Good morning Mamas, happy weekend
My first question here. I have been on peeping mode

Please my DD had 3 boils on her head 2weeks ago and I took her to see the doctor who prescribed Augmentin and Vitamin c which dried everything up. But yesterday I noticed another one on her head plus some other rash like with pus (not boil) and it's moving to her neck area .
Picture attached to see what it looks like.
It's strange to me because I have never experienced skin Issues with my other kids

Has anyone experienced this? Please what can I use?

Kindly help me please.
Mama Zaynie and other Mamas

I'll suggest you use mild antiseptic or antibacterial soap and warm water to bath her .& dont use bathing sponge on her for now,it can spread boil infection to other part of the body.

This got me laughing. No be small you resemble chicken. My dear I regretted allowing my mothers to do that to me. Ignorance is a disease, i wish I knew there was other methods then but I discovered it late but I know better now. I thank God that my tummy is better now and it's getting better.
my mum massage my Tommy with hot water and I don't have av stretch mark on it as a result of hot water. it's all depends on how your tummy expanded during pregnancy (I used coconut oil/vaseline)so I did Av/body type

Good evening mothers......I have read all the food you pack for your sweet lo's . its quite encouraging. I wish my lo can take all that.

We clocked one on Monday, but he only take pap, cereal, sometimes puree (not always) I just introduced him to hollandia custard yesterday and he has been taking it without any wahala.

Please ma, how can I introduced these our normal food to eat. Another thing I found out is that he doesn't like to take any food that has particles or even small texture. He want everything smooth like pap.

Help a ftmum
this is my son's twin

Thank maami me no even send am again buh the pati3nt is killing me can't wait to give him orisirisi food. I think he like potatoes and carrot purree (mix) and apple pureethat's the only food he takes so well without forcing it down
hunniesuzie:
My boy was like yours. We still struggle with rice at 15 months but he's much better. Start introducing lumps into his food gradually. Start making oats without blending (normal quaker oats). Then if you give potato puree start mashing it with unsalted butter. Make swallow very watery then with time start making it thicker...gradually it will work

My baby now eats rice, swallow, potatoes (not mashed) and bread+tea...2 months ago any food that is not smooth will be returned to you as vomit. He still won't eat with you if you're eating adult food and offer him but put soft rice in his plate, he will eat. Persistence and patience is key

I always burst/clean the boil with methylated spirit first so it won't spread before I apply sudocrem on it.

I'm not a fan of antibiotics

Hello House, Pls what can I use to cure Carpal tunnel. The pain is becoming unbearable.
Sorry dear. I experienced it until about delivery. What worked for me was frequent flexing of the wrist n fingers, sometimes i put my hand in a warm water and just try to flex it. There was a time I held unto an ice pack but not sure to have felt better. so you can try the warm water.

Okay. Then, he may have ear infection. Like cold that affect the ear. So take him to hospital for him to be checked. It happens to my daughter, anytime he wants to be ill the signs she shows is non-appetite.

That thing has no real cure. It will stop by itself when it's ready to. You can only manage the pains now by taking mild pain relievers. If you are breastfeeding, not good to be on pain relievers for a long time.

Hand washing clothes help too.

Happy graduation smiley No ... Real unadulterated coconut oil doesn't darken or bleach rather it enhances the original complexion and makes it glow.

Mofe has been using coconut oil since birth till now, skin remains frosh.

I'm not advocating because I sell but because that's the fact.

For eela, I've never experienced it with any of my babies cos they are always skinny booboos. But I heard plenty testimonies with the red alcalypha plant. You book it and bsyhe your baby with it. It stains so avoid using white towels while st it. You can also drink it (I don't subscribe to babies drinking agbo) and hopefully a good dose of it will pass on to the baby.
Also avoid using certain creams or steroids (eg Funbact A or skineal or baby tribotan mixed with ori is thought to maintain a good skin color), it actually disrupts the normal flora (the bacteria that are part and parcel) of the skin and leads to skin diseases. These normal flora serve as the first line of defense (cos they are like the area boys of the skin so that any foreign bacteria that settles will be quickly chased off, when the foreign bacteria is too strong, then the immune system sets in, when the immune system cannot handle it, you need drugs). Steroids and some creams disrupt the normal flora.
I recommend any natural oils, because it is natural just like we are (from nature) so there is a high tendency that our body is familiar with these oils and easily absorbs them. The oils are also rich in vitamins that are really good for skin and hair (all oil-based vitamins are great for skin). There are a lot of natural oils, google and choose one which will be easy for you to make or buy and will be just right for your pocket.
Other treatment for eela that has worked for some include use of steroids (please stop as soon as the symptoms disappear), cacatin is herbal (caca bark), keeping the affected part clean and dry (eela is fungal and fungi can only grow in moist place which is why you'll find eela in hidden or folded skin). You can keep it clean by wiping with a water based wipes or just a damp rag, you can apply powder ( be careful so powder dust/particle doesn't settle on your child), and you can try to dress minimally for the baby.
Another culprit could be your bath water.

For rashes, its simple.
Don't overswaddle. Biko let the child breathe but not to over expose to cold o.
Secondly, I noticed that my daughter got a rash while she was using Aveeno in the first few weeks of her birth, we switched to coconut oil and no issue till date.
On hot afternoons, don't overdress the child and a quick shower when he's hot and stick won't hurt.
Sometimes I use Rising raving powder when the heat is overbearing.

If you don't mind, use Funmicoconuts, I know of people that use her cold pressed coconut oil and have only great reviews. It might seem expensive but trust me it lasts for a longer time and is worth every drop.

Choi when did I become Alphahan..dmaiden cry cry cry

Thanks for your recommendation Zaynie kiss

I wanted to added to what you have said but apparently you have said it all.

I'm done with petroleum products on babies skin... Natural oil is the way to go.

My son has these whenever he is teething.
It could also be an allergic reaction.
Let the pus drain on its own. Sometimes pus is a good thing cos its a result of the body fighting off infections (pus contains the dead cells of the pathogen alongside dead white and red blood cells and other by the ways)..
When it drains, avoid it touching other part of her body in order to minimise spread.
Also see a doctor it it continues to multiply.

Kisses to her kiss
