Please can someone submit a france tourist visa application at the application centre in Lekki without a prior appointment? I have someone that intends to fly into Lagos tomorrow to submit tomorrow. If a prior appointment is needed I would tell him to be prepared to stay in Lagos for some days.

I have been looking for this information for the past 24 hours. I have just finished filling the form and submitted, I spent the next 1 hour, looking for the appointment booking portal, to select a date to submit my file.

Kindly confirm i do not need to book an appointment. All i need to do is just walk into VFS and submit the documents?

Anyone who gets to France on a long stay visa and is not a member of the FON group in France should PM me. FON is a group of Nigerians where they share opportunities, events and help for fellow Nigerians. It’s made up of both Nigerian students and professionals In France

It depends. If you will be going to Italy directly from Nigeria for the official assignment, you have to get the Italian visa but if you will be going from France then there is no need cos the visa will not be checked

If your current Schengen visa will be valid throughout your intended stay in Italy, and if you had travelled with the visa to France in the past, then you can use that same visa to travel to Italy. You don't need to get another visa.

However if your visa will be expiring or will not be valid throughout your intended stay in Italy then you have two options. Apply for a Schengen visa using Italy since that's the first country you want to visit. Or you apply directly for Italian Visa. However, with Italian Visa you can't visit any other Schengen country.

I disagree with this Because my friend was denied flying to Netherlands even when he had a valid French schengen papers. He and to book his flight to France and go by road.

He stayed in France for one year. Only went to Nigeria for 3weeks

Well I don't know the kind of Schengen Visa your friend got but the normal Schengen Visa I know only allows you to stay a maximum of 90 days in a Schengen State after which you are not eligible to travel to a Schengen State till the same 90 days elapse outside the Schengen State. They did it such that the maximum length one can stay in a Schengen State in a year is 6 months.

So for your friend to stay up to a year in France, it means he got a different kind of Visa.

I studied French language (major) with 2:1 here in Nigeria. And I think I meet the financial requirements. I have a family of 3 and I really need to know which is the best possible route to relocate to france both to get good job, and secure permanent Residence for my family.

Would you advice securing a job there first? While i am still here, is it even possible? Or trying to get enrolled into a university for a Masters Program, and secure a job while studying. And what's the very first thing I need to do?

Kindly advice.
