You don't expect their midfield to stay compact against Modric, Kroos and Casemiro. Barcelona's present midfield is not so gracious, now that Iniesta has left, compared to the aforementioned trio.

That's how Liverpool always play. Gra-gra for the first 30mins and that's when they usually score most of their goals, it worked against Man City but Madrid is just a quality side that can tame any team.

And for Salah, that's where Liverpool missed it, they were overly dependent on him thus the loss in morale.

Klopp's error of judgement, in addition to Karius' settled the match in favour of Madrid. Karius' error is clearly horrendous. but Klopps' is also disappointing. When Mane gave us a way back into the match after Madrid had been dominating the game, I expected him to change his ineffective 4-3-3 formation that had gaping holes in the midfield, for a 4-4-2, with Can coming in for Milner at that point in time. It was clear that Firmino was totally absent in the match, with much of the work upfront left for Mane. This could have reduced Madrid's midfield dominance. But, he stuck to his preferred formation.
