locodemy: A lot is contributing to the bear taking hold of NSE and either we believe it or not, bear will keep taking hold for the next few months. infact, q2 may not do the magic much. Now the institutional investors will be selling their holdings gradually in order not to let the prices fall more than necessary so uninformed investors will still be buying thinking miracles will happen. institutional in term of the foreign investors and this they will continue to do till we enter the election period. So all that will be experienced is ups and down till they finally pull out their both capital and profit. Meanwhile, local investors that are naive would keep waiting endlessly for bulls. in my own opinion |

locodemy: my brother, stocks investment is a very good game which I love so much but one must understand how it works in Nigeria so as to be able to get maximum returns. I said it earlier on this forum that stocks prices will only be galloping till year end but guys on this forum were making jest of me. I will never stay away totally from stocks but one must just know the right time to exit and the right time to enter 1 Like |

Boom times have returned on Wall Street, at least for one trading desk. Goldman Sachs made $200 million in profit on a single day this February as calm in stock markets was shattered with a historic surge in volatility, according to people with knowledge of the move. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/23/goldman-made-a-staggering-200-million-in-one-day-as-markets-plunged.html?__source=newsletter%7Ceveningbrief 1 Like

dipoolowoo: huge error in selling power and upstream, I know Ghana entity many not make profit but power and upstream make good profit. all other major has other businesses but for is putter all her eggs into one basket cos of dangote...... |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by wanaj0: 11:20pm On May 23, 2018 |
aremso: They are concentrating in an area they understand and have core competencies. Capital requirement for power and upstream is huge. The profitability of power and upstream businesses is exaggerated. Drilling one dry hole can sink a small company. OandO is seeing that upstream is not child's play. 1 Like |
