Humility017: The team played like they have been put together for years while the A team played those friendlies like they were were quickly put together at the stadium car park a couple of hours before the game. 2 Likes 1 Share |

BascoVanVeli: You’re entitled to enjoy whatever you enjoy. However, football is not just about tricks and flicks. It’s also a game of purpose, and okocha’s game was purposeless...which was reflected in the way his career turned out in the end 4 Likes 1 Share |

Thomas Partey.... He was so damn annoying today! He even wanted to take out the "blokus" of Eduok (or rather Dayo Ojo) with that rough kick of the ball to his perineal area.... So rough and heartless today, he was.... Honestly!!! At times I felt like doing this to partey!!! Roasting his ass with lightening strikes... 2 Likes

Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali's outstanding display in the 3-2 loss to Atlético de Madrid in a friendly on Tuesday evening got Super Eagles fans talking. Apart from netting a very beautiful opening goal from outside the box, the former Flying Eagles skipper's dazzling skills were put on display in Uyo and Atlético Madrid's Ghana international Thomas Partey resorted to being aggressive in order to stop him. Though Super Eagles fans have questioned the decision to omit Kelechi Nwakali from Nigeria's 30-man preliminary World Cup roster, he still has a chance of playing in the tournament, only if one of the 23 players heading to Russia suffers an injury. Here's what the Super Eagles fans said about the performance of Kelechi Nwakali : @J_asmineA : ''If they can take him to world cup seff.. Add kelechi Nwakali remove anyone''. @BoniqqUmoh : ''I have always clamoured for Kelechi Nwakali's invitation to the Super Eagles, dude is class...way better than most of our current midfielders...@thenff pls talk to Rohr, that's Mikel's heir apparent ryt there,am trembling, saw hs sublime passes & screamer?''. @AObilana : ''Hmmmm the highlight of Kelechi Nwakali goal I just watched is giving me joy. What if this young man gets on the world cup list ahead of Ihenacho or Iwobi?'' @ujagadom : ''Kelechi Nwakali ought to be in Rohr's @thenff #Russia2018 list''. @jayson_1010 : ''Shuld be in the WC list!!! Classic goal Great performance #SuperEagles''. @sirwebs : ''Why is Kelechi Nwakali not going to Russia @thenff ?''. @DonbayTips : ''I am loving this kelechi Nwakali All the way bro #RUSSIA2018''. @fabianobi : ''Kelechi Nwakali the only football player in @NGSuperEagles team in this match Drop all this ***''. @fillskuku : ''Is it not too late to add kelechi nwakali to Russia bound squad.'' @Temidayojnr : ''Kelechi Nwakali is a very good player.'' @Dr_Xcizzie : ''I think Kelechi Nwakali should be on the super eagles team to the world cup, as back up.'' @Debizzzle : ''#Kelechi nwakali should pls replace onazi on that list Asap "super eagles" #NigAtl''. @cam14uche : ''@NGSuperEagles coach please check your world Cup list again @KelechiNwakali have to be there, he deserves it, no player in the National team midfield expect mikel Obi can fit to his standard, please give him a chance''. @otuya_m : '' hope there is space for @Kelechi_nwakali to make the #WorldCup else our coach should drop one of the midfielders cos this dude is the missing link..'' @IamSEGE : ''Kelechi Nwakali should be at the WorldCup''. @MrSangotoki : ''Kelechi Nwakali is a star for the present and future''. @JustEkene : ''Kelechi Nwakali should be on the plane to Russia. He’s world class!''. @Paulanyanwu24 : ''Kelechi nwakali should replace uche agbo immdiately''. @OhioPerry : ''Kelechi Nwakali should be in Russia''. the hype don start hahahahahahahahahaha! make we no rush this young man abeg ooooo 4 Likes |

Nihilstjnr: I dont know if am the only person that is line with your thought, you just nailed it. He played what the crowd wanted to see he fed them with their desires. But to be honest it was unnecessary (i dont want to be too harsh cos purposeless is extreme) because it didnt get him a big club didnt win much trophy and in no way helped his carrier grow. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Icon4s: It’s not my opinion that Jay-Jay had an uninspiring career. That’s a fact. He never even won APOTY, and that’s an award any reasonable African baller with world class talent should have won at least once. I agree he’s a Nigerian legend. Like I said in my first post, he’s a local champion. |

Kelechi Nwakali really did his reputation and super talents a super world of good today. He showed he has it in him, as he keeps maturing and growing, to step into those big shoes called the Mikel Obi role... He was simply unplayable today. Great in ball holding, beautiful eye vision passes, ability to hold off opponents and shield the ball... His well timed and purposeful dribbles and 360 degree turns.... He is a class act on the rise. The future is Bright for the Super Eagles midfield.... And we still have Ebere Eze and even other quality ones in the picture. Chidiebere Nwakali showed his quality too. His ability to sit deep and distribute and play it simple (as seen in the first half)and then in the second half, his ability to step things up by showing another side to his game... His adventurous side. H made a few driving dribbling runs and really used his bags of pace and tricks to good effect. He can play DM, CM and can get forward... I think this kid is a box-to-box MF... He showed that Naby Keita side sometimes... Another for the future if he keeps his head and focus. These two brothers were really good. My salutes to them. No hypes. Sir Metaljigsaw... Looolll... Truly no hypes.. But Sir Icon79 is right. Please let us mainatian perspective but in doing so, we must take nothing away from the splendid performances today of certain individual players and then the whole team on the overall. I enjoyed the game ladies and gentlemen despite the team's obvious shortcomings at the back... It was like attending the concert of a virtuoso artiste. Lovely display of the beautiful game. Cheers and #SoarSuperEagles 3 Likes

charlesemeka85: The bants have already begun. This team's display have really put Gernot Rohr under pressure. Anything less than an impressive showing in Russia, questions will be asked why certain players weren't given a chance. Nigerians outside Nairaland are ridiculously demanding of the Super Eagles. |

Nihilstjnr: It is a fat lie that J J had an uninspiring career. Even the great Ronaldinho acknowledged he got inspiration from JJ let alone other Nigerian players. Like Okocha or not he remains one of Africa's greatest. 4 Likes |
