Well @Adumii has really hit the nail. There are so many things that will complicate issues on y application, so many questions will arrise when taking decision on y application. You said y uncle is sponsoring y visit, and y hubby stays in the UK as permanent resident, then why is he not sponsoring u and his child? This will raise eye ball and ECO will doubt the possibility of u coming bk.The decision will be base on:- That y hubby could av apply for spouse visa for u but, may be he is not able to meet the spouse visa requirements base on his financial level in the UK bc he has to be earning about £22,000 to fill for u and his child and if he does not earn dat, it will be difficult to fill for u guys and this can make them to take decision that u might not come bk. I could av prefer that, he applys for spouse visa for u, if he meets the requirements Or u apply and be the person that will sponsor y self or y hubby sponsor y trip if u guys av good job with monthly pay and comprehensive statement of account that will cover yr visit with y child , then yr hubby can write a cover note to explain that he is really missing his family and will like them to spend some weeks with him this summer, he wishes to apply for spouse visa for u next year but meanwhile he will like u guys to visit him for a short stay and conclude that, u guys will definitely leave UK after y stay. He can attach letter of invitation, statement of account, payslip. Also show attached pictures of u and hubby, kid, wedding pic and other pictures u are together. Since y spouse visa might take a while u guys can visit. I d'nt see anything wrong in visiting y hubby in the UK if he has a legal status. This is my advice , others can also add their own contributions.

That is not true, he only need to be earning £18.600 per year. The child is technically British.

Hello please I need a candid advice on this matter.

I am planning to go back to the UK with my child to meet her father who resides in the UK and has also gotten his permit. But I don't know how to go about it.

I have been traveling to the UK since 2011 as a student my Uncle(a British citizen) has been inviting me but I have been visiting my hubby too. The last time I went to UK was 2014 and i came back 2015 and I went to put to bed I was told to pay for the bills which I just finished paying.

Now I want to go back with my child, I have changed my name on my passport as married to my hubby name who has also gotten his permit but my cousin still wants to invite me as usual, my child has a UK BC I have finished paying the NHS bills.

My question is
Do I need to disclose in my application that my hubby lives in the UK and I will also be visiting him during my stay or I should say he resides in Nigeria?

Meanwhile his address and that of my Uncle are both on my Child's BC

If I claim he resides in Nigeria I hope its not going to affect me wen he wants to apply for stay permit for me and my child

And if I claim he resides in the UK will they need his passport data page to know his status in the UK and won't they assume that I may not want to come back to 9ja and then refuse my visa.

And also my hubby doesn't want to be the one to invite us now due to long time response by home office.... He just wants a faster way since I have been traveling to d UK before. The application takes too long and a bit expensive especially for 2 people....

Please kindly advice me on what to do. I will be filling the application form anytime soon.

Thanks

Why Seriously why? Your hubby lives in the UK as ILR holder and you want to lie about this?

1. YES is the answer is that is the truth.

2. Include all your bank statements as long as you can defend the sources of money in them with evidence

Thank you.

So what do you suggest I do?

You guys are asking me to go down the spouse route we all know what that too entails and how long it takes. Earning £22,000 and £18,600 is almost the same thing and its not easy to get that and even if.... it will take time to gather payslips and all that.... My hubby and I has also tout about that that's why we tout of giving the visitor visa a short....

I have never overstayed ever since I have been going to the UK I also put to bed I still came back to 9ja and also paid the NHS bills and I waited about 3yrs before trying to apply again because I want my child to go and visit my uncle and his family and also to let my child see where she was born and other beautiful places alongside visit her father ......

At least they should consider all this and see a reason why they should give me the visa now.....

I am just so disturbed because I don't want to be refused.... Please what do u suggest I can add to back up my application i m a student doing masters..... Is that enough.....

Please guyz help me out..... That's why I ve come here

Since y dad is going with y mum, he will be the sponsor. I will advice him to have total of 3M or 4M in his account, showing the budget of all he will spend with y mum in the UK for 4wks and some money to be left in his account to show what he will fall bk on when they come bk home. For the budget , he should calculate the flight fare for two, estimate of 560 or 600k, living expenses incase they will not like to fully depend on his friend ,ticket money for sight seeing, transport and shopping.

The requirements he needs as a civil servant are:-

Employment letter
Confirmation letter (incase he had it)
6months pay slips
Letter of introduction from office stating that he is going on his annual leave
6months comprehensive statement of account with good balance.
Staff ID card
Pension statement of account for 6months
Tax clearance certificate
Letter of invitation.
Marriage certificate
And any other documents like properties.

We have all offers our advises and suggestions, that you should not misrepresent any information about your hubby. It is left for you to decide either to apply or not. As much as you have a valid reason to visit the UK. The burden is on you to proof that you will return back to Nigeria. Personally I doubt if the ECO will believe you given your current circumstances in Nigeria.

Well.... In my opinion .... it depend on how your hubby obtain his stay in the UK... you need to think ... before you start saying I wish havent...
1st. You can apply and be silent abt your hubby if you did not mention abt him in your 1st visa apply application... (with that u have not lie or you might be having issues with him at the time of this application which you can easily explain in future if you want to apply for spouse visa)
Go by you want to visit ur uncle and have holiday with your child in a country where the child was born... provide all necessary docs including ur skl docs, child birth certificate the NHS payment receipts and hope for the best....
pls if ur hubby ILR is not obtained in a straight forward way (hope you unstd wat I mean) pls dont include the man ooo...
My own experience... not visa related becos I am british but... this people can digg things oooo beyond ur imagination... and can link up things ooooo.

It doesn't matter how her hubby got his stay she no option than to state things as factual as its. misrepresentation is a serious issue

I suggest that you tell the truth bluntly whether for visiting visa or spouse visa.

It doesn't take time to gather payslip if your hubby has being working for at least 6months with the same company because employers send payslips to employees weekly or monthly.

He doesn't need to have £18,600 in his account he only need to prove that he earns that amount yearly and a letter from his company, his payslips or his P60 from tax office which he should have since April 5 can be used as an evidence of that.

If you want to apply for visiting visa then go ahead and be honest while on it, you are taking your kid to see the daddy, get a letter from him, 6months bank statement, 6months payslips, evidence of accommodation(Tenancy agreement or mortgage paper) and data page of his passport.

If he is holding ILR then a photocopy of his ILR card.

Submit your marriage certificate, receipt of NHS bill, your kid birth certificate, your admission letter, your last result report, school ID and a letter from your school.

Since you are student obviously your hubby support financially, you need to include evidence to money or gift sent to you from him

Evidence of communication..whatsapp chats, phone call log, emails, facebook etc..whichever way both of your keep in touch include evidence of that.

And lastly pictures of both of you together during your visits

Thank you @justwise for your advice I really appreciate and everyone that has given me one advice or the other I sincerely appreciate you have made me understand this application more.

But @justwise one of the reasons why my hubby cant invite me now is because his contract job he was doing b4 ended last year November and he has not gotten any other job since then and besides he has been traveling so dats why he can't invite us now and I don't think we can still use the payslips of last year. He is just trying to get another job now. That's was why we decided to use my uncle since he has been inviting me before..... Can I still use my uncle as the invitee and the sponsor?

But now I see this things might be a bit some how.... Is there another way I can go about it... Like claiming I m not yet married..... That will mean I will have to change my passport is that even possible?

I don tire oo!

I feel u. There are complications on u using single in y application. The reason is that ,y old passport is using y median name and new passport hubby surname. Moreso, during the time u will submit and fill application, u will be asked about y previous visit to the UK and u will also make copies of photocopies of previous visa and passport page along with application. If the ECO sees the old and new passport is aving different surname this raise eye ball that u are married.
2. Another is the birthday cerificate of y child. The father's address and signature is on the birth certificate. Another problem

3. If u are using single ps note that on y court marriage certificate , the date of marriage will be checked during y the process of y spouse visa. Bc it is court marriage certificate that ECO prefers than church cerificate. For example if u claim u are single 2018 and during y spouse visa process ECO finds out y marriage certificate date was 2015. This will make the ECO refuse y spouse visa application.

The only soln u can apply as single is if y passport is still in y median name , then u av not done court marriage, that is what can help u to apply as single, then when y hubby is ready to file for u guys he comes down to Nigeria and do court marriage.

For me I will advice you to go with @justwise advice to avoid future problem in processing y spouse visa.

Hello Sir @Justwise and every other expert. Finally had to join nairaland so I could ask my questions. so i will give a bit of a background to my questions, I currently live in Sweden as a full time masters student for about a year now.

I was refused a UK visa to see my sister and her husband during my Christmas holidays last year because i mentioned i had other family members in the UK but did not provide their biopages and proof of legal residence (didnt do so because they were away on vacation), but i provided all my sister and her husband's documents as full sponsors - bank statements, invitation, utility bills, birth certs of my sister and i, bio pages and proof of legal residence in the UK, plenty docs from school to prove my being in full time studies - the whole nine yards.

So I have reapplied for summer and my biometrics will be in the middle of June. My sister and husband are moving on to Canada at the end of the month on ministry assignment. This time, my brother and family will be around and they want me to spend the holidays with them.
My invitation letter was addressed and signed by my sister-in-law and she is sending docs to me (both brother and wife are British citizens) but my brother is too busy! so they agreed that she would do my letter and send her own docs.

I didnt include my sister and her husband as family residing in the UK because they are moving in 3 days and wont be in the UK in July when I plan to visit. I stated my sister-in-law as sponsor and my teenage nephews and her as relatives in the UK alone without mentioning my brother? Will this be okay?
looking forward to your thoughts on this? i was thinking about mentioning these in my cover letter or just leave it alone.

Though, we had our biometrics in Ikeja on the 2nd of May, we are still expecting after 17 working days.

Let's keep in touch for any update.
Hi, I already bought my going and returning tickets, I did my bio on 22nd of May, but it is still showing me Decision Made on the TLS portal, how long do you think it takes, cause I need to be there before 11th of June

Take a monthly payslip of #18000 to the embassy and apply for UK visiting visa and am sure you will be given 5yrs visa

Be reasonable for once, we all know that a salary of ₦18k cumulatively for a whole year without taking a Kobo from it can't even buy you a return ticket,Same way a salary of ₦250k a month is not automatic to grant you a Visa... Nothing is cast in concrete

the money in my account do)?.(WILL IT HAMPER ECO DECISION)

1. No, confirmation letter will not affect it but, if u d'nt av it no problem , it is just that it helps atimes if u are applying as an employee of a company. If u av a good HR in y organisation he/she should be able to write confirmation letter for u after 6months probation. Let the HR check y staff fille and calculate 6months u joined the company and write the letter, if it is not possible u can leave it, your employment letter, payslips will cover it.

2. Your 2M depends on how long u will stay in the UK.

FGN bond certificates, TBills certificate and other investment certificates are what u will fill when asked if u av other savings or investment. The most important thing is showing a good comprehensive statement of account with a good closing balance. The ECO wants to see your total budget in your account and the remaining amount to show that u av something to fall bk on when u guys return. So u av to do a good mathematics here. Your statement of account is preferable.
3. If tax certificate is not available no problem but , note that, if there is no tax deduction stated in your payslips, it will lead to refusal. UK are really concerned with your tax deduction, they d'nt joke with it, so it is compulsory u must av it stated in y payslips.
4. Letter of invitation is not compulsory if u d'nt av any one inviting u guys. All u need to do is go to booking.com and book hotel for duration of stay and print out from y email. U will take it along with u when u want to submit y documents, it serves as proof of accomodation.
5. Landed properties ps. If u no get am no problem.
6.yes of course, it is one of the widely used for booking hotels
7. U can not book for flight reservation until your visa is approved.
