lol opari master where did you draw up this incomplete list of yours from? wait let me draw up mine then we can see how ''better'' the 2014 squad was enyeama>>>>uzoho ejide>akpeyi/ajiboye agbim<<<<ezenwa oshaniwa>idowu (time will tell) ambrose=shehu oboabona<balogun yobo (of 2014)<ekong omeruo 2014>omeruo 2018 egweike=awaziem (time will judge) odunlami<<<<<<<<<<ebuehi onazi 2014>=?onazi 2018 mikel 2014<<<mikel 2018 r.gabriel<<<(lol you actually want to compare them) ndidi r.azeez<etebo uchebo<<<<<<<<<ogu v.moses 2014<<v.moses 2018 osaze>m.simon emenike>ighalo musa 2014>=?musa 2018 m.babatunde<iwobi s.ameobi<<<<iheanacho uzoenyi<aina u.nwofor<j.obi from the comparisons you can see at least 13 better options in rohr's squad. it's only the goalkeeping department that has an obvious lack of quality Icon79: |

soetanoreoluwa:Ghana get sense. They wriggles and disconnected almost all asslicking connections with the white man and believed so much in themselves. It's why their presido is so bold to attack any foreign president now. When we stop asslicking, I think we would need not fear any diplomatic repercussions. With our current pace. We for Don old before that one happen. Only a miracle. |

NIGHTMAREOO7:Is Joel Obi his brother? When he was calling for his inclusion in the team, why didn't you call him a tribalist? Is Ebuehi his brother? Is Josh Onomah his brother? Is Fred Oyedinma his brother? Is Mikel Agu his brother?? When he was saying Vic Moses can be as good as Salah under a coach like Klopp, why didn't you call him a tribalist?? If you haven't been here long enough, don't say something you're not certain of. It's talk like this that actually spoils the thread. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Simy Nwankwo lights up Nigeria's World Cup camp Not many who came to watch the Super Eagles' first full pre-World Cup camp training session at the practice pitch of the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium, could have told Simy Nwankwo from Adam before the session started. This includes the assembled posse of journalists who had defied the burning topical sun to turn up to observe. By the end of the session, however, everyone present knew who the Crotone forward was, and this wasn't just because of his towering beanpole frame. All it took was one moment of goalscoring magic, but there were many others before and after. After an hour of exercises, limbering up and ball work, Gernot Rohr broke his team into two sides to play against each other. Simy led one line, and it was not too long before he left everyone open-mouthed with his skill. First he beat the offside trap, admittedly a marginal call, but then out-sprinted his marker with long, rangy steps before moving one on one with goalkeeper Francis Uzoho. Without breaking stride, he dropped a shoulder, watched Uzoho take the bait and sprawl helplessly on the turf, before chipping a majestic ball over the young goalkeeper. First, a collective gasp, then applause went around the watchers on the sidelines. One security detail nearly dropped his rifle. It was a moment of genius, and the kind of goal that can seal a World Cup berth for an outsider. This isn't to say that Simy has already secured his spot in Russia, but goals like that, and the consistently high overall technical ability he showed on Thursday, could well lead to a surprise selection. The player himself would not be drawn into losing his head in the clouds "I am just here to be part of the family," he told KweséESPN afterwards. "It's not about what I can add to the team. "It's about becoming part of a big family that has been doing great things and adapting to the system. Inside the team there are a lot of quality players that have been doing well, so it's just about becoming one of them." If he keeps up this level of performance, Simy should slide seamlessly into the Super Eagles side. http://global.espn.com/football/nigeria/story/3509201/simy-nwankwo-lights-up-nigerias-world-cup-camp?platform=amp 2 Likes 1 Share |

edi287: Oga stop being a devil's advocate. Don't try to cover up what we know already. Tell me how far he goes in defending those players you listed above. The intensity is always different when he defends his Yoruba brothers. Just a mere mention that Aina's father will influence Aina's selection and he comes up with talks that Iwobi and Ebuehi's fathers are in camp too. What do you call that? That guy is drunk in tribalism. 2 Likes |

Mujtahida: But the tools used by this master-minders are the politicians. I got to know about it when I listened to the confession of a French man that stated France involvement in all the French colonies. He even went further to reveal how the French government secretly trained and armed Biafran soldiers which the French government denied as at then even ttill date. When asked the reason behind their interest, he plainly said 'OIL' and categorically stated that they were not after the well being or separation of Biafra. So, how do we recreat ourselves in a new light without the tools? |

Unlimited22: costa rica was bang average yet topped a group that had uruguay, england, italy in 2014. we are not fooling ourselves that we are not underdogs but logically we have seen with team work and good coaching we could probably get out of the group. argentina are favourites but they are very vulnerable, croatia have world class players but couldn't top their world cup qualifying group that had turkey finland iceland and ukraine so is it really a stretch believing we can beat them? you are entitled to believe we don't stand a chance in hell but why begrudge someone from believing the opposite? 4 Likes |

forgiveness:It's the word. Consciousness can always be created and recreated. Some days ago I actually said I don't know how we are going to bounce back but I said that cos of my realisation of the overwhelming and almost impossible nature of the work to be done. We can create a new consciousness by creating the mentality of a great and noble people. Movies, songs, great art work, leadership that is inspired and inspires can create this cultural revolution. |
