Nothing like embarrassment my brother. It isn't necessary we play the biggest team. It is not a feel good game neither is it a peer game.

Last time we had something like that was Kano Pillars V Portsmouth

The league quality is not the same. Our teams are poor now. Better to get the best local players and fringe pros. That way, you get a decent display.

Have you watched our continental games?

That so called A Team topped the toughest group in African WC qualifying history without breaking a sweat. You cannot compare the cohesion and quality of the A team to the B and C teams ever... Haba!

Let us not be carried away oooo... Maybe it is because some of you don't seem to understand that we indeed have fine talents scattered all over who aren't even in the A Team yet.

Here we go.
Must we all hype the players and close our eyes to their faults before we're all deemed to be on the same page?
I take nothing away from the first team. They're real good and on their day can match most teams in word football. However when it doesn't happen, how much individual talent can we rely on as a get-out-of-jail-free card?

If Usman had lost the ball for that second goal, he would have rightfully been queried for not taking it first time.

I remember Usman holding the ball up for a long time in the midfield before eventually passing. You can't do that in a competitive game.

Okocha did the same thing in Germany.

Guys please let us NOT overanalyze this game or make it bigger than it is. It's purely a training ground game for Athletico Madrid. If you critically review the game you'll realize that Athletico Madrid could score whenever they feel like it. Anytime we score, they would just raise it up a notch and equalize. And once the game start drawing to the end, they promptly scored the winning goal.

Don't get me wrong, the boys played well ... all things considered, but you gotta realize that they played against a team that was going on vacation and just wanted to entertain the fans.

All I am saying is: Perspectives guys .... perspectives!

O pari
Scored anytime they felt like. Very true Bro.

But Messi, Salah and co do this in their various clubs, countries..
You mean they dance atilogwu around one player five times before scoring?
Does Salah even dribble that much?
Haba.

Well said Jare... And well said too Elyte89 and BascoVanVeli on that Usman goal.

If na messi and Ronaldo do same thing now, no one will start harping on the players depending on flair too much bla bla bla....

Abeg... The fact is Usman scored a most beautiful goal. A goal that anyone will watch again and again and again and will still get electrocuted by its magic. GBAM!

lexyman:

he dribbled him 3 times, the guy even faced his keeper , and still spread his leg in the wrong direction , thinking that Usman will play the ball in that direction ... Usman deserves some accolades for that brilliant performance .

Okay, Kenya that organized Hull to play with one of their league club were happy to expose them? Or you compare Kenyan clubs to npfl?

C'mon quit the sentiments. Seeds don't grow in the farmers pouch

Seems you forgot that LMC took NPFL xi to spain last season for preseason games and they didn't really do too badly. played like 4 different La liga clubs or even more. remember the set of players that were present then weren't as young and flexible as this set?

You talked down on their cohesion and even said that the B-team trumped them in the cohesion dept. This is even more like our C-team to be honest and we were good on the overall but our defending was catastrophic. I am only calling your attention to the error in your comparison between the team today and the team that are truly called the Super Eagles.... The team that qualified us for the worlds.

So it is not hype. It is simply the truth. Just deal with it.

Okocha did the same thing in Germany.

Okocha coach told him that if he missed that chance, he would have confined him to the bench as long as he was coach.

The thing just tire me abeg. I wish y'all could see what is in my heart, the passion I support the Eagles with.
It doesn't negate the fact that our team is inferior to at least 2 of the three teams in our group.
