job as at January and you've not been working since then. CIC wants to know what you've been doing for the past 10years till date. Presenting to them on file that you don't have something doing for the past 5 months since you last left your previous job, you're indirectly asking them to refuse your application based on 1-) Current employment situation, 2-) Limited employment prospects in country of residence. 3-) Personal assests and financial status and 4-) Purpose of visit. To avoid this, It will be best you include the details of your previous employment while filling the IMM1294 form and also try acquire a new employment letter from a company to cover your 5 months gaps that will be directly related to your intended program. All the best! |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 7:42pm On May 22, 2018 |
obajoey: Thebushboy is actually correct! The bolded words already flags your application to be refused based on purpose of visit. Why changing to a program that is not reasonable inlight with your previous studies and current professional career (job role)? That's a big hurdle for you! Advice: Simply go back and secure an admission that is related to finance, then apply for your visa. |
