My advice

It's not advisable to cultivate cashew alone.
Corn, cassava can be intercropped with it pending the time it will be ready for harvest.

Before the cashew start maturing, you can still be generating money from it.

it's budding very important in cashew. I planted a cashew with out budding and is still produce in the 3rd year .what do you mean by hybrid seeds what makes them hybrids. I know cashew has 3 varieties (correct me if I am wrong) I saw you wrote 9kg yield for how old cashew plant

At 18 months = 1 kg
At 3 and 5 years = 10-13 kg
At 5 and 10 years = 25 kg
Above ten years = 50 kg

Can be spaced at 6m x 6m for the new dwarf varieties. Yields are also dependent on soil fertility and the availability of water all year round.

I have one in my Lokoja house and the yields are not encouraging. It's about 8kg after 7 years though cashew is known to do poorly in Lokoja.

grafting cashew grow and mature faster.
It is rare to cultivate ungrafted cashew and matures in 3 years,
Within 3 years, 9kg is assured.

*A Short Story on Self Confidence*

There was a business executive who was deep in debt and could see no way out.

Creditors were closing in on him. Suppliers were demanding payment. He sat on the park bench, head in hands, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy.

Suddenly an old man appeared before him. “I can see that something is troubling you,” he said.

After listening to the executive’s woes, the old man said, “I believe I can help you.”

He asked the man his name, wrote out a check, and pushed it into his hand saying, “Take this money. Meet me here exactly one year from today, and you can pay me back at that time.”

Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come.

The business executive saw in his hand a check for $500,000, signed by John D. Rockefeller, then one of the richest men in the world!

“I can erase my money worries in an instant!” he realized. But instead, the executive decided to put the uncashed check in his safe. Just knowing it was there might give him the strength to work out a way to save his business, he thought.

With renewed optimism, he negotiated better deals and extended terms of payment. He closed several big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and making money once again.

Exactly one year later, he returned to the park with the uncashed check. At the agreed-upon time, the old man appeared. But just as the executive was about to hand back the check and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man.

“I’m so glad I caught him!” she cried. “I hope he hasn’t been bothering you. He’s always escaping from the rest home and telling people he’s John D. Rockefeller.”

My Experience on cashew.

It is better to have a cashew farm where you can source your cashew from than just buying from random sellers expecting to resell to other large exporter.
I had some pretty bad experience recently buying some cashew nut from the farmers. After purchase,drying, we weigh, bagging and storing.
Days after storing, I discovered that the weight keep reducing.
a 80kg cashew might have lost up to 70kg within days.
so I called everybody and told them we need to find what is really happening.
We later discover that most of these farmers plucked the cashew nut before its ripened, so the more they are dried, the more they loose weight.
if you are a farmer, you will be able to track your the source and determine the quality compare to buying them from source you don't know

The next step is to sort your seeds.
how do you do that?
Prepare a bowl filled with water and pour the amount of cashew seeds that can contain the bowl.

After pouring,the nuts that floats are not viable and should not be planted while the ones that settled at the bottom should be planted.

Planting the floating ones will lead to wasted time and effort because it won't germinate.

I have discovered that what discourage people from taking action on their goal is because what they want to become is not within their grasp now.
for instance you want to be like dangote now but you have no money to even feed not to talk of starting a business to realise your dream, you give up easily because you don't feel that you can be like him due to your current situation.

My advice.
